Gold's Gym Rockingham

Negative experience: Very disappointed with Golds gym. As I work late hours 8-6, 6 days a week. (work being 45 minutes from home) When ever I came to the gym no staff was there ever to assist with getting my scan tag to finish signing me up. I have been only a few times with friends. I paid for my membership mind you. A lady didnt see me scan in and ai was immediately greeted with rudeness. A scottish lady basically said that we could get fined for this even though she didnt even hear my explanation.. I explained when she let me; working later hours was hard for me to come in and get the tag- she had asked me to go on my bank and find where this gym had taken payment, I looked everywhere with no luck, she asked me to look on my emails but I had signed up with my work email which I have no way of getting into unless I am at work. She was no help with signing me up and said for me and my friend who “were caught on CCtv” that we werent able to work out. Appalling customer service, i get you may have had to go home or were in a rush to get home but would you rather help this company get another member on board or go home with a bad review. Just for next time; HELP people rather than turning them away.. I see two more reviews on here for bad customer service. Do better.

Fantastic experience: Always a super pleasant staff member at the counter, well kept facilities (clean and hygienic!!) and can blend a banger of a high protein smoothie

Negative experience: I’m very disappointed with the customer service and administration at Rockingham Gold’s Gym. The organization appears to be lacking, as I’ve experienced numerous issues with account management and communication. I highly recommend keeping detailed email records when dealing with them to avoid confusion, as relying on verbal agreements alone hasn’t worked in my experience. Despite the convenience of this location being just down the road, I’d rather drive an extra 15 minutes to a different gym where I can trust my concerns will be handled professionally and consistently. Improvement in customer service and administrative processes would go a long way for this facility.

Negative experience: Not a very nice place with that manager on the front desk. All girls are rude. Gone down hill since they sold it.

Negative experience: Average gym, out dated equipment (equipment commonly "out of service" , benches have rips in them, machines grip handles have been non existant for extended period of time) very overcrowded at times. Will be interested to see how long the recently anounced refurbishments will take and what exactly will be updated. Tjere are definitely better gyms to go to in the area now with the opening of REVO fitness up the road.

Negative experience: Poor overall gym, dated equipment, they charge $50 dollars for a replacement fob that cost afew dollars online

Positive experience: A good over all gym. Cardio and function area, Great boot camp/ callisthenics area outside. Small but mighty steel beam area inside for pullups and crossfit. Small boxing area also available. Sauna is a great addition aswell as the smoothie bar. You can buy protein here aswell. The creche team at this gym are stellar aswell as the creche having a full playground available, and an area for babies aged 3 months and up. Not a large creche, but the outdoor playground really makes up for that. The gym itself has decent equipment and will get the job done for what you need. Not my favourite out of the 5 gyms but, the classes offered there are amazing. I extremely recommend Xtreme Hiphop with Myz if you want a fresh, fun change of pace.

Fantastic experience: This gym is the BOM. It's huge massive variety of space and equipment. Has pieces of equipment of equipment I never knew existed!!! It's my go to gym everyday! Love the facilities and what it provides and ample gym wipes to wipe down the equipment big tick!

Fantastic experience: The creche is the best! The ladies are wonderful & the kids love going there, and the availability and price is the best SOR. I do wish we could book 2 hours for the older kids instead of the 90 min limit when not in peak/school holiday times, but understand with Covid and staffing etc. Gym is well equipped, members and staff are friendly. All enquiries and problems have been sorted quickly by the manager Sasi who does a great job. There's a great studio which is fully mirrored which is awesome for dance, choreography and posing. Best gym SOR for sure.

Negative experience: While it has decent facilities the joining fee of $80 for a compulsory bag of goodies and a cancellation fee of $50 is already 12 weeks of membership, and you’ll notice on their joining page does actually say additional fees 0, and no cancellation fees mentioned. As far as gyms go, there are definitely better options considering how busy it is most of the time,

Fantastic experience: Best atmosphere on the south side!! With the largest range of high quality equipment you could ask for. Staff are 10/10. A must visit!!

Positive experience: I love the classes available. Such good class teachers for Zumba, Yoga, body, boxing and so on. The gym vibe is like a 2nd family. Appreciate the creche facillities and wonderful staff there.

Positive experience: This is the best golds gym. However not necessarily the best gym. It requires more deadlifting platforms and it also could use more strong man and less crosshit focus in the "crossfit" room. Sauna and spar. Often a bit gross. Men toilets are disgusting and need urgent attention. The urinal is the wrong height and piss goes everywhere. Rank! The equipment verity saves this place. The staff are fantastic also. Never been to a gym where they weren't.
