Fantastic experience: been doing JuJu at ArteSuave for over a year. The owner and instructors are very approachable and very experienced. This gym is great to enjoy as recreation but also serves the more serious contenders. I have been choked out by many gladiators from this gym both men and women, but always gone home with a smile and feeling better for training Jiujitsu. If you haven't done grappling this is the gym for you, if you are experienced and want to sharpen your skills this is also the gym for you. Witnessed coach Sergio lead the tail end of a session.. implementing incredible technique in 'king of the mats' and then finished with a closed eyed meditative drop in, followed by a circle and discussion. love this and look forward to dropping by again soon Great atmosphere here Oos!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, level of grappling is awesome. A lot of great people. The technical understanding of movement patterns and skill application is underrated of the coaches. Definitely a must train gym. Shout out to James Woontoon his classes be filled with well explained step by steps. Definitely worth your time.

Fantastic experience: What a beautiful place Arte Suave is! When I joined I had no background in any martial arts and I took up the 3-class pass on a whim. But now I can’t seem to get enough of it. The deep knowledge of the professors, the seamless learning structure of the classes, and the warm and helpful community at AS is the perfect mix I could have asked for. Fantastic experience: I first started at Arte Suave approximately 7 months ago and I never looked back. I chose their unlimited class per week option because I like the flexibility to attend as many classes as I can make each week. The coaches are fantastic and help you to unlock improvements each week, and the culture the owner Emanuela has built is second to none. All of her students are generous with their advice and support and look after you when you are rolling. If you are interested in the technical details there is a bunch of black belt coaches and if you want to compare gyms, just look at the results from the recent states comp or check out all the vids on their instagram. Can't recommend more strongly.

Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to walk into Arte Suave when I moved up from Sydney as a Purple Belt. I realised very quickly that the coaching is at the highest level, the cleanest gym I’ve attended and the coach’s care about your improvement using technical expertise I seldomly experienced previously. The training partners are very respectful and will push you to the levels that you want to achieve. The vibe in the gym is always positive and friendly (which you don’t get at other gyms if you’re not a white belt starting out). I’ve also have my two daughters training their now and it’s exciting for me to watch their progression knowing that someday not too far from now I’ll be getting tapped out by them.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Arte Suave for a little over a year now and can honestly say it’s amazing. The standard of teaching is incredible, with 3 high level black belts, supported by multiple competition coloured belts and visiting coaches. I learn something new every day and enjoy the mental and physical workout I get from each class. For me though, the culture is the main draw. Emanuela has done a fantastic job of building a welcoming and inclusive community, full of people from all walks of life, coming together to share their love of jiu jitsu. I can’t recommend this place enough.

With two large training floors, as well as private lesson rooms, weights equipment, pro shop and even an indoor rock climbing room, the facilities are second to none. With multiple high level Black Belt Instructors and a history of great tournament success - you know the instruction is at a high level. With over 30 years of experience as an Instructor myself I reccomend checking out Arte Sauve - you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Arte Suave is a truly an amazing Brazilian Jiu jitsu gym for everyone from the average person looking to learn BJJ, to the competitor looking to receive high level coaching in a good gym culture. The best aspect about this is first and foremost the culture and ethics of the gym, unlike a lot of other BJJ gyms there isn't any lock in contracts, hidden (or hidden increasing) fees, pressure to buy gym specific gear, or other dodgy behavior. The culture is positive and supportive of everyone's individual goals whether that's competing or not. I have had a few personal instances where the gym owner has acted with integrity and proactively identified and addressed problems affecting my billing or other smaller issues. I would strongly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a BJJ gym whether you're new or coming from an experienced background.

Fantastic experience: I started my BJJ journey back in 2008 and took a very long break and had resigned to the fact that my BJJ days were over. At AS, I was made to feel very welcome and the technical level of the instructors and students gave me confidence that I was in a safe environment where I could go at my own pace , enjoy it and still improve without the fear of injury. The in house physio is also amazing and it’s enabled me to bullet proof my legs and get my confidence back into rolling as now in my 50s as I had started to loose muscle mass and was worried about knee strain.. I am now back on track , enjoying making long lasting friends and overjoyed to be part of this amazing gym and community.

I've trained here now for several years along with my daughter and son (now 14 and 13) couldn't imagine training anywhere else. We've also all competed under the experienced guidance of the coaches and fellow teammates - all of whom are super chill and easy to get along with, no macho aggressiveness - unless you ask the nicely :-). You owe it to yourself to try it out for a few classes at the very least (pretty sure it's first 3 for free).

I always look forward to catching the train there and I leave with a smile on my face every time. Sempai Uros is strong but loving, Sensei Nic is smart but goofy, Sensei Anker knows all the secrets.

Art Suave has large and well maintained facilities and mat space with a central location and decent parking.
