Hi Surya, sorry to hear this is what you are seeing, as you can see from our reviews we don't normally get this type of review, so we tried to reach out to you for some extra information, please call us back or see one of our staff to see if we can assist. We have professional cleaners that clean the gym throughout every night/morning and also we do spot checks and cleans throughout the day. Furthermore our equipment is constantly repaired and we add in equipment as needed. Just so you know as well, we are currently going through the planning process for a full refit of the club mid 2025.

Negative experience: This gym is very dirty and smelly surrounding. My brother bought a new membership and was told by a staff member that he can bring a family member to accompany him, upon doing it was sent an email saying I have to pay 70$ for the forbe. Why does an accompanying family member needs to have a forbe? Doesn’t make any sense. What a rip off. Not recommended at all.
Hi Rose, we have strict safety protocols in place for a reason, your brother is not allowed to let you in after hours as you are not a member, if you wanted to try our club we would have let you in during staffed hours. It is disapointing that you have lashed out in anger and lied about our club being dirty and smelly because you got caught tailgating into the gym for free. Please remember we are a family owned business and reviews like these can hurt our business.

Hi Jessey, thanks for your review however I think you have reviewed the wrong business, we can't find you as a member or that you have trained as a casual, if you are talking about our club, are you able to speak directly to one of our staff members in the club to explain your suggestions clearly? We have just updated all our shower heads, and we have strong fans for air flow in the showers. As you can see we are not afraid to reinvest in the club for continuous improvement as we value every single member that walks into this business.

Negative experience: Gym is nice with fair amount of equipment for things you need. However keep an eye on your weights. Don't think id return though. I've been here twice and both times people have taken my weights because they seemed to be a priority. Once while I went to drink some water from my bottle and the 2nd time even when mentioned I was using it they just walked away with it.

Positive experience: The gym is well equipped, usually clean, well set out and has decent parking. However, of the Anytime Fitness gyms I have been to, the staff do the least here to enforce "no towel, no train" rule. Maybe 1 in 5 people use towels with the equipment. Also, pet peeve, people are really bad at putting weights away properly here. That's a bit harder for staff to enforce in fairness.

Fantastic experience: Good size, usually busy. Equipment is what you'd normally find at an Anytime. 5 stars because the staff are fantastic and the place is run REALLY well. everything is clean & well maintained. Staff are respectful, supportive & know what they're doing. they're always around, either running a class or a session or in the office & they're genuinely happy to help. overall gym environment is great, everyone is friendly. it makes the gym feel like a second home and makes you WANT to come into the gym.

It would be good if they had more of the smaller dumbbells because sometimes you do need to wait to use them (not a big deal just general feedback ).

Positive experience: This was used to be our favourite gym. Unfortunately it has become extremely crowded, especially 5-7pm where I can’t even find a mat or a machine or even a floor space to work on abs. However if you come here during lunch time then it’s not busy at all. Regardless, all of the staff has been always friendly and attentive. Hope the management team can help to rectify the minor negative issues.
Hi Andy, thank you for your feedback, I have spoken to our manager and we will purchase some extra mats, also, in the very near future we will be extending our functional training area as we run our classes in that area during those times so will be making more space. As for the odours, our staff do go around at peak times with air fresheners and we do run our stand alone air conditioners to ensure we have air circulating around the space as much as possible, so we do what we humanely can possibly do to ensure we don't have unpleasant odours in the club. Hope this explanation helps, if you have any other suggestions please speak to our staff directly as we always welcome feedback.

Negative experience: Fairly small and would be very hard and uncomfortable to get around if there are a few ppl there but it seems ok Although I wasnt able to connect to the tv or internet on there machine ls that have the screens to go online but it is not to bad would be great if it was bigger
Hi Melissa, thanks for your feedback, we will look at the TV's on the cardio, sometimes when they recline the plug becomes loose. As for the size of club, not much we can do there... rent starts to creep up for us as we go larger and we are not a large format gym, we are one of the larger Anytime Fitness clubs around though.
Fantastic experience: Great Gym with an excellent vibe and staff. Very multi cultural membership and everybody is friendly especially Athen (manager) and John Poaching (personal trainer) They are approachable and always willing to help. The size of 2 shopfronts in the Sunshine Marketplace shopping center. Huge indoor area. Double dumbbells in the lower weight ranges (12kg-26kg) so no waiting for weights. All standard Anytime fitness machines inside an ample area so you are never cramped in. Tons of parking outside. Situated right in the heart of Sunshine.

Fantastic experience: I've been in and out of gyms for 20 years and to me it was always a chore to get up and get in shape. I joined Anytime Sunshine about 5 months ago to try and shape up after lockdown. To me, it has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life. The vibe, co-gymers and staff have made it a great experience, and I'm feeling the fittest I've ever been. I'd like to acknowledge Andre who's been my PT since day 1. We catch up twice a week for sessions and he has ALWAYS been very tentative, empathic and keen to see me hit my goals. He's worked through all my injuries and given me so much confidence to try the 'bigger' machines that I was always too intimidated to try in the past. Most of all, he cares holistically for my health, as he checks in on my diet/sleep routines and ensures we build a good regimen around my already-busy schedule. I now feel my form, physique and fitness have considerably improved. More so, my motivation to hit my fitness goals has been reignited. I give all my thanks to Andre for this, and I sincerely hope he's given all the recognition he deserves. Great work Andre! Let's smash another PB dude!

Fantastic experience: Many gyms have the same equipment, but the staff working there is something you can't get elsewhere. They will genuinely listen to you and your concerns if you raise them. I definitely can't find any fault with the service they provide.

Fantastic experience: Have been to a few Anytime clubs since starting my contract just before the lockdowns of 2020. My experiences throughout covid have been fantastic — payments were frozen or credited when clubs were shut down, safety taken seriously and had plenty of online support. After moving from East to West Melbourne, I've visited several other Anytimes but am very happy with Sunshine. The staff and trainers aren't pretentious, have helped the gym become a second home and are always happy to chat or assist when trying something out for the first time. I'm a regular in the small group classes which have been a great addition to make friends and keep the healthy habits going. Like all gyms it can get busy during peak periods, and a few bits and pieces are due for an upgrade (treadmills, TVs occasionally on settings screens, the anytime apps), but for the things that matter — equipment, feeling safe, seen and heard — I'm very happy to recommend Sunshine.

Please note that we are small family owned business and one star reviews do not help us at all, especially with what we have all gone through the last few years in the pandemic. We are not a business that are here to steal money from our members. Please note as our manager explained to you and it is clear in the documentation that you signed that we have a 30 day notice period to cancel your membership. Also you asked for some refunds as you mention you did not use the club, for this point please note that it is up to you to use the services that we offer and cannot offer refunds if you did not use our services as much as you liked. I hope this reply is satisfacotry to you but I want to say again we are not in business to steal money from people.

Fantastic experience: We have had the privilege of working with Anytime Fitness Sunshine for over 1 year now and it has been the most pleasurable and professional experience we have ever come across in a gym setting. We have worked with a number of Anytime Fitness' in the area and Sunshine is by so far and away the best club that we have had the pleasure to deal with. Athan and Andre are the most accommodating hosts for when we provide tastings and sampling sessions to members, nothing is to inconvenient or ever a hassle. The gym is always clean and hygienic, and members feed of Athan and Andre's enthusiastic nature which makes the club a much loved place all round. We hope to continue to work closely with Anytime Fitness Sunshine for a long time to come.

Negative experience: Old equipment I only use due to the fact I don't like big gyms

Positive experience: Not the nicest anytime fitness, but has all the equipment. Doesn't have body wash and mouth wash in the bathrooms (unlike other anytime fitness clubs).

Positive experience: Gym is perfect. I have only issues with the payment process. They don’t intimate us about the payment completion once the payment has done nor they don’t remind us of the payment date. But they are always happy to indicate the late fee deduction through email. It would be easy if they intimate us before one or two days of the payment so we can have amount in the correct bank account. Thank you
Thank you for your review Chay, as for letting our members know about the DD, if you are monthly keep in mind that Debit Success will DD on the 1st of the month. We use a third party billing company and it is impossible for us to notify each member that a payment will come out of their account. It would be the same for your phone contract etc. I hope you understand... :)
Fantastic experience: Hands down the best Anytime Fitness club in the western suburbs of Melbourne. This club is clean and spacious with plenty of equipment - it's got everything I need! The staff and personal trainers are awesome and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend it!

Negative experience: I've been with anytime for 10yrs+ 1) you have upgraded our prices but not our equipment we use. 2) look at the treadmill, I had a safety issue that I reported also the incline doesn't work. Look at the the machines , They are deteriorating, cables that back in cavemen days?? Ipods??? 3) who puts a Mirror, drawer area in front of a stinking toilet. 4) lockers every place has keypads. Keys are going missing replacement is 70$. 5) towels need or wipes need used or implement no towel no train!! Attn owner I have mentioned over the years now. Why you think everyone is going derrimut. After 10yrs I'm planning to sign up with them.

Negative experience: If you sign up at anytime fitness and then go to another anytime fit ess to work out they will transfer your contract to that one and you will have to pay more and then when you transfer back to your original anytime fitness gym they will not honor the original rate even though they told me they will.
Hi Johnston, sorry to hear about this, each Anytime Fitness club is individually owned and when you transfer into another club an increase for fees is out of our control, if however you were promised a lower fee for transferring back into our club we will honour this, I will speak to my staff today and someone will call you. Otherwise come into the club today.

Negative experience: Place smells like mould Poor air quality Air con never on when hot or just can't keep up with the size of the gym. Just not up to the quality of other local Anytime gyms. Staff are understanding and friendly and pricing is reasonably good... but nothing changes the fact that the place is not getting looked after. At the moment you can't train or shower in this place without a biohazard suit...

B4 I went oversea I’ve told them I want to cancel my membership .as I don’t know how long I’m gonna stay there . Then they didn’t want me to cancel my membership . Keep telling me that I was on a good rate . don’t cancel this and that . We gonna put it on Hold . After six month you not come back we will cancel it . I was like . Yeah that’s ok . Sound good . As I went oversea and still have australia bank acc . Recently came back . The money got taken out from my acc .

Thanks for your review Manoj, but I am sorry to hear about some hot days in the gym, with the heat wave we have had, we have struggled to keep the gym cool at times, we are looking at more industrial fans to replace the ones we have already to cool down the place by another couple of degrees

Fantastic experience: An excellent gym with great quality equipment. Very well set out and the staff are very approachable and friendly. It is clean and well looked after by the great staff. Overall I had a great experience and I highly recommend this gym to anyone. Also it is a 24/7 gym which is just so ideal!

Fantastic experience: Have enjoyed coming to this gym. It’s a family friendly and parent friendly gym especially for mamas who are starting out. Been coming to this gym and taking our son since he was 6 months and never had a problem. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only left cause we’ve moved house and couldn’t bring our son anymore otherwise would recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Cool place to train, wide range of equipment and staff are amazing. Music is on point, rest rooms are clean! Highly recommend even if you’re doing normal training and not prepping for crossfit like me.

Fantastic experience: Roomy gym with plenty of easy to use equipment perfect for beginners. Everything is well kept and in good condition. Gym floor & toilets are always tidy, I see staff cleaning them throughout their shifts which is amazing. Overall a great gym, love training here!

We are one of the largest Anytime Fitness in the western suburbs and have built the gym with as much equipment we can fit into our space. Is there any equipment you would like to see specifically?

Hi there Owais - thanks for your review and for your opinion, it looks like you normally train at the Collingwood gym which is much larger than Sunshine as it is over two levels but we actually are the biggest Anytime Fitness around the western suburbs with more equipment and warehouse style ceilings

Positive experience: Though I'm not a member, I’m on the hunt for the right local gym for me. Any time I request a free pass online, to make it worth my while to go in to trial the gym, I end up with a barrage of calls and texts. Sorry, but I'm not a fan of harrassment. I've been hesitant to get in to try things because the somewhat ignorant pushiness. The other reviews suggest it's a good place to work out.
