Fantastic experience: Excellent Facilities and Great Instructors and Staff

Negative experience: Facilities are great and deserves atleast a 4 star. One star is for our experience with reception staff who are absolutely painful. Jenny, Denise, to name a few. They should reflect to be more polite, respectful, less judgemental and be less painful! They need to remember they are working at a ‘leisure’ center!!!

Negative experience: Andrew the so-called manager Needs to be more polite and respectful to members. And head office need to adhere to complaints. It's been 6 months and still no word. Andrew has not changed.

Negative experience: Absolute terrible place to train. There is not enough equipment, you are always waiting, sometimes up to 20 minutes. Weights are scattered all over the place. The gym manager is a real jerk. Thinks he owns the place and is very rude. Definitely a gym to miss.

Fantastic experience: One of the best pools around. So clean & tidy. Staff were helpful & friendly. Hydro pool was awesome for my rehab and lots of room in change rooms. I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Awesome centre with great progams. Special shout out toTeagan at the front desk. Teagan was very friendly and helpful while me and my partner came to sign up for a membership.

Fantastic experience: 2nd visit. Loved it both times. We mainly stayed in the 1m pool. Brilliant temp. Very quiet for midday Monday I love that they have a warm pool apart from the hydrotherapy and spa pool. Great staff. Friendly staff and friendly swimmers

Positive experience: This place opens so late and closes so eary on a weekend. The car parks a failure. The slides don't operate during the weekdays. So when my kids have a student free day. They still can't use the water slides. The gym is pretty good. But should have personal trainers up there who should help you if you not sure how to use the machine otherwise people can hurt themselves

Positive experience: Very clean pool.. just a shame they didn't have the outdoor pool open before 4pm on a day above 32 deg. The warm exercise pool was rather warm.. (But that is a good thing as the muscles need it warmer to be able to get the most out of the exercise ) maybe they could keep the consistency of this up during winter ? I would like it if the large indoor pool was a tad warmer, though. The lockers are the worst.. although I was told yesterday (12.02.23) they are getting new lockers in soon..

Fantastic experience: Travelling through Victoria such a surprise to find a facility like this in the country. Amazing! and quite easily the best centre our family has visited and we have travelled to many across vic, nsw and qld. Great kids play, splash pool, a warm play pool and then a really warm hydro pool. Not to mention the 25m and 50m lap pools. Slides were super fun. The price was very reasonable. Family of 5 entry less than $20 and with slides less than $30. Change rooms clean and spacious and lifeguards attentive and on deck at all pools. If you are in the Gippsland area definitely go here for some fun and to break up the road trip.

Negative experience: Drove 2 hours to find that big water slides don't run during the week or the small water park after 11.30 needs to be better information regarding this on the times open section

Negative experience: I wasn’t a fan of this gym. There wasn’t much equipment, especially cardio so you’d have to wait for a free machine. The pool/spa area was nice, the group classes were fun and the reception staff were nice but it was impossible to be able to have PT sessions. It took a while to be contacted back and positions were very limited for after work hours.

Positive experience: Not enough baby change rooms.

Positive experience: Friendly helpdesk/ reception. Clean, tidy fasilities. Café on-site but closes bit too early.

Positive experience: I have no complaints about the pools however it would be nice to have the baby change rooms and disability toilets separate.

Positive experience: Great pool, love all the different pools for different groups. the only problem I’ve found is they don’t control who should be in the therapy pool. Today was the second time I’ve had to leave because they let people( families who were there to play ) in who aren’t there to exercise. Men of the family got very angry and threatened to slap an elderly lady who told them it was for exercise only. Pool guards came but basically couldn’t do anything to stop them. I was quite scared and chose to leave rather than face the big group..

Fantastic experience: ❤️Great fasciitis, only thing I would say which needs to be considered is parking with shelter from the heat or rain especially for those with young kids. Family friendly place, lots of fun for the kids too, the change rooms are warm and suitable areas for family change rooms which helps with little ones.

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely great. Before the renovations, there was only a pool and a small kids play area, however now they have a water play area for children, a shallow pool for children and swimming lessons, two large water slides, 50m indoor pool, 25m outdoor pool, and an indoor heated/hydrotherapy pool. There is also a gym which I have not personally used but have seen many people using it. There is also a cafe with many healthy snacks and food offerings. The toilets and change rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly.

Fantastic experience: A very well organised and set out place and fun for all ages, we had ages from 2 years old and up and every one had so much fun. Very clean place also, highly recommend

Negative experience: Horrible customer service, didn’t appreciate the discrimination shown as of when I wanted to use the spa, due to me being under age? I’m 15, I have a job, I have a phone, I have a bank account yet I can’t even use the spa. Wasn’t so pleased with the fact that the staff ridiculed my father either.

Fantastic experience: Perfection. Variety of pools, sauna, spa. Something for everyone. If you want to use the large slides make sure you are there early as they close by 3.

Fantastic experience: Best in Victoria .. Spa is a let down but Steam Room and Sauna @ Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre is hands down the best in Victoria & The rubber floor in all pools is just excellent,, Nicely built facility good lifeguards who are on the ball

Fantastic experience: New and clean facilities, with large rooms, spa, 2 different types of sauna, 50-meter competition pools, heated pool inside and outside, different types of entertainment for children which are great!, the cafeteria is clean , orderly and very varied in products to eat. the coffee is good but can take a while to make, the staff are friendly and charming. fully recommended.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic place this is. A great place to keep the children occupied for hours. Two brilliant indoor water slides and a great water play area for the smaller humans. We are often able to spend a minimum of 3 hours here without the kids getting bored. Great snacks available, great amenities.

Negative experience: once again the YMCA is basterising the 50 meter pool and turning it into 2x25 meter pools plus the other 25 meter why even bother having a 50 meter pool if your going to keep turning it into 2x25 meter pools absolutely pathetic effort by the YMCA and Traralgon council for letting them do this. They use kids as Duty mangers so they only pay the minim wages required and absolutely don,t have a clue nothing against them but there kids with very little experience . The contract needs to be taken off the YMCA our seriously revised and the 50 meter pool left as a 50 meter pool for what it was built for and if you want a 25 meter pool use the heated one supplied for that reason. Senior Management at the YMCA needs to be reviewed and Decisions made if there experienced to run a Aquatic center as decisions they make are very poor.

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility and super lovely staff. My fav place to go.

Fantastic experience: My first visit. Went for exercise purposes as I had a minor injury at the time so couldn't do my preferred activities. It was great as they have multiple pools, most indoors so good for all weathers. They have one that's specifically for rehabilitation purposes so great for those who don't want to be bothered by constant lap swimmers or children splashing around. They have water slides too but a weight restriction of 120 kgs so I can't use them.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities. Three distinct indoor pool areas plus an outdoor pool. Gentle exercise area for seniors and rehab ( lifeguard enforced which is great ) so children must behave in this area.

Fantastic experience: What a great day out. Really fun space for adults and children. Everything was great. Fun waters slides. The kids fun station in the middle is good for children of all ages. The lockers locked us out twice and we need to take the girls out a very busy reception. They were super helpful and friendly but the lockers were not.... great place though.

Positive experience: Great place and suitable for all abilities with waterslides that operate until about 11am , lap pools, heated pool. Friendly staff. Need to be vacinated

Fantastic experience: Love the facilities here so much that my wife and I joined as members, membership comes with reciprocal access to the other Latrobe facilities and 10 entries to YMCA vic centres. Great aqua play area and heated indoors pool for children, spa/sauna/steam room area for ages 16+ only. Great classes available and good gym setup. Staff are always so nice, swimming here with the children has become a regular part of our routine.

Fantastic experience: Their swimming place is so good. Swimming teachers and lifeguards are nice and kind. My kid has swimming lesson every week but he loves to play at water playground every time

Fantastic experience: Very clean facilities, beautiful gym and lovely staff. Not too expensive or full when I was there with plently of stations to sanitise after an exercise. All the equipment is new and well cared. Overall a calming and safe environment with the ability to choose your own music, attend group sessions or do your own thing! Definitely recommend!

Positive experience: Went on a Monday to avoid lots of people, must have gone at the wrong time (10.30 to 12.30ish) because the water park area was only operating for about 20 minutes before it was shut off. Water slides not open till 4pm. Facilities are very clean and overall it was an enjoyable experience.

Positive experience: Great pool. If you want peace and quiet go after 6pm.

Fantastic experience: As a swimmer and water polo player in the past I've frolicked in some great pools and the GRAC is up there with the best. The 50m indoor is excellent but the hot pool caps off a workout. Can't wait to get back there.

Positive experience: One of the best aquatic centres in Gippsland. New facilities with several pools for all ages including water slides for the kids. A spacious upstairs gym also available with plenty of equipment that overlooks the pools below. Relax in the spa, sauna or steam room or have a dip in the warm water pool! The staff at the front desk are generally friendly and helpful although somewhat misinformed at times - I called to check if the sauna and steam room was open and was told "yes they are". After driving 40 minutes and entering the centre I was then informed that "sorry, no they're not operating today". Definitely a lot better than Warragul Leisure Centre (my local) with very reasonable prices and excellent facilities. Good to know: The sauna, steam room and spa turn off automatically after a set time so be sure to make sure the green power button is on before entering (the lifeguards don't always pick up on this).

Negative experience: Was looking for somewhere to take grandkids online it came up with the Traralgon Aquatic centre and said it was OPEN on the internet drove all the way in there and it was CLOSED. Rang the centre and spoke to the receptionist and told her it says its open on internet she said you should have gone on our website.
