Anytime Fitness Mascot

Positive experience: We came to Sydney for holidays and stayed in Mascot, we are anytime members and we use the Mascot club just nearby, the facility is nice, clean and well equipped. The only bad things but nothing relate to the club, we had a really bad experience with one of the member, he was using a machine without towel and after he finished he didn’t re rack the weight back (160 kg) I wanted to use that machine so I went to him,asked him to re rack the weights and he just replied “You can Do it “ i was shocked!!!! really SHAMELESS At the end he just re racked 80 kg ,and put them in another machine….that’s really meaningless…unfortunately at that time was unstaffed so we couldn’t complained!!

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Mascot is a warm and welcoming place where you can truly enjoy your workout sessions. The team, led by the dedicated Owners, clearly works hard to keep the gym spotless and the equipment in good working order. Their efforts do not go unnoticed, and the friendly atmosphere they’ve created makes training here a pleasure. That said, there are a few areas for improvement. The equipment, while functional, could benefit from updates over time. Introducing more modern machines would undoubtedly enhance the training experience and keep members even more motivated. Another area that could use attention is the conditioning in the restroom and bathroom zones. The heat can be quite overwhelming, and unfortunately, odors tend to linger longer than they should. Implementing a more effective ventilation system would make a world of difference and elevate the overall experience. And of course, no review would be complete without mentioning the gym’s own version of “Bony and Clyde.” These two are an inseparable duo, bringing a dash of charm and mischief to the space. Their presence adds character to the gym and never fails to put a smile on your face. Overall, Anytime Fitness Mascot is a place with heart and potential. With some updates to the equipment and improvements to the ventilation system, it could easily become the perfect fitness destination. Thank you to the team for their hard work and dedication — it truly shows!

Fantastic experience: I've been with the Anytime Fitness franchise for a while, but I recently moved to the Mascot location. Anytime Fitness Mascot has really impressed me! I just saw an IG post that reminded me to finally share my experience here, and I’m so glad to do so. The gym is spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you could need, thanks to the recent upgrades. One standout for me is that this is the ONLY gym I’ve ever been to that provides tampons for members in the bathrooms—it’s thoughtful touches like this that really show they care about their community. I haven’t interacted with the staff yet—that’s on me—but I’ve heard great things about them. What I do love is how engaged they are on social media—when I tagged them, they accepted the collaboration without hesitation. It’s the little things that make such a big difference. I couldn’t ask for a better gym experience! Ohhh yeah and the flags at the reception ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: I like Anytime Fitness, but the Mascot location is disappointing in terms of cleanliness. It’s clear that no one cleans regularly, there’s rarely any staff around, the bathrooms are very dirty with a strong odor, and the water fountain is always grimy. I wouldn’t recommend this gym. Even though it’s the closest to my house, I prefer going to another location that’s kept much cleaner.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, great staff, shout out to Ash and Beth!

Positive experience: The new addition of a chest supported T-bar row is great to have in this particular space.

Fantastic experience: The gym is near and tidy. Machines are all new and working efficiently not to mention the staff are absolutely phenomenal. Ash the club manager and Bethany are always super helpful, cheery, easy to talk to and they always ensure to provide a superior customer service for each and every member. The vibe at the gym is accommodates every member in the most positive way.

Positive experience: It doesn't have some basic machines like leg curl and calf raise and during peak hours it's really frustrating and hard to finish your workout. Doing mobility or any workout on the stretching area is a challenge every day since it's so small that it can fit basically 4 mats.

Positive experience: The equipment is good, but there's no airflow in this gym at all. The smell of their sanitary wipes gets trapped in the confined space and feels toxic and is way too strong. I stopped going there until it's fixed.

Fantastic experience: Hi Ash happy Wednesday! as promised writing this review before I leave for my Overseas Holidays... I have been attending Anytime Fitness for years now and the Gyms that I have attended over the years Mascot Gym is the best Gym, recently refurbished with all new Machines that one would need. This Gym is clean and very well looked after. Ash who manages the Gym is really good with the Patrons who uses this Gym on a daily basis. Ash alway acknowledges Patrons who comes in through the door by a nod when he is busy with Customers and when not with someone he always has a chat which is so respectful this shows that he cares about his Patrons. His Assistant Madeline is also very friendly. This Gym has a community feel and also the location is very handy. When there were not many benches and Gym goers gave feedback to Ash, he acted promptly and now there are more benches to use so Patrons don't have to wait for long time. Ash, please keep up the good work! so that the Patrons who attends the Gym religiously is happy and enjoys their workout. Thank you again for making Mascot Gym so welcoming! Negative experience: Absolute disappointment. It was a great gym through out the time but recent increase in gym membership fee is crazy, making it the most expensive gym in Mascot area. The one star review is mainly for the new gym manager who still act childish and has no problem solving skills. Shannon was one of the worst manager AFmascot has ever had but I would prefer Shannon over him. In the quite hours when gym needs to be reorganised in terms of putting the trash into bins and re-racking the weights especially from the floor, Ash looks more busy in making a social media content or talking with his buddies at the gym. I have seen members many times , they are helping themselves by removing/re-racking the weights on other’s behalf, only saw him once reorganising the gym. Before becoming a manager, many of my friends told me that he used to ask everyone to write a review for him, so he can get a job, Now you are a manager at least don’t disappoint those members or the gym owners.

Fantastic experience: Been a member with this gym for just over 7 months now and loved every visit. The equipment has all just been upgraded so it’s the good stuff! It always has a great atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming and helpful, especially Ash. He’s extremely friendly and never without a smile! 10/10 gym.

Negative experience: Very high membership fee. They have recently increased the prices which is terrible, moreover the management of this gym definitely seems not concerned about the maintenance and cleanliness in the gym especially when cleaning wipes are scattered every where in the gym and dumbles/plates are spread all around the gym which is clearly a hazard. Not sure what the owners are thinking but increasing unfair price with having such management who is not up to mark at all clearly a recipe of losing your loyal gym members, very disappointing. I would definitely not going to think second times to cancel my membership if this is what we gonna get after paying such a high membership fee

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to AF Mascot for almost 3 years now and i have to say it’s one of the best gyms i’ve ever been to! I really enjoy the new equipment and the renovation they recently did! The staff there are always so kind and you will be greeted with a big smile every time you go train. Thank you AF Mascot for making my training sessions enjoyable and making me feel welcomed and appreciated each and every time :) highly recommend this gym for all ages and fitness levels too!

Negative experience: Not a bad gym unless you go in peak time. In which case this is one of the worst anytimes I've been to in a while. The average gym user here has pretty lousy manners. Almost no towels to be seen, multiple people wearing thongs and slides, barely anyone cleans their equipment. Either come outside of peak times or just be prepared.

Negative experience: In the past aircon didn't work and took so long to fix it. Now, the fans have been unplugged and not working. Wonder why? Are we not allowed to use the fans since the aircon has been fixed while it's not that cold?

Negative experience: The lack of aircon makes the experience so bad (staff claim it’s working but take one step inside the gym and it’s like a sauna - the staff office is the only place that it works….). On top of that, half of the fans don’t work anymore. They’ve spent money on a whole renovation but can’t fix the aircon system… Unfortunately staff have shown no inclination to fix this issue. Happy to hear from the staff as to when they’re planning on fixing this.

Fantastic experience: AF Mascot is an excellent and newly-renvoated gym equipped with a wide variety of top-of-the-line equipment. Be sure to come in to meet two of the friendliest gym managers, Ash and Bekah.

Negative experience: Tried to bring 2 new prospective members and was turned away. Would not let us even pay for casual visits.

Positive experience: Good equipment but something needs to be done about the lack of air circulation. Feels like there’s no aircon.

Negative experience: I got email that I can take one friend with me for a month. I didn’t knew it was only valid for bexley branch, so I took my mate to Mascot branch. As soon as I entered, staf was so rude, he did not allow me to use the gym. He should explained me the policies but instead he kicked my mate out. This is not a kind of customer service that I expect from one of the most expensive gym. I would prefer to go to much cheaper and competitive gym for next time. The CS did not even ask if my guest wanted to be member and use the facility.

Positive experience: The equipment is quite reasonable post the renovation. Unfortunately the place is seriously over crowded. Also ventilation is a major problem. It feels like there is no air conditioning. A lot of the fans don’t work. The heat in the joint even late at night is oppressive. I’ve trained here a few times lately and simply left because I can’t get to the machines I need to get to. Aside from that, I just get jack of the disgusting temperature and over crowding. The bathrooms may as well be sauna rooms.

Negative experience: THE NOISE DISRUPTIONS FROM YOUR STUPID RENOVATIONS ARE SO NOT FRIENDLY TO RESIDENTS LIVING ABOVE. THIS WAS AT 8AM. SOME PEOPLE NEED A DECENT SLEEP IN YOU KNOW AFTER WORKING A NIGHT SHIFT.

Negative experience: Update: Back in Sydney and I've been advised by another member that the lovely female manager is gone. I travel around the country for my job and I deal with a lot of different gym staff, she was one of the better ones. ++++++++++ I dropped into this gym last week before a flight home and the female staff member there was lovely, I didn't have a hair band and she gave me one out of her bag, and chatted to me about my time in Sydney, it was a nice way to end my trip!

Fantastic experience: Great staff, very helpful, forgot my headphones so the manager leant me hers. Would recommend this gym anytime. 10/10 - best music out of all the clubs

Negative experience: This afternoon I went there to ask several questions, but one girl answered unclearly and rudely. I don't know how you can hire someone like that. I've been going to the gym here for a year, this is the first time I've seen people like her here.

I totally understand that but I just want the password for next time why can’t she provide me ? She should explain why she can not provide not just said wifi is not working. Negative experience: Terrible gym, small, old machines, stinks, no parking… well, nothing good at all.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to AF mascot from past 3 weeks I believe and it’s been a great transition so far from AF Haymarket. The gym is equipped with most necessary equipment required for a great workout. Also the people (and the club manager) working out are really nice, friendly and welcoming as well(at least in the 6-7:30 am slot ). The facility is always clean and the only minor issue I found was the gym music is a bit too low.

Positive experience: Nice place parking after 6pm on main street is free, gotta be early to get parking. I was there from 10pm and was ample parking.
