Positive experience: Good environment, Very friendly and instructors are very good. Though the music can be very loud at times, I can hear it through my headphones like If I wasn't wearing any. They really need to fix that.

Negative experience: DONT BE FOOLED BY THEIR FRIENDLY STAFF, THEY ARE PROBABLY SCAMMING YOU. JUST GO TO A GYM THATS STRAIGHTFORWARD AND WONT LIE TO YOU AND SCAM YOU TILL THEY CAN. THEY ABSOLUTELY RUINED MY MENTAL HEALTH IN 2 MONTHS. My journey with rival gym started very well with the staff being very nice, welcoming and easy. In fact, too easy. Their spokesperson Simon knew I was an International student when he got me to enroll in and guaranteed me the easiest process ever. I love the gym for as long as I went there but unfortunately I had to leave because of relocation and financial troubles. A few months before leaving I had signed a contract with the gym for 6months and I was worried that it would come haunting. So I went to the gym and personally spoke to Simon to figure out my situation. NOW this is where it starts. I came here prepared to pay my dues BUT Simon told me that it wouldn't be the case. HE CLAIMED that canceling would be a breeze but they would really want me to freeze my account instead to have me back. They didn't even charge me for the freezing, stating that "those things are just for the contract". LATER I got a mail about a freezing charge but when I mailed back I was told that it was just for paperwork and actually waved off. Since, everytime I tried to cancel they extended my freeze till one day I went back to the gym personally to make it happen. AGAIN, the gym happily took my cancelation and reassured me that there would be NO EXTRA CHARGES. AGAIN I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE CONVERSATIONS WITH THE STAFF AND ASKED IF I'D HAVE TO PAY ANY FEE'S AND HAVE BEEN TOLD NO. ASSURED OVER THE MONTHS THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. I got home and the very next day I got a mail saying that I would have to keep paying the gym fees. Apparently the crew cpuld have been mistaken but they were entitled to take money off of me as they wished. Everytime I called them, their receptionist would say that someone else is handling my case and tell me that Id get a callback which I never did. After a point they stopped responding to my emails and then today sent me a mail stating that the directors have decided that they have taken sufficient money from me and now will let me be. I just don't want this to happen to others because they do TARGET STUDENTS. I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO ATTACH SCREENSHOTS OF EMIAL EXCHANGES.

Positive experience: Facilities are nice and the muay thai is good. Just make sure you read the contract. Gyms good. Lots of useful stuff. Legit coaches. All im saying is read the contract before you sign the dotted line.

Negative experience: After blacktown UFC closed they moved my direct debit to this gym, after i received an email advising my direct debit was going to be cancelled hence cause the gym closed. After a couple weeks i noticed my direct debit was still coming out which i then reached out to Rival requesting them to stop and refund any direct debits which have been paid. They advised they weren't going to refund this as it was outside of the 4 week grace period. I have never had a contract with Rival gym, i have never intended to go to Rival gym castle hill and it wouldnt even make sense to move the service to castle hill when there is a UFC gym at Wetherill Park. I also had never signed a direct debit consent for Rival gym to debit my account. I can only assume this has happened to others coming from UFC gym blacktown closure and the sale of blacktowns direct debit book to castle hill is just a clear example of profiteering of the back of blacktown UFC closure.

Negative experience: The sales people at the desk are the real disappointment! I came to train with my friends that gave me a 5 day free trial voucher which was taken away from me in the first encounter with staff here. I only was coming here to enjoy myself surrounded with friends while doing my own training as I am a pro athlete and I know the ways of how these facilities work. So anyway I was greeted in the beginning by one of the trainers that lead me to the desk of this gym and immediately they have taken my voucher upon showing them and claimed it was to put my details in but that’s not how this works. So fast forward abit, I trained with my friends and it gotten to the end of our session, I went back to the desk to see what was up with my voucher, so the male at the desk told me to take a seat at one of the tables. then proceeded to show me the gym membership deals, and that’s when I thought they are trying to force me into something I didn’t plan on doing because of my 5 day free trial voucher. Everyone was alittle too friendly in the start then that quickly changed as they wanted me to sign their contact deal. They wanted to get all my financial details that I did not have on me as I only pay cash every were I go and they where completely unprofessional as I told them I can pay you here by cash now when he said no show me how much money I have in my wallet.? So I showed him and I asked it’s okay I’m not desperate to join here but what’s the minimum amount to deposit in joining. And he told me it was upwards of 1000$! Then I said no I don’t carry that much cash on me and I told them how come other gyms allow cash and not this one? Then he said “I guarantee you those gyms don’t exist anymore with that method”. That is completely false the most successful gyms in Sydney have this payment method. Regardless of my membership outcome I still remember the most important thing in the interaction and that was they where only acting nice at the start when they see $$$ then ,when they couldn’t force me in financial entrapment they were unprofessional not even shaking my hand, at the end I had to initiate that because it was getting very uncomfortable. Such a shame for gyms like this that it has come down to only the money and not the clients. This gym has left a more harsh opinion in my eyes of what our society has become. because of these people. I will not come here again and i will tell all my other friends about my experience here and will not recommend they come here. “1 star.”

Positive experience: An amazing well rounded gym. It is an mma gym but it has decent equipment if you don’t want to do martial arts. The classes are amazing and a good workout. Also the classes are good for youngsters as this gym offers boxing, kickboxing and jiu Jitsu classes. Generally most martial arts gyms are daunting. The best way to describe this gym is a place with decent equipment if you don’t want to do martial arts classes or their other workout classes which remind me of f45. It is very family friendly. The staff are very friendly are welcoming and you get to make friends in class. The membership prices are very reasonable for the amenities and service provided.

There are a lot of group sessions on cardio , boxing , and a few material arts both for beginners and for skilled. Friendly staff and trainers make it much more fun. Definitely recommend people in and around the Castle Hill area to check out this UFC gym if you want yo stay fit.

Negative experience: Sorry, but UFC Gym, especially Castle Hill, is not considering members' circumstances if they do change. Despite of many requests to cancel membership, UFC Gym still continues charging fees until the 12-month contract finishes. There is no way out! We moved to another place and there is no chance of us going to UFC Gym Castle Hill or any other branches. The management did not consider our request and kept on charging us fees despite of respectfull requests to cancel membership. Sorry, but I cannot recommend UFC Gym for that matter. To all my friends out there, please be careful signing contracts with UFC Gym. Think twice before you get that pen!

Negative experience: Well the rating is not to reflect facilities. Just to reflect the fact that these guys treat kids and adults same. Please don't fall into a ad and trial class and sign up as I did. It's zero flexibility is all I can say. If u are a parent trying to get your kid to try different things before they like something this is the worst bait ! Please read the contract before u sign. I had a 5 year old in trial class. I liked what I saw. I signed on the dotted line distracted while trying to look after her and lost 2000 $ since my situation changes and there was NO way out. I am not saying it's a bad place but it is something that will bite you until you are sure. Not your regular kids trial class.

Negative experience: Place is absolutely harsh to newcomers. Manager (Cesar) is manipulative and forceful on fees and purchases (which are all loopholes and lies). Classes get cancelled frequently and coaches quit all the times Just go to a more single discipline focused gym where it is much more affordable and reliable.

He sat with me, chatted, explained everything transparently and exactly what the cost would be. You couldn't ask for a better guy to do business with. The facility itself is absolutely top notch with some really amazing equipment and they offer classes for any kind of training you'd need. As a beginner to martial arts I found the vibe of the gym welcoming and warm which doesn't happen in all fighting gyms, it strikes me as more of a Dojo approach. Overall, I'd highly recommend this gym if you're looking for somewhere fantastic to train and I've been in a lot of gyms

Negative experience: Worst experience ever with Cesar and this gym.He is very unprofessional and does trick you into signing up without explaining to you the hidden cost.We thought we were only signing up for a year.And we had told Cesar that When signing up.We only went 4 or 5 times in the year. We tried to cancel it a few times and was ripped off with payments still taken out after not using this place for 3 years.Cesar never explained about how the contract works or the extra costs involve when signing us up.He was extremely rude .I would never recommend this place.They will overcharge you at all cost.We had to pay a lot of money back and we were not using the gym before we could cancel it.Reading all the other reviews seems like I’m not the only one who has experienced this.

Negative experience: Worst service ever!! Watch out in how this guy Cesar does his contracts, he tells you lies, in how good their services are and doesn’t deliver what he promised in the initial contact to his clients. My son had to learned this the hard way. Stay away from this gym, the place is so cramped up with bags laying around, people can’t even walk because those bags on the floor. Simply a safety hazard waiting to happen. On top of that these guys are so sleazy as they can’t wait to hit on every girl that walks by their doors, just discussing in how they disrespect women at their gym with their looks and nasty comments.

Negative experience: Had a one session free trial months ago, and am now being called everyday, even TWICE a day, by the Sales team. Never known a gym to be so blatantly intrusive.

Negative experience: Customer Service is the worst when you cancel the membership in cooling off. When onboarding sales people are so quick and when you've had change of mind, these people will not have a courtesy to call back! On top of it they do not refund joining fee saying it is administration costs!! Really unhappy with their service.

Negative experience: The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Beware of the contract's traps. BE VERY CAREFUL before signing the contract, as you sign it off, you are in a trap that is very difficult to get rid of it. Even if you have some legitimate reasons, they charge you as much as possible.

Fantastic experience: This is a well equipped GYM, with friendly staff and environment. I have been training here since opened and enjoy training here even more now. The management are very professional and attend to your request like a mate. If you are looking for a friendly martial-art GYM this is the best in the Hills area.

Negative experience: Good facilities and bjj/wrestling classes. Striking classes are a good workout but very technically basic. Also no sparring, which is bizarre for a place that touts themselves as an mma gym. Good value but my experience was marred by disingenuous staff and business practices. An example, for months the towel policy was not enforced. One day, they decided to enforce it at the door. Also happened to be the day they started renting towels for exorbitant prices. Also wasn’t clear that the towels were for rent - made it out to sound like you were buying it. Another example was when a staff member lied straight to my face about not being able to do something, stating that they were legally unable to do so but “really wish I could”. I happen to be a lawyer and mentioned that their legal interpretation was wrong. That staff member then stated that she knew that all along but just refuses. Also immediately dropped the feigned empathy. So a liar and unhelpful. Awesome. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to train and get better. All of the staffs are great. However, i would like to give a shout out to Cynthia for being a gem, and having me here. And had a chance to try a DUI session with Coach Sherwin which was amazing. Overall a great place to be. I would recommend this place to anyone who is willing to get fit and be better all around.

Fantastic experience: This is the first gym that I've ever really invested time into going to. It's easy to jump into training consistently here because everybody there is just really cool. The gym has some very fun stuff too. The weight equipment is excellent. If you're into kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, etc., then there's a sizeable matted area & heaps of heavy bags. At the back, they have an open area for their DUT space, and it's super beneficial for anybody who needs that free space for their workout; I'm a big fan of using the sled down there :)

Fantastic experience: Have been going to UFC for almost 2 years now. I absolutely love this place! The community is like no other, and it's so easy to meet new people in the classes and push yourself. The reception team are beyond welcoming (in particular, Ziba and her continual warm welcomes). The talented coaches are always happy to help you out and are always changing up the classes to provide a good challenge. I highly recommend if you are looking for a gym that provides you the ability to train alone (great variety of machines, squat racks, weights), or attend a variety of classes - whilst at a decent price (very competitive pricing compared to other gyms in the Hills), give UFC a go! You won't regret it!!

Fantastic experience: I just recently joined and I've been going to the classes and they are awesome. I'm a full time uni student working part time as well so I have alot of commitments. But the reception ladies, shout out, Serena and Gabby, made comprises on the clubs behalf to be more flexible, they are awesome. The gym is clean, the classes are even better. And Ceasar the manager is super welcoming and an all round great bloke. My first class was with Mikey and im keen to be in more of his classes! Super keen to keep on at it, highly recommend this to everyone, if you can join do so!

Positive experience: All around decent, but not excellent. Decent staff, decent equipment and decent classes. Poor maintenance around the place and the bathrooms are always dirty and unclean

Negative experience: Use to be a member here, but ended up cancelling as couldn’t afford it. Thought the cancellation process was unprofessional and just palmed off when i came in person. My brother signed up again, went in and cancelled as he couldn’t find time to come with work. Few weeks later, their taking money out of the account and say he hadn’t cancelled when he did . I Think it is ridiculous that they don’t give copies of the cancellation form or at least an email to confirm it’s cancelled, and if you went in and did cancel that it’s a half arsed job by staff.

Negative experience: Don’t bother joining this gym. They are scammers, specifically their manager, Caesar. He will tell you to join for a free month, and make you sign the contract that says you can trial for 7 days before you get charged! This gym will see the tribunal soon.

Positive experience: Good gym, quite pricey, kick boxing classes are awesome. This place specializes more in classes than actual gym equipment so if you are keen in trying something new this place is good for you. It was my first time doing kick boxing and I loved it with coach Fawaz.
