Fantastic experience: I recommend this gym 100%, they are soo understanding of the situation and helped me resolve it. And their facilities are amazing. Staff are friendly, and able to talk to. Sauna included in the membership, what other gym does that !!

Negative experience: I have been a member here for several years and over this time the standards have dropped significantly whilst prices have risen. The managers change more often than the traffic lights on Joondalup Drive, always a bad sign, no continuity = poor standards. Why do they all leave? All that they are interested in is signing up new members, not existing members. The male changing rooms are very dirty and a health hazard. The wi-fi is non existent with poor signal. I was working out recently when i was harassed to sign up for Personal training sessions by la heavily tattooed gym member who turned out to be a personal trainer, called Cam. No thanks. He was not even wearing Good Life uniform so I did not believe his story at first until I checked this out on their website and sure enough he is a PT. If I want a PT I would make enquiries, don't harass people using the gym. My weekly fees are now $25 and I discovered I could get better facilities at Revo down the road for $10 a week. I have since took my business elsewhere and got a great vibe and don't get harassed by PT's. In person and also by SMS. The worst thing is they send you regular emails to give feedback, sent from the mysterious, ever changing 'club manager'. You complete the survey, give constructive feedback and never here from them, ever. Avoid. Plenty of better gyms out there that care about their members.

Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS GYM. Incredibly rude and unprofessional staff. I have a medical condition and they put me through hell trying to cancel my membership as I am ill. They gave me the wrong email address (it bounced 6 times) to send GP referral stating that I could not exercise for 1 year. They stated “They’re was nothing they could do about it/manager is off for the next four days etc”, Multiple phone calls made by myself to try and rectify the situation AND THEY ARE STILL CHARGING ME MONEY and I’m ill. Fantastic experience: Every morning, I go to Goodlife Joondalup where a front desk staff member provides a warm smile in welcoming me to the gym. I feel valued and set a positive tone for the entire session. On every session I witness a positive and supportive environment that direct you to be motivated and get most of the workout. Everyone contributes to offering an encouragement with a supportive growing mindset as a community. Negative experience: Poor customer service, lock in contract is a scam, they put pay extra $$ for equipment maintenance? Couple hidden fees when you sign up and throughout the contract.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife Joondalup has been my go to for many years and it is friendly with always someone with a smile greeting you and gifting you a good day befor you leave. Positive experience: Nice gym layout, equipment and cleanliness although disappointed with the personal training and customer service. Trying to cancel my gym membership due to moving houses has been a hassle with reception organising payment on a certain date. Rude and unhelpful attitude received over the phone this morning when I tried holding them accountable for their actions. Unfortunately wouldn’t recommend as I won’t be joining a Goodlife gym again.

Negative experience: Very poor service. Locked me into a contract I didn't know about. I used it 4 times in a year due to not getting the training plan I was promised and numerous calls about it never helped get the plan. Easy money for them at 16.79 a week. Don't let gyms lock you into contracts. Be very careful. I would not recommend Goodlife gyms.

Negative experience: Have never previously had any issues with this gym, although today, I drove 40mins to get here today to be told “we’ve cracked down on our no towel no train policy” the lady at reception came across so rude. I just came from work and was in a rush, I even explained that I was only there to go on the tredmill & that I would spray after. If you cared about your clients, at least send an email out advising people that you’ve “cracked down” on the towel policy to avoid people being disappointed & driving back home.

Fantastic experience: Honestly love this gym. The 19 months I've been have been one of the best experiences I've had in a gym. It's a large, spacious facility with high ceilings, decent range of equipment. But what really earns the 5 stars is the people. The community here is second to none, everyday I get to surround myself with the absolute best people. Friendly, welcoming, and hard-working. Absolute legends, each and everyone of them.

Fantastic experience: Goodlife in Joondalup has been the best gym I have been too. The facilities including sauna are great quality and well maintained. The 2 biggest things I have noticed and love about this gym 1. The hygiene within the gym is outstanding by far the best I have experienced in a gym. Not only the staff but all of the clients there treat every piece of equipment with great respect and follow hygiene policie. 2. The staff especially Zach are great to deal with but most of all very welcoming, Helpful and informative. They don’t hesitate to check in on clients and make sure they’re enjoying their time at the gym. Thank you Goodlife Joondalup for supplying the surrounding suburbs with a fantastic gym.

Negative experience: Don’t go to fitcollege, I repeat don’t go to fitcollege, one of the WORST experiences I’ve ever had getting my qualifications, they say 14 weeks and u will graduate, that is false, know one graduated on time because the assessor Kyle won’t put effort to do his job and only marks students he likes and the others he doesn’t he marks unfairly. U can’t ask questions in the class because he will reply with “what do you think the answer is?” So he doesn’t help at all. 1 person will say 2x2 is 4 and the other will say the same and he will mark one correct and one wrong, Kyle and Tuesday and Wednesday teachers know nothing about fitness and don’t put effort to teach u anything. Thursday is the only day where you have a teacher that knows what he is doing. And this is my honest experience :)

Positive experience: Yuriko, great trainer. Decent amount of machines, but the aircon upstairs struggles on a 30 degree or higher day. Hot as hell upstairs, very uncomfortable. GoodLife, please fix this matter.

Negative experience: Went in and canceled due to moving got told was all done nothing more I had to do. Month and a half later payments still were coming out had to get my brother to ring up as no long in the country and they said they have no record of it and would have to start the cancelation from that date and would be another 30 days

Fantastic experience: Love the butler Goodlife gym. Can’t fault it. The team at reform Pilates are amazing and always further challenging making it very personalised. Negative experience: Scam of a gym. Canceled my membership at the start of the year and they didn’t even process the cancellation just been Charing me for 9 months. And won’t refund me cause there’s nothing in writing but also won’t check cameras to see when I handed my card in to cancel. Plus not the first time this is happened by this gym. Negative experience: Terrible experience with staff not calling back on matters to do with payment, staff incompetent in handling any problem other than gym equipment, took since April 2022 to get a answer on a billing issue and was accused of not paying a installment, when I called to get my account on hold they didn't put my account on hold causing me to get charged for overdue fees and was ment to call back about my account. I highly recommend anyone reading this to go to another gym without a lock in contract.

Negative experience: Shockingly Poor Customer Service and Disrespectful Attitude: I had a rather disappointing experience with the staff of Goodlife Joondalup. Recently, I faced a family emergency during an overseas trip. Due to the emergency, I was unable to access messages while abroad, which unfortunately led to delays in transferring the necessary funds for my gym subscription payments. This situation resulted in the accumulation of charges as per the gym’s policy. Upon my return, I was relieved to receive a message from the gym, offering to waive half of the accumulated charges valid for limited time. However, I encountered technical difficulties with the link provided, which made the process frustrating. To add to my frustration, $20 fee was debited from my account. My attempts to address the issue through phone calls with their customer service representatives were met with two instances of disrespectful and impolite behavior. The initial representative I spoke to was exceptionally rude and unhelpful, while the account manager displayed a cold and offensive demeanor, offering no viable solutions and implying that financial difficulties should prevent one from being a gym member. Even when I shared details about the offer message I had received from the gym, the account manager named “Alex “dismissed it, stating that there was no record of such an offer on my account and instructing me brusquely to contact “debit successes.”He focused all his energy on highlighting my lack of commitment and attempting to disprove the authenticity of the message, asserting that it originated from "debit success" and he lacked the authority to take any action. Throughout the call, instead of providing assistance, he continuously ridiculed and criticized me. Amidst this frustrating experience, I did reach out to “debit successes,” who demonstrated understanding and helpfulness. They acknowledged the malfunctioning link and assured me that they would communicate with the gym . Making me confident that the gym holds the power to furnish me with the updated message, and they are awaiting written confirmation for it. The experience was further compounded when I tried to address the matter through another call to Gym’s customer service. The response I received was dismissive, with the representative citing a high volume of emails and displaying an extremely discourteous attitude. In my pursuit of a resolution, I reached out again to both the gym a about two days later. Despite my repeated attempts, I was met with indifference. The response was that "all managers are busy" and that I would receive a callback, which never occurred. After a week of numerous calls and a significant amount of time spent enduring ridicule and being put on hold. I visited the gym and payed everything, but, I am deeply disappointed by the manner in which the staff handles its customer interactions. The inconsistency in their treatment of customers—warm and accommodating when acquiring memberships, and dismissive and unsympathetic when addressing issues—is extremely disheartening. I hope that the company takes this feedback seriously and undertakes significant changes to rectify their glaring customer service shortcomings. While the gym’s policies regarding late payments are understandable, the manner in which this situation was handled left me feeling undervalued and disrespected as a customer. I hope that my feedback encourages the Gym to review its customer service practices!

Positive experience: Gym is okay has a lot of equipment- the thing that I hate is the sauna is never hot enough, the temperature is always below the correct temperature it should be. and the staff just don’t care about it. Other good life gyms have the Saunas at the correct temperature but not Joondalup it’s very annoying.

Negative experience: The people services could not be more poor. The PTs are pushy and don't respect your polite refusal and openess with the cost of a PT being too high for you. Viola was particularly bad. If you have any issues or membership problems the gym could not be less understanding. The equipment is decent and well layed out.

Fantastic experience: Only started a couple of weeks ago and I Can’t fault anything for now. Large spaces and new machines. Classes and PTs available. Sauna for males and sauna for females. 24hours and only busy at peak times. A couple of machines have been “out of order” since I started and I hope they gonna fix it soon.

Negative experience: ###Beware### I tried to cancel my membership on a number of occasions but they still sent my account to a debt collector! Be very aware of the under handed tactics. This gym is the lowest of the low. I would have given NO stars if possible. Needless to say I will never return!

Negative experience: I was unable to continue going to the gym for personal reasons, so I cancelled my membership, to only find out later that they continue to charge you for a further month. So from the date you cancel, you've already paid for a month, and then you are forced to pay for an other month, that's 2 months of membership from when I cancelled that I can't use

Negative experience: I have never seen such a dishonest organisation in my life. In April 2021 I was talked into suspending my account with “no attached costs”, I wanted to cancel in April. The girl in which we were speaking to stated that the account would not resume unless I said otherwise and if I wanted to cancel after the suspension period there would also be no cost. However, after looking at my bank account, not only was I being charged during the suspension period, it had automatically resumed! I was paying for a service that I was no longer using. Furthermore, I had to literally fight to get my money back (not all has been recovered) just to be told I still have to pay 2x $40 payments to cancel my account. We are considering taking legal action against Goodlife for misleading customers and unfair contract terms that disadvantage one party for terminating a contract in accordance with the ACCC guidelines. Disgraceful.

Positive experience: Having read some of the reviews left by others, I have to admit that my experience at Joondalup has been very positive. Good equipment, well maintained and clean. Some of the reviewers mentioned problems with cancellations of membership and penalties imposed for cancellations. I would think that this practice would have to be treated as fraud, even if it is included in the contract. If I were to die, would Goodlife bill my estate for the cancellation fee? This practice is a bit like superannuation companies charging deceased clients fees and charging advice fees when no advice is given. Apart from the above which i have not experienced personally, the experience has been fantastic.

Negative experience: Had a free trail and you keep calling me. It's been 3 weeks, please leave me alone. I've told you 4 times now that I don't want to join. I keep getting messages telling me about specials... I press stop to unsubscribe and you STILL message me from a different number. Get your act together and please stop borderline harrassing me and my boyfriend.

Negative experience: Insane. I emailed them from the website to cancel my membership. Took my details, even my address and cancelled it. I have email proof. Then they kept taking money but instead of what they used to take, it’s doubled and add another $10. So I replied to the email asking why they’re still taking money and they said they’re located in Canada? I feel like they’ve linked the Australian website with Canada to put people on the run around to take a few more weeks.

Negative experience: Paid full cancellation fees about three month ago but charged me $9 twice in the last a couple month and $18.xx today. Does goodlife have access to non-members' bank account? Seems like the staff paused the membership instead of cancelling when the cancellation fee was fully paid. :(

Negative experience: Honestly worst gym ever when it comes to communication and resolving issues. The staff is unprofessional and do not keep to their word. Called on thursday afternoon only to have someone at reception tell me the customer service manager will be free in the next 20 minutes, I call back an hour later when no one called me only to get the same excuse. I call again on friday and its the same excuse over again. I did get a call today but issue is still unresolved - Now i dont care about my issue getting fixed or not but defs not recommending this branch to anyone else

Positive experience: Good quality gym equipments, great group classes but they need to add more on timetable. Make sure to read contract before signing up. Its so hard to cancel Goodlife membership and it seems like they always make you pay extra fees so if you can, join on weeks where they have specials!

Positive experience: Decent equipment and plenty of space. Downgraded cause the sauna is only available during staffed hours that don't suit a lot of people who go there for that reason.

Negative experience: Having been at the gym for more than a year the gym facilities themselves were good. However when cancelling my membership is was a pain with GoodLife. You have to pay for membership for an additional month after cancelling. In addition you have to wait for the team to call you back after already calling them to cancel your membership. If you are unable to answer during office hours when they call, your membership would not be cancelled. These are all important points I would recommend people to keep in mind if they choose to join this gym as they deliberately include these tactics to take more money from you when you don't use the facilities.

Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if I could. Absolutely terrible customer service, wrongly charging me fees and ignoring my emails to get it refunded. Not replying to me and when I finally call through the people there are unable to help with my situation. Spoke to the customer service lady who was incredibly rude and had a terrible attitude. I cannot comprehend how unprofessional she was towards me. Do not join here.

Positive experience: Goodlife facilities are clean and well maintained. Minor issues with some of the equipment and timetable. Not a big fan of the new timetable app either, however I'm sure I'll get used to it. Overall, Goodlife is worth my money.
