Fitness Cartel Health Clubs Nundah - 24/7 Gym

Negative experience: The initial sign up process and tour of the gym was fine, but over the course of both mine and my partners active membership (18 ish months) - - several machines broke down and it took management often upwards of several weeks to fix each time. - one of the two water machines in the entire gym broke and was out of action for minimum 2+ months, with no update on when they would be fixed. - the sauna was never clean, and often had a continuous mould build up between the wooden seating panels. Both my partner and I flagged this with management through multiple communication platforms including talking to reception staff, emailing and also sending an Instagram message and received no reply or attempt to rectify the cleanliness issue. - when we wanted to cancel our membership (as we had found another gym) the cancellation process was convoluted and not simple or straightforward at all (even though we were well and truely out of our 12 month lock in period and would be able to cancel with 30 days notice at any time). My partner called reception and asked to be walked through the cancelation process, and then 3-4 days later we finally received an email from a staff member with a copy of the exit form. After we completed the form, we expected to hear back from someone to confirm the cancelation request had been received and when our final direct debit payment would come out, instead we had to repeatedly follow up with Fitness Cartel to get them to confirm that the form had been received and to make sure that the 30 day exit period would be backdated to the exact date when we contacted them to confirm we wanted to cancel. Such a time wasting and frustrating experience.

Negative experience: Gym facilities are good, but my partner's experience trying to cancel her membership left a lot to be desired. In this day and age, cancelling a weekly membership should be a simple, almost completely automated process rather than endless shuffling between staff members and fairly aggressive retention pitches. I know it's not unique to this one gym, but it's annoying nonetheless.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. False contracts and can't provide signed contracts when request because they don't exist.

Negative experience: Buyer Beware: Outrageous Contracts with Fine Print - Lengthy Contracts: Locked into 15-month agreements. - High Late Fees: Significant penalties for missed payments. - Payment Consequences: Missed payments lead to "suspension," extending your contract duration. - Cancellation Hassles: When requesting to cancel, expect slow responses, a 4-week notice requirement, additional payout, and weekly payments during that notice period. - Extended Commitment: Even after the contract ends, you must still provide a 4-week notice, effectively making it a 16-month obligation. - Transfer Complications: Transferring the contract resets it to a new 15-month term for the next person, making it unattractive for potential takers. and this is only what i've come across in my experience, i'm sure theres more fine print. Additionally, the managers and team seem reluctant to help with cancellations, responding with brief, unhelpful emails that only offer the bare minimum of information. You really have to dig for answers. They may lure you in with low starter rates, but you'll end up locked into a longer commitment. There are definitely better contract options available. Plus, they promised a rooftop gym 15 months ago, and it’s only just opening now—such a waste of time.

Positive experience: Pretty gym, relatively good range of equipment. Takes forever to fix things, like the water dispenser that is still not working months after breaking, now there's only 1 ☹️

Negative experience: TWO LAT PULL DOWNS OUT OF ORDER, surely your company has enough money to fix these in a timely fashion. But no. I'm sure this is managements fault and not the staff, but you know what I don't want at a gym in the morning, peppy unavoidable greetings. Like smile and nod at me and leave me alone. I don't want to have to pretend to be happy and social every time I pass the front desk. Wish I could use the 24 hour door at anytime just to avoid that interaction.

Negative experience: How long does it take to get the water cooler fixed!! Been out of action for about five weeks now!

Negative experience: I met a group of FC staff in the carpark of my gym. They proceeded to carry on like juveniles accosting other members to try and convince them to quit where we are and go to their gym. It felt like a desperate and cringey thing to do not to mention the obvious lack of integrity on their part. Even if I was unhappy where I was, that alone would have put me off walking into their gym.

Negative experience: I would definitely NOT recommend the creche facilities here. I have made a formal complaint to the manager of the gym multiple times without a response. My 8 month old was left unattended and eating crisps out of another child lunch box. He was also eating food off the floor. There were also choking hazard toys left out on the floor. When this was brought to the two carers attention they stated they were unable to watch him as they were busy with other babies. The staff were untrained and Inexperienced and unable to look after more than one baby at a time. The lack of manager response is just as disappointing. I would not leave my child in these people’s care.

Fantastic experience: Massive shoutout to Maddie on the reception desk. She was super helpful and her protein shake making skills are phenomenal. She is always a friendly face to see when I walk in and a wonderful person to just have a chat with. Overall amazing gym with lovely staff and lots of machines.

Negative experience: I would give no stars if I could. I do not recommend this gym - they are unhelpful and unethical in their dealings if you are trying to cancel or transfer a membership. I transferred my membership but still had to provide 30 days notice, so there are two people paying for the one membership. My dealings with the customer service manager has been very poor and she has not been helpful. She was slow and unclear in her responses. I would not recommend this gym at all.

Negative experience: ⚠️⚠️Strongly recommended that you do not use this gym. ⚠️⚠️ I was made to sign a one-year contract without prior explanation and paid about $350 when I cancelled my membership. Furthermore, they continue to deduct membership fees from my bank account even after I cancelled my membership. I have repeatedly contacted them by email but have never received a reply. This is completely illegal. I demand an immediate response.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at FC Nundah for about 6 months now and it’s been a great experience so far. Equipment: Plenty of new and well maintained equipment. Lots of options and multiples of popular equipment means that even at busy times, you can always fit in what you need to do. Change Rooms: Well maintained, modern change room/locker facilities. Atmosphere: Friendly gym atmosphere welcoming to seasoned gym goers and newbies alike. Friendly staff and trainers too. Classes: A good variety of classes included in the basic membership and if you’re into reformer Pilates, you can add that on too. Boxing, bikes, yoga, hiit and on the floor cardio equipment has you covered.

Negative experience: Have reached out twice in the last two weeks to cancel my membership due to relocation and false advertisement (main reason I left previous gym was due to the size of this one, advertising 2 levels), however not once has the 2nd level been available since I’ve been there. They haven’t responded to me once. Still being charged weekly. Pathetic customer service and quite disappointing, as it is a nice gym. They have just made getting out of my contract a nightmare. Something to consider before signing up.

The equipment is brand new, the facilities are clean and modern!! And the staff, particularly Decoda and Courtney are so warm and friendly at the front counter. There are a lot of gyms in Nundah, but this one is by far my favourite!! ✨

Negative experience: I've been needlessly harassed no matter how many times I've asked them to leave me alone. I came in as a guest of a member for 1 session and filled out a guest form. At the time I told the person on desk (Tyrell I think) that I work at a gym and have no interest in joining, just wanted to check it out. I asked not to be contacted and was assured I wouldn't be. I have since been contacted repeatedly and every single time I have said in no unclear terms "I have zero interest in joining and do not wish to be contacted." I've said this in person, to 3 different people on the phone, sent it in an email and text messages. I've had to block the numbers and emails because I'm still receiving campaign messages with no option to unsubscribe. Very poor form guys, please go away.
