Fantastic experience: Been here for close to a month now. The gym has everything you need. You really couldn't ask for more. The trainer is very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Washrooms are well maintained, there are additional accessories post workout for use. Wonderful experience so far.

Negative experience: Be Aware Before Joining This Gym I wanted to share my experience to help others avoid potential issues when joining this gym. The gym equipment and environment are great, and everything seems perfect when you sign up. The staff is friendly and welcoming. However, canceling your membership, even after the lock-in contract, can be a hassle due to unexpected hidden fees and rising charges. My one-year lock-in contract ended, and I requested cancellation immediately. Unfortunately, I was told I had to remain for an additional 30 days, during which the fees increased from $21 to $25 per week. I paid for the extra month and waited for the cancellation process to complete. To my surprise, an additional $46 was charged to my last bill as part of a "half of contract balance." After this, the issue was transferred to a third-party collection agency, eCollect. I was informed that I could no longer contact the gym directly about the matter and had to deal with the agency. They also warned that if I didn’t pay, they would escalate to court, and I would be responsible for the filing fees as well. While I can pay the amount, I felt it was important to leave this review so others can make an informed decision. If you’re planning to join this gym, be aware that fees can increase as soon as your lock-in contract ends, and ask about cancellation policies and potential hidden fees upfront. Stay cautious and informed!

Negative experience: Worst smelling anytime fitness, like damp mould

Negative experience: Can you please ask every gym member to put on enclosed shoes. No one is trying to see them nasty ahh toes. Dropped my dumbbell on my toe after seeing a pair so disgusting that I couldn't eat properly for a week. Atleast put up a sign. To sum everything up, I don't have an issue with the gym and your services. It's you members I have an issue with.

Negative experience: Rude staff asked, in an annoying tone, if I had put the bench there. Shouting members asked, "What are you wearing?" I will never go to this branch again. December 3, morning.

Negative experience: Good location but seems most of the members here r too weak to put the weights back… and the music is too loud but can’t adjust the volume. Also the toilets r so dirty… most of the equipments r either too old or dirty and with massive weights the last person lift. Some of them even remain broken since I came here… just moved here for two weeks but only like the location of this branch But ye aldy thinking to sign up for another gym not paying to ‘clean’ here

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness South Parramatta is a great gym! It’s always clean, has all the equipment you need, and is never too busy. The staff are friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome from the start. I love the 24/7 access, which makes it super convenient for my schedule. Overall, it’s a great place to work out and stay motivated

Negative experience: Worst anytime Fitness branch in Sydney, the hot water runs out after 10 minutes of showering, no soap, toilets never gets cleaned. the weights are everywhere plus 3 machines have been broken for more than 2 weeks and haven’t been verified, no only two showers have hot water in the whole gym, don’t waste your time and money.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time in this branch or in granville. Please check your contract carefully, this gym managers are scammer. Promise me for FOB key amount is refundable, when I tried to cancle my membership they triad an offensive language and refuse to pay me. Also, these are resist people. Be Aware don't go to this gym. You are paying for service not for charity.

Negative experience: Worst customer experience ever with the male that works there, I think Joseph. They charged me when I wanted to put my membership on hold. And then Charged me again when I wanted to cancel my membership.

Negative experience: I had the worst customer care experience at Anytime Fitness Parramatta yesterday. So my previous gym is closing down and Anytime Fitness Parramatta is the next close by gym so had no option but to enrol. Also a few of my mates work for AF at other branches and they had recommended it to me. I reached to door, there were 2 staff sitting in the admin room, while the female staff was on the computer the male staff sat there browsing instagram on his phone, whilst I stood outside knocking and waving to let me in for 5 mins. They were too occupied to notice me. There was no door bell or any other means to grab the staff’s attention who seemed occupied if a new customer walked in unless they decided to pay attention. I did voice it to the female staff that they need a door bell at least. Then the female staff told me to wait as she was occupied so there was another 10 mins wait. I wasn’t called in, so I had to remind her that I was waiting outside. She was very unwelcoming with no greetings or a smile. When I was asked to come in I told her that I was wanting to join the gym. She pointed at the chart which was pasted on her table and read it out to me in 2 sentences. I asked her that there was a sale which was going on to which she replied that the sale was over. Before the sale ( which was from 21st Feb ) I had visited the gym and that time I was attended by a male staff, he told me that if I join either one ( the key charge or the joining fee would be taken off) Mind you there was no offer going on then. When I told her about this, she said she was “instructed” not to give any discount and I will have to pay the joining amount of $190. Well I did not have a choice but to sign up. She took my details, made me sign the terms and conditions without informing what the terms and conditions are or going through them, even briefly. Once the payment was made and direct debit was set all she said was “ Welcome to Anytime fitness” again with no smile. There are goodies which are offered by AF which my other member friends have received. None were given to me. She didn’t even have a Lynyard for the key. After signing up I did regret joining the gym , but here I am stuck with them for a year. Clearly the franchisee doesn’t care how the customers are treated / greeted all they care about is sign them up. Wouldn’t recommend the AF to my mates at least.

Fantastic experience: Nice gym

Negative experience: Crowded, limited machines and worst of all air conditioning didn’t work on a really hot day. The manager made up some excuse that the a/c leaks if the temperature is on cooler. Funny that, because as a tenant you would get the landlord to fix, but that wasn’t the reason, they don’t want to pay for electricity. Trust me, avoid like the plague.

Negative experience: Their website doesn't have a membership price list. To know about the membership fees you gotta fill up a form on their website by giving all your personal details and someone will call you to discuss the price. What a waste of time and effort in this annoying process. While every other gym has a price list clearly mentioned on their website, these guys are special. Hence the special 1 star rating.

Negative experience: Parking is a big factor that i haven't visited yet. Staff seemed friendly on the phone, letting me know about Parking so can't wait to visit ..

Fantastic experience: Travelled to Parramatta and used this anytime gym a couple of days. One of the cleanest kept Anytimes I’ve used. The range of equipment by far the best in any of the AF gyms I’ve used. Definitely recommend it as a place to work out

Positive experience: Using this gym while Granville is under renovation. The deadlift platform is really big and nice! You can use it for Oly Lifting if needed. Big cardio area, however no boxing bag due to noise issues. Ok place but equipment like bars are a bit old and rusty. Knurling is a bit too worn for my liking. Hard to find smaller plates like 1.25kg ones and they have the old style hammer strength plates. Overall not bad but can't give it 5 stars for the reasons above.

Positive experience: Decent gym to workout at, can be a little crowded during peak hours. Equipment is aging and there are a few issues time to time so beware, nothing that would hamper your workouts though.

Negative experience: Dear gym office , water shouldn't be left unfixed specially on a Monday? What were you guys doing not getting it fixed knowing the next day is a public holiday ? People can't workout without water. Take some actions and instead of being lazy do something about it not just leave signs everywhere " put weights back"

Negative experience: Plates are always left on after use and people don't use towels. Equipment is good and the gym is relatively spacious. A/C could be better, avoid during peak hour.

Negative experience: Have rung the gym so many times and left message on the listed mobile number as I would like to make enquires about membership but no one has returned my messages. Have even filled out the online enquiry form but have had no response im contact from anyone at the gym.

Fantastic experience: Recently signed up, the staff were very helpful throughout the process. The membership fees are reasonable, and its good value for money. The gym itself is quite large, its one of the larger commercial gyms in the area.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for 7 years, and I absolutely love this gym. It’s been renovated twice, and the staff look after the club really well.

Negative experience: 13 January 2022- I attended anytime fitness Parramatta South. During my workout, I was verbally attacked and abused by another club member, The attack was unprovoked and witnessed by a number of gym goers and the club manager. I had a conversation with the club manager who informed me that he will take action against the other member (I recorded that conversation to protect my legal interests). The manager clearly indicated that he had witnessed the incident and that the other member had attacked me for no reason. Again, i have the recording which i am happy to post if my version is disputed. However, no action was taken agains the other member. I was provided with vague, poorly worded responses in regards to my concerns. No witnesses were interviewed, no CCTV was viewed, nothing happened. The manager emailed me saying "the matter is now closed" without actually informing me of how the matter was finalised. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE OR AT ANYTIME PARRAMATTA NORTH UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ABSUED WITHOUT BEING SUPPORTED. THE ATMOSPHERE IS NOT SAFE. Ironically, the man who attacked me has posted a review here, and he describes the presence of "meat heads" in the gym. I have been training for some 7 years, and i have never experienced such unprofessional experiences from any staff members. That is why for the first time in my life, i decided to leave a google review to a business. Anytime Parramatta did not want to lose one customer and that is why they failed to act. I hope that my review will deter at least one person from signing up here. Anytime fitness is generally a good organisation. Just make sure to refrain from signing up at the above mentioned two locations. Very good nearby alternatives are West Ryde, Merrylands, North Rocks.

Positive experience: Good gym with almost all the facilities that are required. Its just the regular maintainence of the gym needs to be taken care of. For example, some grips and ropes are torn and not been replaced since a long time.

Fantastic experience: It is very good.. Varieties of machines are there.. Multiple back and leg machines are present and that is impressive. I would expect few more EZ bars and 2nd lat pull down setup. Members should be more responsible and keep the weights at proper place.. Overall good experience for first week.

Negative experience: I have been gyming for a long time. This is by far the worst experience I have had in this gym and consistently. - People are unprofessional. There are a few racists in this gym. - equipment are poor and has been unchanged for a long time. - the cardio set up and work out set up in two different and separate sections. You have to scan in and out, carry your bags and everything across to enter the other section. it's very inconvenient. - everytime it rains, a section of the gym leaks and messes up a section -no customer appreciation -washrooms are dirty - waterfountains have low pressure in spite of that I had to use the gym for a long time.. there are other AF better than this location..

Negative experience: First of all there is no info saying what time they close it was suppose to be open till 12 i came at 9:45 and i was keeping my bag and a guy came from office and said we close in 10 mins i asked him dont you guys use to be open till 12am. That guys asked me how long have you been coming here dont you know we close early now cant you see the paper outside that we close at 10. I'm not paying $89.9 for this kind of services and talks. Time to switch the gym now.

Fantastic experience: Moved to Parramatta over a year ago and this was the nearest AF gym to me. I’ve got to say it’s one of the best gyms I’ve been to in a long time, although they only offer the necessities (equipment-wise), not once have a I ever felt intimidated or uncomfortable to go back. I’ve started taking my fitness seriously ever since I started going to this branch! Really bummed out that I’m now moving to another part of Sydney!

Positive experience: Great gym, clean, lots of equipment, but rarely staffed

Fantastic experience: I go here almost every day. Not a single complain so far. Staff and the people training here are very generous and helpful. Does not have some equipment like other anytime fitness near. Gets busy now a days after 6pm due to limited hours
