Positive experience: Good gym

Negative experience: The gym has some decent squat racks, but overall, it's very cramped. Machines are old, and several are faulty. Ventilation is non existent, can't even tell if there's air conditioning in the place so the air is super warm and stuffy, and in areas where the little fans don't reach it can be quite oppressive. Apparently, it was renovated less than a year ago, but you couldn't tell.

Fantastic experience: Great vibe, staff awesome

Positive experience: "Are you training for the ice bath challenge? Come to plus fitness parramatta, where the cold shower tap is cold and the hot tap..........is also cold" Place had a great range of equipment if not a little squashed together but yeah that was a memorable shower haha.

Fantastic experience: I’ve spent quite some time at this gym and really enjoyed it, especially because it’s close to my home and open 24/7. Recently, I started training with Philip, a personal trainer here. He helped refine the exercises I was already familiar with and pushed me with new challenges and workouts. I highly recommend him!

Positive experience: Don't know about becoming "world class" after renovation, as another popular review states - machines are the same, same number of them. It became more "soulless" and sterile, e.g. they removed recommended exercises posters, flipchart with local gym records, etc.

Negative experience: There is no car park.

Negative experience: Horrible experience with customer care. I cancelled the gym membership with plus fitness Parramatta mid of last year as I was not able to go there and gym wasn't appealing enough. Later last year i joined strive fitness Parramatta. I cancelled my strive fitness membership this year and just to check on the deduction in my bank account, I was surprised to know that I was still getting deducted by plus fitness. When I reached out to them they said that the person who took my cancellation has left and they don't have any forms with them so they will not refund me, i explained that why would any one join 2 gyms in same area but they just don't agree and would not refund my money. Its a gym fee for entire year so not a small amount.

Negative experience: I've seen a middle aged men coming here without a towel unsure if he is a member but I've seen him sneak behind a member ... He seems to come afternoon around 2ish in the afternoon and in morning around 10 he made the stair master all wet and seen his sweat cover it was disgusting no one has reported the men he looks middle aged men maybe in his 50 but fit and bit bald he would wear shorts and dark olive shirt greyish hair Overall The websites says they have access of free WiFi I came here looking for the WiFi I don't feel motivated to go coz I find it easy to exercise I can concentrate using my iPad or iPhone to play certain video , I know long time ago they did provided it so kinda feel ashamed they won't provide it.

Negative experience: My fav local gym- clean, compact. The cause behind giving my two start is- The calf machine was broken before the renovation, after renovation it is over 5 months- still no sign of the calf raising machine after suggesting the spot for the machine to Brendon also

Fantastic experience: I just love how they renovated this gym and made it look and feel world-class. It's so clean and even when it's full you can still get a decent workout. Also I realised that there aren't a lot of photos after the renovation, so here you go.

Positive experience: Good plus fitness. Smaller than my regular at rydlemere but that one is shut till mid June. Plenty of treadmills but on the weights I would hate to be here when busy. It's ok trying to get to a cable machine but would skip peak times. Pretty clean as well.

Regarding previous reviews - I just joined and was told proactively about 2 week cancellation notice (no lock in though), and it was fresh air in the evening, air cons were on.

Negative experience: This "gym" is an embarassement for humanity and especially for a "first" world country like Australia. It is not worth 2 dollars a month. There is no air inside, it stinks. The machines are smelly and dirty, a perfect getaway for roaches and rats. Don't deceive the readers how the fans and aircon are turned on.

Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 star. - for its membership rule while it comes to cancellation. As I wanted to cancel my membership, and since the payments are made in advance direct debit, I requested to cancel next direct debit. But I was told that I have to give 14 days notice. Notice for what? I don’t work there, neither I have any liability nor do they have to search for a replacement in my place. I am already bearing a loss of 50$ as the key is non- transferable. Now I have to bear loss of another 35$ membership fee of another next 2-weeks, which I don’t want to continue?? Plus fitness, if you are trying to give your members a 2-weeks time to see if they want to change the mind and still continue with you, then its better not to charge your members for that period. It was quite disheartening to see this rule and got charged for next 2 weeks for nothing. I requested to talk to someone from but could not get a contact number, as they have feedback forum only. So had to make this review, to make aware of this rule to other people. Got a very bad final impression of Plus Fitness, and the way it treats its members while it comes to discontinuing membership.

Fantastic experience: The staff are really friendly and helpful. I started getting personal training sessions with Julia and she is amazing!! Really friendly and helpful and I can tell she genuinely does care about my health and well-being, she puts in a lot of time and effort to ensure I feel confident and really encourages and motivates me to try my best each time by pushing me to reach my personal best! I wasn’t sure about pt sessions at first but I’m so glad I started training with Julia! I used to rarely go gym maybe 1-2 a week but now I go almost everyday!!! Love the friendly atmosphere and trainers are really professional! :) would 100% recommend!!

Negative experience: Here’s the truth everybody.... I am not a member of the Alexandria club, I was transferred after 2 weeks of trying to cancel with parramatta. Originally I signed up here. Had to cancel my membership as I now have access to another gym free of charge. Rung up and asked the manager if there’s any way I could cancel without coming in. He said no, you need to physically come in to sign the cancellation form. I asked what if I can’t make it in during your staffed hours? He responded saying you can’t cancel and will have to continue paying. (No care what so ever) Then asked him to email me through a copy of my gym membership contract. In my contract it doesn’t say anything about physically being there in person to cancel nor did he respond to my email asking where in my agreement it states it. I then go to plus fitness head office and they tell me you can cancel you just need it in an email form in writing and fill out a cancellation form. It even states it on the plus fitness website. Either this manager is uneducated about the clubs terms and conditions or his just plain right money hungry and unhelpful. At no point did he show any care towards my needs and did not answer half my calls when I tried contacting multiple times about this. I would not recommend this club AT ALL.

Negative experience: Just called to try and get some information after I asked if there was a womens only section the guy hung up on me and then wouldn't answer the phone after that.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, very clean and never overcrowded. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my membership after discovering a serious illness called "laziness". Once I get cured, I will start again. Highly recommend it to anyone. The gym is equipped with all you need, and in case you have some questions concerns or want to just chat, staff will be there for you.
