Negative experience: In experienced people sitting at reception. Had to do multiple back and forth to get gym membership cancelled that too after paying 240 to do it. This could have been avoided if proper information about medical certificate requirements was provided at first visit. Such a waste of time and energy coming to them.

Negative experience: On my first day at the gym, I walked in and immediately noticed dirt and leaves scattered across the entrance. When I went to the receptionist to get my new pass, she didn’t offer to show me around or explain anything about the gym, particularly the pool and sauna, which I needed to know about. She just sat there and seemed uninterested. As I made my way to the pool, I couldn’t help but notice how rundown the gym appeared. In the women's changing rooms, I found that none of the lockers were available they seemed to have been permanently claimed by other members. Some of the lockers I opened were filthy, and I felt uncomfortable leaving my bag there, so I carried it with me to the pool area. The pool area itself was in terrible condition. The white chairs were covered in green mold, and there were leaves and dirt all over the floor. The carpets looked worn and disgusting. I have severe injuries and rely on using the sauna, but when I went in, it was ice cold. I couldn’t understand why, especially since I’m paying for a membership. Why aren’t the facilities working? When I went to shower, I was disgusted by how dirty and moldy the showers were. I didn’t even want to touch anything. The seats were filthy, and the whole place made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I rely on hydrotherapy for my injuries, but the state of the gym is so off-putting that I don’t feel like going back. I’m now considering finding another place.

Negative experience: I had to leave Australia around August 1st, so I canceled my membership. They said I should have informed them a month in advance, which I understand. However, it’s been almost two months since I canceled my membership, and they are still charging me money. I’m not even in Australia right now, so I have no way to cancel it. This is the worst.

Negative experience: It is extremely disappointing that the staffed hours are from 6am and I’m just leaving the gym at 6:15 with no one in the main reception. People choose gyms with saunas and facilities to use them whenever they are advertised as available. If your staff hours are FROM 6am you should START at 6, not arrive at this time. Even worse, not even arriving on time. Maybe don’t advertise something you can’t supply so people don’t get frustrated for paying for something they can’t have. Also, during finishing times, if the sauna works along staffed hours it shouldn’t be shut down at 20 to, but at the end of the shift. Very poor service honestly, already regret signing up for something I can’t have.

Negative experience: I have been a Goodlife Member since 2017. 2 years at Caroline Springs and 5 years here at Hoppers Crossing. Very disappointed. Showers are full of mould, pool is dirty and I wouldn't even touch the spa. Came in for a late night session and found my car smashed in. Asked the staff for CCTV footage and they wouldn't give me a copy unless the Police were involved. Extremely strict tailgating policy as well. $100pp. But heaps of people at night trying to barge in after you enter. Or get in after you leave. When issues come up (payment, membership, etc.), all they ever say is "I can't do anything. It's the policy." They will claim that they "listen to you" and they "empathise" but customer service is nowhere to be found and they just keep repeating and parroting what they were trained to say, but don't actually try to help you come up with a solution. It's like banging your head on a brick wall.

Positive experience: It’s a pretty good gym. Love that it’s 24 hours but it badly needs an equipment upgrade. It’s had the same rusty equipment since I first joined over 10 years ago…especially the women’s gym.

Negative experience: I've been at Goodlife Gym in Wantirna goer for over six years. This is the first time I have visited this gym at Hoppers. Unfortunately, it looks like the Goodlife parent company has orphaned the Hoppers Goodlife gym. This gym needs a complete refurbishment (literally, from the ground up). We need a bigger and better gym space, and it definitely requires regular cleaning. I am very disappointed. If I stay around this area longer, I will move my membership to another gym.

Negative experience: The place is great, but the women's gym needs updated machines. It would be beneficial to have a Smith machine downstairs. The gap under the squat machine mat needs tightening to avoid tripping hazards. Additionally, adding more upper body machines in the women's area would be helpful, as some women aren't comfortable going upstairs. Regarding the exercise bikes in the women's gym, they aren't necessary since there are plenty in the main area. Utilizing this space with more useful machines would be a better use of the area.

Negative experience: Left a positive review when joined but sadly putting this comment in. Please refurbish the facility especially install more mirrors upstairs, make the pool area clean, it’s getting mouldy there. No cleanliness there! Regretting my decision to join this gym!

Fantastic experience: Great facilities. Classes are well run with plenty of room and no extra sign in requirements. Change rooms are modern and next to spa and pool. I enjoyed the Sunday morning yoga class and Tuesday Body Balance classes. Loved sitting in the huge spa after treadmill workout. Music was fantastic and great to work out to. Much better than my previous gym. Cheers.

Negative experience: Needs complete refurbishment rip up the manl carpet and to remove the kids swimming club as members we are paying for that facility or just use 1 lane . Members payimg for faciliry advertised and can hardly use it ..need to increase staff hours till 10pm so members can use pool spa sauna .changing rooms very dirty unhygenic . Lockers loads people junk .dust dirt .no toilet rolls in the loo Gym equipment hasnt been cleaned in months when staff have nothing to do they should clean especially gym equipment and be seen they expect people to pay for PTs who do nothing for tge club ..i drive to point cook well out of my way to use Goodlife there its immaculate .staff very bubbly enthusiastic. Negative experience: My wife used to have a membership and tried to cancel it but nobody was ever available to terminate the membership, she had to change her credit card number in order to stop them from billing her. Their response to this was to put her account into arrears and raise it with a debt collection service. DO NOT USE GOODLIFE

Negative experience: Goodlife was once quite a clean, organised and modest gym. Staff seemed pleased to see your face walking in the door and when weights weren’t placed back in the correct position they’d have a period of time throughout the day to rearrange everything. However recently the gym’s etiquette has been extremely poor, early mornings and late nights sessions have had me wondering whether the gym is a viable option for my safety and comfort, groups of random teenagers seem to casually walk on through the doors, smoke elicit substances in the toilets and trash the entire gym. I’ve heard from multiple members that their phones and personal items have been stolen and there was little to no help at all from staff, the toilets are disgusting, weights are not clean and are visibly dusty, benches are not wiped down and there is literally mould growing on the roof. As of my recent visits a numerous amount of machines have been damaged as well and until there is a feasible level of change regarding the security of personal possessions and the well being of gym members, I do not intend to return nor would I advice anyone to sign up.

Fantastic experience: Great place to stay healthy and fit for all ages. Personal trainers are very professional and friendly specially Mr Dharshik Mohan is an excellent personal trainer ️‍♂️. Reception staff members always welcome with big smile . I got happy birthday wishes on my spacial day . I am really satisfied, happy and proud of being the member since last 4 years. I am proud to state that Tash is a great female trainer. She is very professional, committed, and provides excellent training sessions to the new starters to help them achieve their goals.

Negative experience: Very unhappy with the service. Incorrect information provided when joining regarding cool off period and the free personal training session offered as part of joining is pointless. It took a long time to even get assigned to a personal trainer and by then the cool off is exhausted. Maybe the paid one is better but I would not dare to try it. They do offer quite a few freebies once you decide to cancel but until then you are just exhausted with all the calls.

Negative experience: Absolute thieves. At the time of joining they verbally told me their is no joining or termination fee. They charges $77 for the joining and now a 30 day cancellation notice period. Absolute rip offs. Never joining this rip of a club ever againn I guess that is how they make their money. Negative experience: Horrible past experience (2018) and it has come back to haunt me in the form of debt recovery. Its funny how all the track and record suggests the outcome of several phone calls made by the business were "No answer". What are the odds of missing all communication? Please be careful with what this gym has to promise and how they go about fulfilling their promise. In the end, the onus will be on you to do all the run arounds and businesses like these will reap monetary benefits. I will never recommend Goodlife to anyone. Terrible customer service. Poor management.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for past 3 months. I have been Going to several gyms over past 5 years but I couldn’t get motivated. Thanks to staff for their easy going attitude but mainly to my gym instructor - Raven Smith from whom I take 1 class each week. He has brought a change in my body and my work ethic which o didn’t believe before I had. It’s really at the end upon you and the person who motivates you … give it a try and thank me later…

Negative experience: Really not upkeeping their equipment and facilities is making this place less enjoyable to come. I'm happy to stay but would recommend others to go elsewhere in search of quality. UPDATE: Still no progress on the steam room or the update on the shower next to the sauna. Some fans are broken. Equipment starting to disappear. 2 stars now. UPDATE: Now the 24hr access cards aren't working and apparently no ones work. Even worse is that staff have left at 4 in the afternoon. Disgraceful.

Negative experience: Genuinely really awful service and very gross facility. Machines are old, and because the gym is quite old too, the bathrooms are mouldy even over the overwhelming chlorine smell and nightly cleaning it still trigger my allergies. The ladies room, which was my main reason for joining, is small and has a camera in it too so not very ladies only. Very bored staff whenever you come in to ask them questions they could care less but are super NICE when you join. You can only use the pool before 8 and after 6 and a random hour on Tuesday because they rent it out to a swim school, so you’re better off somewhere else for that “perk”. Gross managers when they call you even though there is an issue with the debitor they use. Tried to settle with the debitor twice for overcharging me even when my bank statements prove there were funds but it’s like jumping through hoops while the manger is condescendingly blowing up your line. I plan on terminating my contract to join the other newer gyms one of the other newer gyms in the western suburbs. Negative experience: This is one of the oldest gym in the entire Melbourne. The machine's are so old that its making noise while using the treadmill. It is one of the most unhygienic gym that looks so vintage. The restroom floor was filled with water and looked like it has never been cleaned. The lockers lock were broken. There is literally no maintenance done.

Negative experience: I will not change my rating until this gym buys another 6Kg dumbell. There has only been one 6Kg dumbell on the rack since I've started my membership and I haven't seen it replaced for 6 months. Really frustrating not being able to use both, will change review once the dumbell is reunited with its pair.

Positive experience: Dont like leaving negative reviews. But its very unhygienic here. Floors are gross as is the mens locker room. Whole place feels run down. Needs a reno stat

Fantastic experience: Absolutely awesome. There a great sense of community in the venue. Staff members are super friendly and willing to help. There a small area where you can have a complimentary coffee or tea. The timetable is very complete with a lot of options. The weight area and the machinery are new and in prime state. The venue is always very clean. Easy parking. Climatized swimming pool.

Negative experience: Not ideal for ladies. Ladies room very small with minimal equipment. I have to wait for equipment upstairs as men linger around going from machine to machine enjoying a social affair with mates. Find another gym ladies

Negative experience: Worst gym I have ever been to the girl doing the membership induction lies to you there personal trainers are more interested in talking to there girlfriends on the phone then when I want to cancel my membership they hit you up with extra fees not good definitely stay away from this place

Negative experience: Don't use this gym the personal trainers are on their phones fighting with there partners when U are paying good money for a traners they lie to U about the promotions that they have. Then they have ordasaty to charge 220 for the membership I didn't want

Negative experience: Terrible customer service no reply to emails ...not enough equipment in gym....specially in weight area.. Terrible staff ..... plssssss hire some good staff who are willing to work and knows importance of customers.

Positive experience: The facility is well maintained. There are sanitising stations were we can sanitise the equipment before and after use. There is enough equipments to cater for 24 hours usage. Which is good.

Negative experience: I have been approching them for my unnecessary deductions of payment though my membership already been transferred to another goodlife. Everytime i am getting a same response "Will revert you soon". They have a poor communication internally, they leave the things over each other, I find transfer is very very difficult. I mean 1 person says you need to come to the gym for your transfers & when I went their they say their is no need to come down here. Overall i had a bad experience with the staff whether it's regarding my transfer or my payments. Highly disappointed.

Fantastic experience: its a nice place location wise and good parking has gym cardio and swimming pool not to big. Unfortunately no steam room for some 2 years good sauna shower change rooms is fine,toilets are clean, lockers area all supplied friendly staff in general. One regret paying for steam room we don't have/ I have been a member many years highly recommend it

Positive experience: Gym seems okay. Never joined caused of dodgy style of rep to sign us up. And yeah they won't give you free trial. When I said it is on your website the rep was 'that is not from Gym but online thing only' I was like what does that even mean. Anyway end up joining other gym.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the customer service level from staff to get information on joining. I was given offer and I asked if I could confirm from my friend and then give me 5 minutes. Staff started with other appointment and I waited for 15 minutes however after finishing that appointment staff started one more appointment and ignored me completely. Totally unprofessional and compeletely ignorantorant.Which compelled me to come out of gym and decided not to get membership.

Negative experience: Everytime i go here its like i step into Mumbai, i feel like im working out in a call centre, and believe me im not a racist just you sign them up and they bring all their family and sit on the machines or use 4 at a time whilst on the phone then stare in the mirror for a good 10 mins before going off and perving on the women that workout upstairs. i think this is something you should look into No one wants to go to the gym to the smell of Curry in the air.

Negative experience: Hoppers Crossing Goodlife - I’ve had at least 3 memberships with these guys over the years and have been looking to re-join. I’ve been trying to find one affordable as they use to have a no joining fee and 30 days free promotion which I was hoping to renegotiate with them. I also tried to offer to buy a 12 month membership outright at a discount but was also turned down. Which is fine... but then an ad pop up on Facebook came up where you could sign up for a free 5day pass which was immediately sent to my email.Renae the assistant branch manager is rude and obnoxious who I had dealt with previously regarding my enquires. (Was only polite when she knew I was keen on joining - didn’t want a bar of it after I implied I would look elsewhere) called me immediately after I signed up for the pass telling me I was ineligible. No resolution or alternative offered. Just blatant rude. I would’ve joined it again ages ago had it not been for her lack of customer service. No class at all!

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym with fabulous trainers and the classes are so motivational and inspirational, best of bests are HIIT, ZUMBA, and BODY BALANCE and the KuboFit app you can use to see when is which class to attend. Super simple and easy

Negative experience: Will not recommended to anyone. I have joined this gym few months ago on month to month contract. I'm very disappointed with the system I've out of station and couldnt attend even for a single day. They should ask only for $29.9 for fortnight and simply suspend my account straight away as this was month to month contract. But now after 3 months they are asking for $600 for no reason. Very disappointed.
