Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. Gym is outdated and when you ask for some air circulation (fans) up stairs, it's a drama. Mt Lawley has a much better setup. Any member can press the button for the fans which last 10 mins @ a time

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this club since 2009 and have seen many managers and staff come and go over the years. They always do their best to keep up the standards of the club and the more recent newly appointed club manager and her team have really made some very noticeable changes/improvements Although the equipment and facilities have stayed pretty much the same it is always in good working order. The change rooms can do with a little upgrade/update. All in all a great club with really good staff and members! Thank you for making my fitness routine/journey so enjoyable

Negative experience: I went there once, four months ago. Casual entry. I'm still receiving e-mails asking me to join up. I received 3 phone calls and 2 text messages afterwards trying to get me to sign up. I didn't ask for any of that. Just wanted to go for a one off to see if I should buy my own exercise bike. Feeling harassed. Good facilities, don't recommend providing your contact details though for casual membership unless you want continuous "hey, come sign up".

Negative experience: Came in around 10:15am. Blonde girl at the counter was really dismissive and rude. Didn't want to help. She asked if we were okay and we said just waiting for some help as she didn't greet us as we stood waiting for awhile. I told her I was wanting to try out the gym with my friend who is a member. I am currently looking to sign up to a new gym as my current gym is too small. She told me use the QR code and then went back to what she was doing. After I signed in she didn't say anything just went back to talking to her colleague. There was 0 customer service which put me off signing up with this gym. Shame as gym facilities seemed pretty good

Negative experience: Terrible customer support, if you want to cancel anything in this gym it just takes you to another number. Would give it 0 if I can. Abysmal wait times. Never ever waste your time here.

Negative experience: Management is too slow in resolving the steam room issue. 70percent of the time it's down and not working. It's so amusing that they don't realise the members are switching.. Sad such a lackadaisical approach towards fixing the simple issue. It hardly costs any money to resolve and keep the equipment up and running, professionally managed Gyms would not be so relaxed on a a simply but important issues. It's simply poor initiative. Sad such wonderful setup and so poorly managed.

Negative experience: Nice customer service when you sign up for them to take your money… terrible customer service afterwards. Never answering the phones, tried to call them 3 times about a financial issue for last weeks payment, im just too busy working to drop by in person. So I missed a direct debit for the first time last week, was charged $10 as punishment. The first time I attended the gym in December, I told a staff member at reception that it was my first time attending a class and that I was really nervous and needed some help showing me where the class was. I arrived 15mins early to make sure I was attending the class on time. She told me to have a seat and that she’ll be back in 5 mins to show me. 15mins have passed, didn’t come back. So I decided to be brave and go find it myself. It’s now 2mins past the class start time, I felt awful joining the class late and interrupting them as they had already started and the instructor had to stop to tell me what to do, was nerve racking. I haven’t been back since due to my panic disorder, I’ve been working out at home instead. Save your money, go to Revo fitness instead they’ll give you a no lock in contract for $10 per week instead of goodlife charging $25.99 per week.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, happy team members. I come to Goodlife while in Perth and they always accommodate me for a week at a time. Cheap at $50 a week or $100 for three weeks. Most gyms charge $20 a visit if you aren't a member. Lastly, clean, excellent and abundant equipment and services.

Negative experience: Turn down the music. Unbearably loud, terrible music that even the most expensive noise-cancelling headphones can’t block out. This feedback has been provided before yet the club has ignored it. Could you please provide the reason why you continue to ignore member requests? You aren’t being asked to turn it off, you are being asked to turn it down. 99% if not 100% of gym goers want to listen to their own music. What is the club’s justification for continuing to have such woeful music being played at such an excruciating volume? Has there been a wave of requests from members simply begging you to keep a cringeworthy playlist at ear-splitting decibels? Is there some kind of contractual mandate that forbids members from being able to listen to their own music lest they wish to exercise some kind of freedom of choice? Please provide the reason why a logical, common sense, reasonable request, made by multiple people members continues to be ignored.

Negative experience: Apparently they have hidden cancellation fees and charge 150 for it. After trying to cancel for multiple months. And after hassling a 20 year old who is studying and living out of home with debt collectors, no compassion lolll. Finally had to pay it cause I had no choice cause they would get a court order for the minuscule 150 dollars they want to steal from a uni student.

Negative experience: Been to all Goodlifes in Perth. This is one of the worst. Me and many others have told the staff to turn the music down multiple times and they have failed to do anything. It is mind numbingly loud and on a constantly awful playlist. Oh and constant loud ads that they force you to listen to. The gym is unclean, stinks like sweat and there are also cockroaches in the sauna.

Positive experience: My membership started at Mt Lawley and i am still a member at Mt Lawley because it is located to my residence. I used to go to Osborne Park before it was closed down. i come now to Innaloo due to Mt Lawley does not have a cycle class on Wednesday at 9.30am. The gym is clean and the equipment is up to date. Reception greets me with a hello and a goodbye when I visit. Thank you.

Negative experience: Read your contract very carefully. Didn't use the membership once due to a pregnancy complication. Not their fault but the fine print about the the contract switching to being ongoing and then hidden cancellation fee if you didn't get in before it switches over is very sneaky. Also very hard to get through to them to cancel your membership. The whole experience has been very disappointing, would have been easy to waive that final fee and have a customer when I returned to good health, instead I'll tell anyone who will listen to avoid them.

Positive experience: Have just joined Goodlife Innaloo and from what I have seen, it is a great gym! I have come from a Fernwood Fitness gym in Vic so it was a little intimidating moving to a male/female gym. However, I signed up to utilize the Reformer Pilates and RPM group fitness classes. If you are specifically looking into reformer Pilates then I would give this gym a try. They are by far the cheapest in the area that I have found (Unlimited reformer + access to all group fitness classes for $35 pw compared to 2x reformer Pilates classes for $55 - 65pw). Gym instructors seem really lovely also and most reception staff give you a smile when you walk in.

Negative experience: First class back after months of Illness. Instructor Kristina was leading the pump class in a confusing manner, saying to go quick, go quick, then saying your going too quick slow it right down. Saying stop at the bottom, then saying dont hold at the bottom. Also lots of ooooohhhhhhhhh noises and saying to lift your shirt up...Bit odd. Room was freezing also which is never a good way to keep healthy, undertaking sweaty exertion in super chilly air conditioning then putting fans on as well.

Negative experience: Most of the equipment is old and always has something wrong with it. Cleaners do an awful job sauna is never cleaned, soap and hand towels always empty. -Needs an full size hack squat -needs a pec dec/ rear delt fly -more weight collars most of them seem to be gone -another cable machine would be awesome as they are always taken. The staff are very friendly which is a plus and atleast not all of the equipment is technogym which is also nice. Why should I pay similar prices to karrinyup gym when everything is all outdated.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst gym location I’ve ever dealt with. Signed up after a few years off and having a few kids. Made it very clear I was only interested in the reform Pilates classes and asked if they were suitable for beginners . Was assured they were. Was hounded and hounded to join, all nice as anything until you sign up and they get your money and then boom. Was humiliated and bullied by one of the class instructors in front of the whole class. Upon airing my grievances to the staff I was told too bad I couldn’t cancel my membership as I was past my cooling off period (only by 3 days I may add). Classes are most certainly not suitable for beginners as you can’t get any help they are so busy and you have to be careful which classes you go to so you aren’t subjected to bullying and humiliation from some chick on a power trip with a microphone. I’ve tried dealing with several people since only to be met with rudeness and robot responses instead of human decency. It’s ironic they ask you to treat staff with respect as a customer but don’t return the courtesy. Won’t cancel Once they have your money they couldn’t care less. Steer well clear of this establishment as other reviews have said! Wish I had read them before joining!

Positive experience: For those who don't read the contract properly then complain..... that's on you. I enjoy this gym, the group fitness classes feel more like being part of a team and working towards our own goals. The staff and trainers are friendly and professional . I spend more on my coffee every week than I do on my membership . Sure some of the equipment is a bit tired, but it's still fit for purpose. Oh, and if I miss a few classes they contact me and it shows a good spirit as I am still paying my membership so they could just take the money and run. So get in there and be the best you can be.

Negative experience: Club is busy with older equipment than Goodlife Karrinyup. Sauna (reason I don't use cheaper chain) closes at 7pm Monday to Thursday, earlier than some other Goodlife gyms. Shower only had luke warm water at 9pm on a Tuesday.

Negative experience: If I could give no stars, I would! The admin staff at this club are the worst I’ve ever dealt with in the 7 years I’ve been training. They don’t communicate within themselves, they take absolutely no responsibility for their errors and don’t offer any compensation. The staff are rude and sarcastic and give false information when dealing with members who are upset. I strongly recommend not wasting your time and money on this club.

Negative experience: The place is run down to the ground, everything inside is supertired and requires massive renovation, the equipment is old and dirty, very little gas been done to the place, since they took over Fitness First several years ago. Their sales people will lie to you in order to get your sale. And their admin staff will never admit it later on. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this place, there are much better and cheaper alternatives out there.

Positive experience: Excellent Gym, Parking is limited. Bit crowded. Great presentation in facilities. I prefer gyms like this where you can’t just see everyone in one look. This gym compared to Joondalup Good life I would take this gym any time.

Negative experience: Traveled from Melbourne to Perth for ONE month. I told them this several times and with some aggressive sales techniques, they highly recommended their suggested contract. Even told me I could get out of it when I’m no longer in Perth. Since moving back to melbourne they have still been charging me for over 8 months! I’ve called over 4 times being told someone will get back to me. No one does and meanwhile they keep charging you. Eventually when they got back to me they were downgrading and rude and simply said I can’t get out of the contract. The communication from the staff was completely incorrect and misleading. Thought gyms make money from people going there and not intentionally screwing people over? They’ve been so horrible to deal with that I now have to go to ACCC to sort it out. Absolutely disgusting business.

Fantastic experience: Reception staff are amazing! Dan was very helpful over the phone - he cleared up a query I had straight away (regarding a payment issue) which saved me a lot of time in the long run. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: People delivering pamphlets on behalf of Goodlife can't read. No junk mail means no junk mail. Maybe let them know that. I don't care if you are opening at Karrinyup. The cost to be a member per week is more expensive than Revo Innaloo. What a rip off.

Fantastic experience: I have just contacted reception at Goodlife Innaloo  in regards to canceling my membership or potentially putting it on hold for a while due to having to leave the state to care for my mother after my father's passing. This is the second time that I have contacted the gym in regards to this issue. Both times I have been treated with such compassion.  I've just had the please of speaking with Tallulah who I found to be incredibly helpful. I'm really happy with the outcome. Awesome gym! Negative experience: I've been trying to cancel my membership since January. I've called and called asking for them to cancel the membership since I could no longer afford it. Not only have I never received any confirmation of cancellation to the email I have always have been sent their information but they couldn't even refund me any of my money back. I've had money taken from me from a facility I haven't seen since december last year. I was sickened to hear the first few times I called listening as the staff were accusing me of lying saying I never did contact to cancel and even after our debates, my obvious conflict and promise of resolve nothing was ever done and I still today I'm being charged over $100 every month. I've paid nearly $400 because of the mistakes the staff have made and will never see that money again. I just pray this time it will be resolved and I won't have to try manage my other monthly costs with the thought of another $100 being taken from my budget for no reason except incompetence. Though I enjoyed the club and its facilities when I could this has been and is still the worst experience I've ever had with a company. The emotions I have had to deal with because of this has been degrading and has affected me for too long. I could not and will not recommend anybody to join this club.

Negative experience: The cancellation notice is 4 weeks however I realised I paid 6 weeks!!!! I’ve made many phone calls for the cancellation and had to go to the Gym but I got no time now to retrieve these extra 2 weeks!!! The crew welcomes you and get you registered in a minute but you will experience delays and rude faces when you try to cancel your membership!!!!

Negative experience: I have been at this gym for a total of 3 and a bit years and I love Goodlife personally, in regards to it being a nice environment to do our daily workout or join a fitness class and reception and the trainers that work there are lovely. But recently whilst changing memberships I have had to sign 7 contracts since August last year due to it being cancelled and it not being processed properly.. this process has been appalling to say at the least.. I am truly upset.

Negative experience: I am stuck with this gym as I have 1 year membership .really poor customer service from Meg and you keep on getting overdue even you got money on bank and customer service won’t help you . Really frustrated with this gym and couldn’t wait when the membership will end and can join other gym . If really don’t want to waste money and time don’t join with this gym .

Negative experience: It’s been couple of weeks that the cleanness and tidiness has been diminished significantly. No shampoo in the showers, dirty sinks and etc. I hope they do something about it.

Negative experience: This gym is a nightmare! Due to personal circumstance, I wasn't able to use this gym anymore. Since then I tried three times to cancel the contract. They have many ways to stop you and find always new excuses why you can't finish your contract. Now I'm in the 6th month of trying to end this disaster. Fingers crossed I make it out this year. Do yourself a favour and stay aways from this rip off.

Negative experience: THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Please Trust every negative review you see on this page, because they're true. They only care about extracting the maximum $$$ from you. I requested a cancellation a month ago coz I relocated, and they froze my account for a month and put a "note" on my account to call me back after a month incase I change my mind or find someone else to continue the contract. so they waited till AFTER the direct debit for my weekly payment is processed and then called me the next day to cancel my membership. No refunds for this week's payment despite it being unused, neither did they consider deducting the amount from the cancellation fee. all that they've said is they spoke to their customer service manager, whoever the heck that is, and said unfortunately there's nothing they can do about it and pretty sure she just pretended to ask them. extremely disappointed in the way Kate handled the matter.

Negative experience: The gym equipment is out dated and they don't have water fountains available so they try to force you to buy water bottles at ridiculous prices Is having a bad attitude a job requirement to work there or an added bonus? They also regularly increase their membership fee and threaten with lawyers when you aren't happy to pay the extra money I wish I could give it negative stars

Negative experience: Went a while back for a free trial with a mate. The little sales guy tried way too hard to sell us without us even trying the gym, basically tried to piss us off because they don't want you to try the gym before joining. Gym was no charm either, wouldn't recommend.

Negative experience: The bottom of the barrel when it comes to gyms in this area! Been a member of gyms in general for over ten years. I have noticed a stark contrast with gym etiquette at this Innaloo gym by patrons and Goodlife personal trainers which is a reflection on lazy management, their unwillingness to change the culture at the gym and raise standards. -Weights not being put back or put back in the incorrect spot by patrons and PTs. -Equipment constantly broken, missing, dusty or cleaned poorly. -Repair or replacement time for equipment is laughably long (months without a tricep pulldown rope members resorted to using their towels) -Male changerooms constantly damp with wet paper towel strewn all over the floor towards urinals. -No one enforces the no towel no train policy. -Water fountain constantly leaking water onto the floor around the cable machine which has been left unrepaired for so long you can smell the mold. -PTs more interested in looking at their phones than their clients. -Lack of respect for other members and their property. Theft here is rampant! I reported my property stolen to one of the receptionists who informed me they'd review the CCTV footage but that car keys go missing here all the time with no positive outcome. Came back the following day no one had done anything, was told that it was basically filed in the too hard basket, that I or someone had probably just misplaced it, that they were unwilling to help and that they brush their hands clean of any responsibility of theft on the premises. For some reason, the cameras don't face in any meaningful way to provide useful information if your things are stolen from the shelves rendering them practically useless. I have seen many ex-Goodlife members and the more respectful, motivated, driven PTs do their time at GL and have moved on down the road to Revo Fitness or other gyms. Their are a handful of current Goodlife members waiting for their 12 month contracts to expire so they can move on. I have also seen a steep decline in the number of neck tattoos, nipple singlets and fake tan since leaving Goodlife Innaloo. The only reason why this place is not a one star is that functionally the gym operates, and the equipment being randomly scattered across the gym floor can unintentionally add to your workout if you don't mind picking up or de-racking other people’s weights off the floor or equipment. If you lack the numeracy skills to put your weights back in the correct place, if you have low standards for hygiene, if you don’t respect other members, their belongings or communal spaces, if you’re ok with paying an extra $7 a per week for services not rendered, half the equipment, half the space but want access to classes, if you have no other gym to compare it to or if you’re a PT just starting out and need the experience, than this might be the perfect gym for you.

Negative experience: Great friendly staff but during covid-19 would not let me cancel my membership without fees so they advised i try and find someone to take over my account. After months i finally found someone and they still want fees off me. What is the point of finding someone to take over my membership if i still have fees and they still need to pay a joining fee! They are the most difficult greedy people i have ever dealt with DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM

Negative experience: Cancelled my policy 3 times and they are still taking payments from my bank account! absolutely furious! I never get a call back from any managers when I do call I am left on hold then told I will be called back, this has been ongoing for 3 months!! will attempt to call for the 4th time today shocking!

Negative experience: stay well away from this gym. be careful about your subscription...they will take your money long after you decide to not use the gym. I called in early June to cancel my eldest boys subscription but was told "there was nothing in the notes" then they are still taking the money out of my account on 23/7/20. never again will i use this mob

Negative experience: My Daughter put her account on hold for 3 months while travelling overseas this was confirmed in writing by the club, they then kept charging the card anyway. When this was brought to their attention in March they confirmed after haggling a refund in full but 4 months on no refund. This was overcharged before COVID and advised refund before COVID so that is not an excuse in this case
