Fantastic experience: I have been a member for more than 1 year and can say that I have been super satisfied. I enjoy the fitness classes, especially conditioning and hardcore. Coaches and staff are professional and friendly. Reformer pilates is a great option if you want to try something different and more challenging. Will definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I became a member when this gym first opened 13 years ago and it has continued to get better every year. Having used many gyms before this one I know it is the best. Genesis Parramatta has everything - great trainers and instructors as well as a diverse range of classes.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for almost a year now and am very satisfied. The facilities are great, and so are the coaches and the classes. For instance I really like the outdoor area where the Genfit classes are held. Lesmills classes, and the newly added pilates classes (not tried yet) are also proposed. I definitely recommend this gym :)

Negative experience: The gym has good facilities and the outdoor area is great, but the customer service from the staff member I dealt with was disappointing. The conversations with her were often inappropriate, and when I advised I wasn’t interested in joining at the end of my trial, she abruptly ended the call. Hopefully, not potential new members have a similar experience.

Positive experience: The gym is excellent, with the added benefit of available parking. However, I was disappointed with the attitude of the front desk staff. The representative struggled to provide clear explanations and appeared irritated when I asked for clarification. I believe there is room for improvement in staff training.

Fantastic experience: This is a truly great gym. It is well equipped (brand new equipment), and has fantastic staff. The place is very clean, well organised with classes for everyone, and has a really nice community feel. It caters for everyone young and old. And it's 24/7.

Negative experience: The front desk and creche women are lovely, but the gym itself needs a complete overhaul. Like every other recent comment, the equipment is in absolute terrible condition. Especially upstairs where alot of the leg machines are, all the padding is falling off and you can’t even lock the weight plates in properly. And most members seem to be lazy and have no idea how to take plates off machines

Negative experience: One of the best worst gym award goes to Genesis parramatta!!! Every equipment is broken, even the staff mindset towards members is also broken. Even the rubbish bin is useful to keep the trash in it, but GENESIS parramatta is not even worth the rubbish bin. If someone is joining, please do a walk around the gym and try some equipments before you join the gym. Especially you got no equipment for your leg workouts. Too many qualified trainers than useful equipment. And few trainers are qualified but not experienced. Better join other fitness clubs. Don’t fall into trap of GENESIS parramatta.

Positive experience: Good range of equipment almost for every taste and flavour. Competitive pricing. Talented and great personal trainers. The only issue I have is sometimes is getting very crowded, special evenings. Bur if you are flexible with time is not a problem

Fantastic experience: I just love the classes at this gym; worth every penny and time spent here. I can't get enough of the Zumba classes especially and my favourite of course is Rudi's 3 times a week class! I just love Rudi's high energy and excellent dance Latino style which is so sexy and such a fabulous work out that one energises from it and comes away wanting more from it. Tailored to any age and is so much fun too. Ever since I started here in Jan, I have lost weight and increased my strength and fitness just through dancing with Rudi, Tabita and Anna too. Highly recommended a gym; reasonably priced and one can get into a class without having to pre book like done in other gyms!! I am giving this a 5 star review but wished there was a higher rating to add to it! Just love it.

Positive experience: The gym membership is very cheap and it is worth its price. The only negative thing I can say is the equipments are decent but look outdated in comparison with gyms like world gym popping up around sydney.

Fantastic experience: One of the reception girls were really rude was disappointed as she started yelling at me for no reason. Another receptionist, a young fellow, Steven was amazing and nice, he was kind and helped me as it was my first time at the gym he had given me really good advice. Definitely recommend you speak to him as the other 2 workers are lazy and have a play at work all day. Thanks

Fantastic experience: This is for early mornings: lots of machines which are well maintained. Staff answer questions. Showers and toilets are cleaned regularly.

Negative experience: The gym has all the equipment you need to do a work out and staff are fine but, the place is tired. Some equipment missing/unserviceable. Sauna is in really bad repair and would be lucky to break 60 degrees and the steam room routinely is out of order. Both are just completely not open on Sundays or external to staffing hours. The male change rooms are are in bad repair along with the showers (broken lockers/shower heads/no soap/tired/dirty). The gym floor hasn't had a good clean in a long time is quite a bit of chicks hair all over the ground. It is a bit gross to get down do a something on your back or maybe even push ups to then have to remove hair. The child minding is always full and very hard to book kids in unless you have a very regular schedule. Booking positions are released 1 week prior but, fill up quick. Basically impossible if you have an irregular schedule. $5 per child for 1 hour. So, if you go to the gym 5 times a week it is $20 for your membership and $25 per week of child minding - $45 per week. Free trial isn't free because you have to buy a entry fob for $40 which is non-refundable. Overall it is not diabolically terrible but, it's not great.

Negative experience: I was a regular at this gym for many years and noticed a huge lack of care from staff in the last few years, equipment is ALWAYS broken, e.g the cardio bikes sometimes for months - when you notify staff they just pretend like they care and nothings even done - people parking like clowns on the entry and exit are never addressed, bathrooms falling apart etc, TV’s often left on horse racing channels etc - real motivating stuff! people deliberately tailgating at night to get in for free etc - just a poor excuse for a gym, I attend another local gym and it’s always maintained and cleaned, equipment is always serviced and staff actually care! edit - speaks volumes when it has taken 11 months to reply to this review, and all of a sudden you are active responding to comments from months ago?

Positive experience: Good facilities and large floor area. Staff seem friendly enough and they have Physios and EP's upstairs. Plenty of parking available both out front of gym entry aswell as street parking.

Fantastic experience: I am a member since past 8 years. All personal trainers are great and there are heaps of group classes to choose from. The manager Nathan is very good. I had an incident and he was very pro active in resolving the matter.

Positive experience: I use to train at this gym for a long time literally everyday after 7 pm ( moved interstate now ). All equipment / free weights / atmosphere was just great. They also have friendly staff. 100% recommended

Negative experience: I have been a member of this gym for almost 8 years and have decided to cancel my membership. You CAN'T complain about the service ... because there isn't ANY. Gym culture starts at management. Every time a customer walkes in or out, counter staff hides themselves behind the computer screens like a Pigeon. They donot want to face a customer at all. Its Been several months since Robert left, management/professionalism went down the hill. If you are a FOREIGNER DONT GO THERE. They will make faces and make fun of you. Physiotherapist and trainers are walking aroud like they own the place and reserves multiple equipment/ Machines for hours which you can not access untill they finish. Even they are doin their routine exercise. I've trained in gyms statewide and cities of Australia - but never before have I felt so unwanted and I rewarded for my money as I do in this gym Hope Owner( Steve) gets this message and act on this.

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for having me, Genesis! I’ve so enjoyed my time being a member for the past 6 weeks while I’ve been living in Parramatta. Such a great environment here. I felt welcomed and part of the family right away! There is something for everyone here. Personally I loved the crèche and the les mills classes, special mentions to the ladies who do the child minding Ella, Kenzie and May for taking excellent care of my daughter, such an asset to have this service so us mums can have our “me time”. and the staff who take the classes, especially Michael who has such a great, uplifting energy and caters so well to first timers like me! The reception staff are also so friendly and there is plenty of equipment even when it’s busy, and the equipment is modern and always clean. Thank you all so much. If we end up moving over to Parramatta, I will absolutely be signing up long term ❤️

Positive experience: Accepts Fitness Passport which is great! No extra charge if using gym during staffed hours, classes an additional $5. Dedicated weights, cardio, strength training areas, cycling studio and group fitness class area. Free on site and on street parking available.

Fantastic experience: I had never received any personal training sessions prior to meeting Stephen. My knowledge and improvement in training has grown majorly through the guidance, support and motivation that he provides, both inside and outside of the gym. He makes training something to look forward to as there's always something new to learn from him. I would definitely take advantage of the free PT sessions with him if you sign up at Genesis Health + Fitness Parramatta. You'll have no good reason as to why you wouldn't pay $$$ to receive his guidance to reach your health and fitness goals. Thanks Stephen:) You're the best!!

Negative experience: Hey guys , don't be so rude and hold an attitude. Listen to what your customers are ask ing for. Take that chip of your shoulders. Extremely upset when you can't simply find nice people to talk to and especially be honest with there customer's and there membership.

Fantastic experience: Good gym. Air con very erratic. Upstairs can be really smelly when a/c is off. Lots of aerobic equipment that works - nothing out of order! Not ultra modern but does have duplicate and triplicate of the same equipment. No waiting during busy times.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate to attend Genesis Parramatta whilst my husband and I lived in Sydney for a work contract. I was very sad to leave the club when we returned to Brisbane. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and the class timetable is great. I loved my class instructors and the child minding seemed very popular and appreciated.

Positive experience: I absolutely love this gym as it has a crèche which is what I was looking for plus all kinds of different classes like Zumba, pilate, body pump and body attack. Happy with the staff members and the facilities provided.

Negative experience: Disappointing to see such a great place with such great people become what it has become. Most of the equipment is old, faulty and feels risky to use nowadays. Not even sure if there is regular maintenance being done on most of the equipment now

Negative experience: Inexperienced Reception Staff needs to understand how business works Otherwise it will lead to Permanent Business Closure !! On the first hand their staff made a mistake by accepting us for 1 month Groupon membership which they shouldn't have given if we had a trial before.Hence we confirmed before coming to the gym. We were also given access keys and also trained on first day. Next day another Staff member , instead of admitting their mistake he refused us entry and asked to discuss monthly membership !Wow. Have been to so many gyms before, never experienced such a service.Not to mention he was so Rude! Paying for one month was not an issue. However the way, the guy at the reception handled the whole thing, was horrible and humiliating. Will not recommend this gym to anyone. We were members in a reputed Gym from Past 5 years and could be your potential customers. Wont be surprised how many customers you are going to loose if you dont learn customer handling. As you are the face of the Gym! Looks like money is the only thing that matters to them. Edit :Reply to the Owner - As Arrogant the Staff So the owner is. All you could have done was just an apology on behalf of staff !! How hard it is to Say Sorry ? So if you are still Confused!! This review was not about the deal but the horrible attitude of the STAFF! But now when you have mentioned about deal .Here you go. The condition was not mentioned on the deal. It was visible only after it was purchased. That's why before coming to the gym, we called and confirmed the same from your staff. We were told that it's alright and were registered & given access keys More importantly, the way your staff member ( Stefan)talked today was horrible. You can't go on treating people like this. Like mentioned before, would have ignored the whole thing (though it was your staff's error) & bought one month's membership. But the way we were humiliated and not allowed to workout , it showed how much the gym staff actually cares about people. Happy to pay more somewhere else than support a business like this

Fantastic experience: I have never been a fan of gyms or exercise. But since I joined this gym after lockdown, I have lost 7kg. And it's all because of the zumba classes. Tabitha (tabz) is an amazing instructor and keeps every class fresh and exciting and before you know it, the hour is finished you're dripping in sweat and you wish it wasn't over. I don't miss a single class, that's how much I enjoy it.Thank you Tabz for making weight loss fun.

Peter who does the outside class is so nosy, he sends too much time taking the roll call? and doing cardio? not realising that numbers have dropped from these classes. Not Happy!

Negative experience: “Eliza Perkins” Member Care Manager, make sure you don’t yell at your clients over the phone for a wrong $$$ deduction you made. And I will make sure you are educated. Unprofessional staff, Extra charging is a usual thing here so you have to fight to get back your money.

Fantastic experience: I asked Genisys Parramatta for 3 , 6 and 12 months upfront options with no direct debit. Genesis happily gave me the upfront prices for 3 months and i paid upfront. In terms of parking there is heaps of parking. They have all the equipment and are always bringing in new types of equipment for new type of exercises. Lovely reception staff & good knowledge of trainers. Hopefully can bring back KickBoxing classes back soon. Thanks Genisys Parramatta

Positive experience: Everything but the limited parking during class times. Because of that I need to drive around the block to find a parking apace

Negative experience: They falsely charged us $120 of membership fees in July, after I cancelled in April, then Steve (owner) refused to refund this to us. We sent a cancellation email on April 12th. We have to give 30 days notice to cancel as per their T&Cs, so we were cancelled as of May 12th. The gym confirmed via email my April 12 cancellation, but the owner (Steve) now says they do not accept my April cancellation. They'll probably even reply here trying to say this too, despite me having written evidence that they accepted the April 12 cancellation. They are NOW trying to say it's cancelled as of August instead (when we called up to complain that money had been illegally taken from us), and that the fees in July are regular membership fees because we hadn't cancelled. Keep in mind this is after weeks of them acknowledging the cancellation email but trying to squirrel out of giving us a refund. They just started completely ignoring our calls. Steve was the rudest possible person we've ever encountered. My partner (authority on my account, who was following up this refund) went there in person to ask for the documentation about my cancellation after they refused to give it over the phone or via email. They called the Police because they didn't want to give any documentation, even though he was being polite and calm. Steve asked his receptionist to lie to the Police to say my partner was threatening their safety, to get them to come out. The employee was forced to repeat this lie to the Police. I can't believe he forced his employee to do that - she could clearly see that my partner (standing 2m behind their huge reception bench, speaking quietly and calmly) was not being threatening at all, but she was pressured by her boss into saying that. Steve outright refused to return these funds. We had to put a block on our account to stop him from taking more out. We had to go complain to the executives at their parent company Belgravia Health & Leisure, who gave us the refund themselves. Report to Belgravia if you're having issues with Steve. Unfortunately Steve is clearly very spiteful of cancellations, and as soon as you say you want to cancel, they will go against their T&C's to get as much money out of you as they can. Probably the most unprofessional businessman I've ever encountered. I have had a few friends try to cancel since, and they've been treated very similarly.

Negative experience: Place is well maintained but staff is very poor in communicating your account and payment details to you. They just know how to join you in when you are a new customer. They don't know their own policies when it comes about keeping membership on hold or terminating it. Had very bad experience at the time of termination of my membership as I ended up paying a lot of money which was not mentioned anywhere. Had to pay lot of money for termination. For me good customer service includes the level of information you communicate to your customers.

Negative experience: Don't sign up here, very inconsiderate staff who refuse to cancel my membership despite multiple requests for assistance. They continue to take out direct debit payments. Gym is dirty, water fountain often broken and my sister walked in to the childcare area to see another random mother holding her 6 month old baby without her permission? She had been allowed to hold her by the staff member present. Very unprofessional I would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Genesis is a great gym with wonderful staff and a great atmosphere. It is a real community gym and the trainers take the effort to get to know you. You never feel uncomfortable training and there is a great range of equipment. The addition of the creche (at no extra charge might I add) also makes it stand out from the rest. If your not sure what gym to join, I would highly recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Update: Have received my refund back and have updated my review solely based on the experience we had while using the facility. Assuming the cancellation issue was one off and probably due to human error, the fact that this was picked up honestly by the management and rectified promptly has definitely instilled positivity back into the overall experience at genesis. ===================================== We left the gym within the first month, duly called and confirmed nd were told the last debit will be on the 25th, since then there have been 3 fortnightly debits for me and my wife with close to $100 taken out from our accounts with no resolution. Last I spoke to Rob who assured me that this won't happen however to no avail. Save yourselves from these mobs easy to get in extremely difficult to get out.
