Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym. The gym is always clean and tidy. The staff are always friendly, Yousef is an excellent PT. And the exercise options are wide and varied. I have nothing but good things to say about this gym.

Negative experience: Genesis signed me up to a 6 month contract with no mention of its ongoing nature. No reminder or contact that my contract was nearing it's completion to save me the hundreds of dollars they have since charged me. A dishonest & contractually predatory gym that will hoodwink you with BS and then charge you out the rear end to end an ostensibly FIXED TERM contract. Avoid this place.

Negative experience: These guys suck young people in with trial memberships; fail to cancel when directed and then chase fees they claim are owed. Highly unethical.

Negative experience: Awesome gym but when asking if they could move a fan from coaching zone to the main gym area, as during peak hour it heats up and is incredibly still. I have just been informed they are going to have to increase the membership rates soon as they are going broke from the power bill.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic place to go to, nice equipment, clean, really positive vibes and the staff are really great at what they do. I had some concerning issues with the direct debit payment company debitsuccess and Lily sorted it out stress free in less than 30 minutes. My trainer Stephen is so approachable and friendly and comes up with brilliantly creative ways to increase my fitness and muscle composition, and Brenton the owner (and his dogs)is an absolute delight to chat to. Really appreciate them all.

Positive experience: Just joined for a year . Off to a rocky start though . Was supposed to have my assessment and workout routine done but the instructor got covid so flying solo at the moment. I'm sure it will work out next week . Till then I'll fake it till I make it . Update . Yes things have gotten better I just go in do my own thing .

Positive experience: Friendly environment, good classes, equipment is clean and in good condition. Great gym. What lets me down is that they feel like a telemarketing company. Constantly calling, month before membership expires, week before, day before, on the day! They hound you afterwards for ages! Send an online enquiry and you will be hounded, answer and show interest they will double effort. Messages and emails! Put me off and I have new contacts to add to my spam list. If the customer doesn't answer then it's time for an email and then LEAVE THEM ALONE.

Fantastic experience: I love the nice warm welcome every time I enter the gym, and how much knowledge the pt's have and just friendly the staff are

Negative experience: The crèche was terrible!! The lights stay dim, the toys up high on the shelf and the kids are all sat in front of the tv. I was under the impression that the tv would be used for the odd G rated movie and we stated that we didn’t want our children to watch much tv. The shows were not pre approved the kids were watching everything from random cartoons to YouTube videos of other kids playing with toys. Everytime I dropped my kids off I took some trucks off the high shelf for them and everytime I picked them up they were put back up high, no toys were out, room was dark and all the kids are watching tv for 1-2hrs straight. I could’ve just turned on the tv and worked out at home. What really ruined it for us was my child was coming home scared after things he watched the worst being buzz light year which is PG rated and not recommended for under 7yr olds let alone a 1 and 2yr old! There’s violence and death and he couldn’t sleep for a week.

Positive experience: Nice gym, although some of the equipment needs some maintenance or replacing.. it's still a great place to work out . Friendly staff. Great atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The coaching zone is a supportive environment to work out in and they accommodate all levels of fitness during the classes. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dry sauna, wet sauna, every class you can think of including yoga pilates, bar and body balance. They have a power lifting gym, a box, too much to list really. The staff are extremely helpful.

Positive experience: Great place. Friendly staff and people, even let kids of the ages of about 12 I think in with supervision and have a kindy for younger children. The only thing I would ask as is for chalk for any bars. I would also like if they had a pull up bar I did not see one of these but I may be mistaken

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome. From the efficient processing of paperwork to the full tour of the gym, and the offers of assistance at any point. The range of equipment is phenomenal, and the tv's in front of the cardio equipment make for a less onerous workout on the treadmill, bike or elliptical (or stairmaster!) Love that you can do your own workout, at your own pace, with state of the art equipment. Thanks guys - glad to be part of the Genesis family!

Negative experience: Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Contacted this place a number of times to get a call back from Rob. Always get the same thing from the girl at the reception "He's with a client. he will give you a call back" never does. Day I went to check the gym out, Rob instead of respecting our meeting time decided to book another client in, was left with the girl from the front desk that couldn't even look at me when talking to me. By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced at any gym I've ever been to or tried to sign up at.

Fantastic experience: After a long time not going to a gym, i was made to feel really welcome and comfortable here. The personal trainers are amazing and its great having all the Les Mills classes I am familiar with. Clean bathrooms with steam and sauna also a nice touch. $5 a week for full family babysitting is what makes it possible for me to go.

Fantastic experience: Gym has lots of different payment options so there’s something for everyone. a large range of equipment and different areas to suit a large variety of people. The class options are great and you can do them whenever suits you best. Staff are very friendly and always willing to help you out when they can, they never forget to say hi as well. very much recommend for anyone!

Fantastic experience: Genesis Lawnton is a 24 hr gym, manned through business hrs by motivated and helpful staff, there is be a positive, friendly and inclusive culture at the gym which really appeals to me. I am looking forward to hitting my fitness goals both here at the gym and at the pool 2 mins up the road. They are linked together which makes for exceptional value for money. Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve been to! I’ve been a member for just over a year and have never had a problem. Memberships are flexible and affordable, wide range of equipment, plenty of space and wonderful classes and staff :)

Negative experience: Ill start this on a positive. There is no other gym like this one, thankfully. These guys are all over the place before you even get past the door, like literally the door is even faulty. Give that bad boy a decent wack in the centre of it and it will open right up for you without a keytag or membership after hours. The staff have known it for years but forking out a few $$ to fix it isnt worth the safety of their members. So if someone crazy is outside trying to get in during the middle of the night just prey they stay calm and don't slam on that door. Once you pass the door the attitude of the staff really just speaks for itself. I dont know what's higher, the memeber cancellations or the staff turnover. So if a staff member does take issue with you just stay calm and give it a few months, they'll be replaced with another temporary employee. The best part about this gym is that the staff members that really dont care or lack common professionalism manage to stick around the longest minus a few good eggs. Your comfortability and happiness at this establishment is not in the best interest at all. Your wallet is. If you email them with a concern or cancellation they won't even ask about it. I left this gym in a group with other long-term members and not one of us received a message of question. Just a final payment/cancellation notice. Im going to take a solid guess that the same employee that takes care of their emails also attempts managing their social media accounts. When they post outdated information and you politely inform them that its been updated and they have it wrong, they will delete your comment and block you off their business accounts and then post an update only hours later with the information that you made them aware of. If you leave a honest review the same will happen. The PTs is probably the best thing this place has going for it. Positive experience: I was attending there as part of a DVA-sponsored rehab program. Excellent equipment. Only problem I found was noise. Very loud music. Group Trainers were very loud. There is a 'bike room' which could be used for these sessions by moving the bikes into the main exercise area. Staff were generally very good, considering we weren't members there, and basically just renting a time and space.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this gym since 2007. There have been many changes over the years, however this gym has always been awesome! Friendly, helpful staff, great facilities and great classes. Thoroughly recommended.

The staff have been super helpful, receptive and supportive during the sign up process to help alleviate some of the intimidation when first beginning your fitness journey and taking that first step. Communication has been excellent! So many different membership options, perks and challenges available to truly suit anyone. The gym itself is packed to the brim with equipment and is maintained to an incredibly high standard. I can't wait to reach my goals with the team at Genesis Lawnton!

Fantastic experience: Genesis Health and Fitness at Lawnton is a great gym. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have implemented COVID plans well. There are many different areas catering for all types for exercises. Parking is very good as well. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Came from goodlife and have to say this centre trumps all goodlife gyms I have attended. I mainly do functional training so this review is based mainly on that. The equipment, layout and price is really top notch.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member to Genesis at a Lawnton for over 4 years. I love the size and variety of spaces available to train in. They have a crèche and steam room and sauna with plenty of Classes available to attend. Their equipment is A+ and well maintained. I train 5-6 days a week and love it!

Fantastic experience: I just joined Genesis Gym after many years of being away from a gym, or any form of exercise due to body problems. I found the staff professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The gym itself is clean, huge with so much equipment there’s no waiting for machines, bathroom and locker facilities superior, and so many classes it’s hard to decide which ones to do. The air conditioning will be a big plus especially in our hot summers. I look forward to getting back to being a fitter healthier me again!

Fantastic experience: One of the best. Large area that uses the space well for equipment so you don't feel cramped in. Has all the facilities and is kept clean. Plenty of activities and classes and a space for the kids. Highly recommended, definitely bang for your buck.
