Negative experience: Disgusting. Guy in the Sauna is always there HACKING AND COUGHING everywhere without covering his mouth, I literally gag and gag... Gym is FILTHY. Staff do nothing to help with these concerns... Car park is also absurdly bad. I would not recommend here at all

Negative experience: 0 stars if I could. Your Simcox boss had debt collectors on me when I'd never even entered your gym. He signed me up for after surgery but didn't actually make it after my surgery when I was allowed to exercise, so started charging me before the right date. Next thing I have debt collectors threatening me saying I owe hundreds to this gym, which I had never stepped foot into or been shown around yet... Yes they had me pay them hundreds for their mistake. I'll never trust a Goodlife you guys really suck.

Positive experience: Been at HPGL for nearly 20 years now. I have never seen the gym look so dirty. Change rooms and showers look like they have never been cleaned. Tiles in female showers are covered in mould. The whole gym needs a deep clean. Adele

Negative experience: If anyone in management could tell the truth at GLHP it would be amazing. I have been asking for months now as to when aqua classes would be returning to the timetable. Nobody can even answer my email.. Obviously my membership isn't very valued to the crew at this gym. Not good enough. Just take your money monthly and that's it. Don't these people realise that without members they have no job. Carmel

Negative experience: I joined Goodlife holland park on the 11th of September and it has become a safe space for me. This morning I was using a weight machine when I was approached by a staff member who told me that I wasn’t allowed to wear my crocs in the gym and that I needed to wear sneakers in the gym. I have been wearing crocs since the 23rd of September as directed by my doctor due to trauma on my big toe, sneakers put too much pressure on my toe (I go to the gym daily and crocs haven’t been an issue since the 23rd). Being approached in the middle of the gym was extremely embarrassing because I felt everyone staring at me which caused me to have an anxiety attack and leave. I’m highly considering cancelling my membership because half of the time when I need customer service no one is at the front desk or when they are like this morning and I asked to pause my membership I wasn’t even asked why or anything like that. I don’t feel like I am treated like a person at this gym just a number.

Negative experience: Went for a gym trial with my friend and was appalled by the service (or lack there of) by salesman (Aran?). After signing in and hearing the standard spiel about how amazing their gym is and being asked if we were interested in “growing our bundas” we were then told to handover some form of ID/car keys to continue with the trial. This was a strange red flag, but we did so. After trialling the facilities for 30 mins my friend and I approached the receptionist to get our belongings back. We were told we had to speak with Aran again in order to do so. We said we wanted to think about our options, to which Aran responded with “what is there to think about”. He spoke in a sulky and aggressive manner, whist positioning himself in front of the door. We felt uncomfortable and like we were being pressured into a membership. Would not recommend, will be going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I regularly attend the Body Balance and Pilates classes at the Holland Park Club. I like the instructors who teach the classes, but there are only mirrors on the wall behind the stage and it is not very convenient to do exercise without additional mirrors to the right and left of the stage. You can't see what the instructor is doing and you need to look around and lose time on the exercises. Is it possible to put extra mirrors in the studio similar to Carina Heights Club for the benefit of all class participants?

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, they could add a few more different machines but overall has everything you’ll need. Sauna and steam room are really good additions. Staff are great and friendly!

Negative experience: Website details specified opening hours for ANZAC day were 9am-6pm. Arrived at 12pm and the gym was shut, no social media accounts for the branch so I was unable to see any posts regarding opening hours either. Otherwise good facilities, but bad transparency.

Positive experience: First time training here and Only used the weights area so this review is not in full retrospect of the whole gym. This gym is as basic as it gets for its weights area with a lot more variety than first glance. You will comfortably be abke to do most every exercise here which is great if ur travelling like myself and this is your closest option. The staff here are friendly and willing to help as I found when I couldn't identify the weights. As for the gym maintenance.. For the area it is in. You do not expect it to be as well organised as it is. No weights left for someone to trip on on the floor. Weights on machines mostly put away. This gym shines where the other big gyms do not. I hope people find this review helpful as I was travelling blind in here. Also I thought it's worth mentioning. Just uo the road is a group of shops and one little Cafe that makes very decent coffee.. Its what fuled my workout.

Positive experience: The facilities are great. Has pool, sauna, steam room, squash court and gym. So it’s good great facilities. But the hidden fees and charges are deceitful. Whatever you do don’t do yearly memberships here. They will make you regrets the trust you placed in them. Also, ask them to explain hidden fees for everything from the start for all things not the things you ask for. They can creative with extra charges that you never thought could possibly exist. But otherwise it’s a good gym. Staff are friendly and it’s big and has so many facilities.

Negative experience: Thougt I lost my membership card and spent $50 for a new one. Found my OLD card after I went back home. So I asked the gym for a refund. Guess what? Non-refundable. I only hold that card for one night and never used it. Because I have to wait until this morning to talke the manager about the refund(the manage didn't even bother to talk to me today.). I spent $2,000 on my personal training in last 4 months. Now I feel like I am clown. I won't spend even one single cent with this gym any more. They don't repect their customers and only want you money.

Negative experience: Actually the most disgusting management I have ever come across. Do not waste your time here. Average facility with average services. I’ve recently become physically injured and unable to use the gym, sent my doctor’s certificate stating I am in recovery for 6-12months and a time freeze on my account is no longer an option. In the contract it states if you provide a doctor’s certificate confirming physical incapacity you are able to cancel without further payment. Woke up today with no communication from management & a $1000 bill on my account. Appalling they have the nerve to do such a thing to a person experiencing financial hardship & dump this on me with no warning. Straight to the ACCC I guess.

Negative experience: The gym is average at best. Equipment was poorly maintained and the gym was not clean. I’ve read previous reviews. As a founding member forever ago, I can say the air conditioning here has always been an issue. After long periods of injury, paying fees and not using the gym, I cancelled my membership. I was okay with having to pay out the four weeks cancellation period. The thing that has led to my one-star review? On the last week, of that four weeks, they charged me the quarterly personal training fee!!! How do you use a personal trainer when membership is done? Refuse to refund it. In all the time I’ve been a member, I’ve been paying this fee and haven’t once used this service. Due to my injuries, I’ve had to use a Physio to set my gym program. So, it’s not enough that they’ve received 100s of dollars without me using the service, they had to take every last cent they could get. Lastly, when my 12 month contract was up, my weekly membership fee was increased with no communication. Overall, so poor. Will never join this gym again.

Really motivated and give lots of options for their exercise. Shout out to Jess K. Negative experience: Poor communication - nothing is coimmunicated via email, it is all via the private fb group that noone tells you exists...or in house, which is no good if you haven't been in awhile... facilities are old, cardio equipment does not get frequently cleaned - i know this as used wipes have been left in the same machine for an entire weekend... also lots of members who believe the rules don't apply to them. Reception staff are friendly.

Negative experience: Constantly messing up payments then subsequently attempting to charge late fees on errors they’ve made with their payment system. Upon calling up to sort out staff members seemed clueless to the matter and were extremely unhelpful in resolving, had to call up on 5 different occasions to be told it would be sorted out but would then find out later when I was again charged an incorrect amount that nothing had been done.

Fantastic experience: Close to home and a lot of extra facilities (pool, spa, sauna, steam room & squash courts). I use the squash courts on a regular basis (however they could do with a little TLC), but they are a great bonus. Instructors are great (special mention to Jess who is a long term favorite, she is always full of fun & energy). Staff are so helpful (special call out to Imi who always greats me with a wonderful smile, good conversation and ensures my bookings are always sorted), keep up the good work HP!

Positive experience: Been a member for about 15 years on and off (between illnesses and injury). Staff are generality friendly and helpful. Love that they are doing an in-house 12 week challenge - great value with great trainers.

Fantastic experience: My family have been members since 2018 and we love the place. Friendly and welcoming with loads of classes and equipment. No equipment downtime that I have seen in the last 4 years. Keep up the great work Goodlife!!

Negative experience: Steam room was moldy, it’s good they have a pool but I came to use the top floor (the actual gym) a large amount of equipment was broken or unable to adjust to my height cause it was it’s so old and stiff. The atmosphere in this particular goodlife was a bit still aswell :(.

Fantastic experience: Every club is different, some have good showers, some have newer machines and equipment, some only have unisex saunas, some have male and female saunas and some have no saunas - Holland Park is a good all rounder.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, got me onto a great membership. Some good equipment but gets a bit overcrowded for afternoons which is common for most gyms but sometimes hard to work around

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this gym for 5 years now. Lovely staff at front desk. Equipment and facilities are well looked after including the lap pool and sauna. The sauna at Holland Park is bigger than others I’ve been to so I felt like I was in my own space. Great gym

Fantastic experience: Great club, I joined and in 2 weeks I replaced smoking cigarettes with yoga and Pilates, I feel powerful and more confident of myself. My stress is gone and I can think clearly now. Love this club

Positive experience: Old setup and equipment but got all I need, enough parking and even a under cover area, would be 5 stars if 24hrs. Overall happy to train here even though they're dozens of newer and nicer goodlife around.

Fantastic experience: For me there are 3 things that separate gyms.. Culture Staff and Upkeep.. I can honestly say that the staff are very friendly and helpful at Holland Park. And because of this the culture is great.. This gym is also well maintained and clean.. If your looking to make a positive change but are a little unsure or maybe feel intimated I can guarantee that once you walk through the door you will be well looked after.. Everybody has to start somewhere.. Every member is there for the same reason.. Everytime you walk through the door it gets easier Start kicking goals

Negative experience: l have been a member of the Goodlife establishment for a number of years & I found myself quite humilated to be singled out and referred to by the staff "One of those" because I am medically exempt form wearing a mask. I am extremely disappointed by the staff statements & henceforth be looking a new gym.

Positive experience: Expansive facilities showing their age. This gym has numerous floor equipment, pool, squash courts, group fitness, sauna and even a day care. However the lustre wanes when you look closer at the worn finishes, the occasionally out of service sauna and piles of storage laying about the disused squash courts. Parking can also be a challenge some days.

Positive experience: Has great potential but left disappointed with the lack of maintenance at this gym. The staff are great, they talk highly about safety but falls short on action. Example is the all the Fluor lights still not fixed after months!

Negative experience: The steam room is filthy in growing bacteria/mould. Sauna smells like a fungus. Bins always over spilled. It’s been raised prior to covid, yet not addressed. Have changed gyms since. It’s a shame as we did like this location.
