Negative experience: I’ve been a loyal member of this gym for over two years, but today’s experience was completely unacceptable. While using a machine like any other member, I was spoken to in a condescending and disrespectful tone and told, “Be soft. You are banging too loud.” I pay to use the equipment and should respected and treated fairly. I wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary, just using the equipment as it’s meant to be used. I’ve seen other members make more noise without any issue, so this felt very unfair and targeted. The lack of professionalism and double standards made me feel uncomfortable, and I left immediately. This makes me uncomfortable stepping into the gym… I’ll be exploring other gyms where respect and fairness are prioritised.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, with an amazing bunch of people running this place. The owners/other staff are all incredibly kind and helpful people. They bring in their dogs (Leo is a regular and a really cute dog that loves a pat) and it feels more like a home than a gym. If you are like me and get a little anxiety at the thought of going into the "real" weights section, Alpha has cardio and weight machines at the front of the gym, along with two squat racks. You can easily complete your workout here without having to venture into the large weights section which is almost like it's own separate room at the back of the gym. It has plenty of squat racks, free weights and cables etc. I joined this gym thinking I would only be there for 6 months, but I have been a member for around two years now! The owners are really lovely caring people, the gym is clean and has good equipment, it's in a central location, what more do you want?

Fantastic experience: Great gym, super clean, great staff and what a vibe. Love working out here and supporting the local gym!

Positive experience: Decent gym, quite big and well priced. The machines are a cheaper brand than Anytime fitness use but they do the job. Could do with some more free weights benches. Also way to many heavy dumbbell, the entire bottom row is never used.

Negative experience: Not satisfied with customer service. They never consider their customers problem. Even after cancellation of subscription am being charged.

Fantastic experience: Clean and friendly gym! Been going to this gym for almost a year, I felt like it's time to give it a review. The gym is clean, the equipment and bathrooms (toilets & showers) are well managed. I see the gym staff (Daniel & Tony) cleaning and putting away equipment through out the day. There are wet wipes provided for gym members to wipe down the equipment which is a wonderful. During the day, it has good air flow via the doors and also the air-con. Feels almost like an outdoor gym, without needing the battle the elements. I had the opportunity to attend their free HIIT & Boxing HIIT classes. Easy to book and reasonable amount of time to cancel. Daniel, Brian and Celia are attentive trainers who motivates all attendees to reach their potential while also educating them on how to do each station properly to avoid injury. I love this, as someone who is recovering from past injuries, I felt less afraid to do high intensity exercise. Other bonuses: Cutie dogs welcoming you into the gym and the fruit in the kitchen / front desk area. Close to Strathfield station and shops.

Fantastic experience: Not long ago, I spent 6 months in Sydney and chose this gym with special care. I am very happy with the time and people I spent here. The staff is very helpful and for any help I needed. This is my first encounter with training without an instructor. However, everything went well because the devices are perfect and very clear with all the instructions. Cleanliness in the gym is at a very enviable level, bathrooms, changing rooms, machines, wow. It smells everywhere and in every place. Ah, yes, the special benefit of fruit at the end of training. The membership fee is very reasonable. Special thanks to Daniel, Po, Thant and other employees. Thank you once again, you are the best and I will come again

Negative experience: Don’t join this gym. So bad management. I wanted to cancel my membership by sending them gmail but they said i have to come to the gym. I have started working long hours from 6am to 9pm and have no time to go there but they refuse to cancel my membership over an email. And still my membership is pending and haven’t been there in 3 month and have to pay 110$ monthly. I can’t take a day off just to cancel my membership and their policy is i have to come their anyway and give them a notice of 1 month again. Just a stupid rules and so rude teams. Nobody should join there.

Fantastic experience: Very grateful to be at this gym. Great managers who are always super nice and fun to be around, and the other gym members are very supportive and nice. The gym equipment is very nice, it isn’t the biggest gym so their isn’t as much equipment variety as another bigger gym but got the amount of room they have it’s a good selection. The music in the gym is really nice too, good modern selection without being to in your face or “hip”. Also one of the managers/owners has a dog that lives in the gym, very good boy who loves pets and sleeping. Very good addition that always brightens my day and never bothers anyone.

Negative experience: While I appreciate the inclusive atmosphere of the gym, I believe there should be stricter regulations regarding the presence of dogs on the premises. While being dog-friendly is a commendable aspect of the gym's culture, it's imperative that dog owners exercise responsibility and consideration for other patrons. One particular Korean PT consistently brings two small dogs to the gym, and unfortunately, their presence is constantly disruptive to individuals trying to focus on their workouts. While I understand the bond between owner and pet, it's essential for dog owners to ensure that their pets do not interfere with others' experiences at the gym. Implementing guidelines to limit and control the roaming of dogs within the gym could significantly improve the overall environment. This might involve designated areas for dogs to remain during workouts or specific times when dogs are permitted on the premises.

Fantastic experience: It is a very different gym from those I have visited in some parts of the world, what makes it different? They allow you to bring your pet and have it with us during our training. Their multicultural staff guides you in a very friendly way, which is why I recommend this gym for all those looking for a new gym in the Strathfield area.

Fantastic experience: Gym is very clean, open, good lighting, well placed mirrors with a variety of well maintained machines. I love the environment of instructors in the gym willing to help you out. Daniel has been a lot of help to me from adjusting my contract without issue to replacing my key fob when I lost it. Would highly recommend this gym to my friends or family looking for a gym.

I wanted to give it 4 stars due to music not my favorite, too many motor sport videos and videos not showing during weekend, but when they replaced the proximity entry key free of charge, I had no choice but to give them 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: I would like to firstly apologize if anybody saw my previous review which was out of resentment and anger. The owner is an extremely understanding guy. He personally called me to resolve my contract issue with the gym and explained patiently( despite me talking rudely at first) how it happened and the length he went to for resolving this issue was absolutely fantastic. I was a hater but now I can say this is the very best gym you can go to and I'm assured that they will go above and beyond for every person to join their facility.

Fantastic experience: Called for a casual pass and Daniel was so extremely accommodating. Nothing was too much of a hassle for him. The customer service, facilities and vibe of the gym was incredible. Will be back. Wish it was our local. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: A clean and well organised gym with good vibes and friendly staff. Very close to train station, shopping centre and restaurants (post-workout carbs for muscle gain?). Also offering yoga, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, HIIT classes etc for all age groups.

Negative experience: Absurd contract!! Please don’t join this gym!I havent seen any contract like this have. Contract is different than other contracts that Australian have. They have their own contract. Do not !join this gym! If you want flexible plan!!If you guys are joining this gym make sure that you give them notice of one month before your contract finish instead of them giving you the notice which is their responsibility. Fantastic experience: My experience at Alpha Team Fitness Gym was fantastic! Was warmly welcomed by Tony and the team. The gym felt welcoming, no egos, no "heroes", the equipment range and quality were second to none. My biggest Pro for the gym was that everyone respected each other by packing away their gear and cleaning their areas after finishing. I highly recommend Alpha Gym, if you're looking for a high value, state of the art, friendly team cultured and hygienic gym, then look no further.

Fantastic experience: The gym is clean, well-equipped, has a friendly environment and is only a few mins away from the Strathfield station. It's usually crowded in the evenings around 6 PM. Other than that, it's really an excellent choice for a gym.

Fantastic experience: An independently operated gym that is well priced right and run by a team of professional and friendly staff/trainers. The gym is suitable for male/female, young/old and all body shapes/sizes. It's how a gym should be. Well done

Fantastic experience: I remember when this gym was brand new and it has kept up its standard over the years. I see the staff cleaning and keeping the equipment and weights tidy all the time. I also enjoy the positive and supportive environment created by the trainers and the atmosphere encourages me to work hard. I bring my son for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes and the instructors love the kids. Everyone has fun, get a good workout and learn both basic and more advanced techniques. I would recommend this gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I've ever been to (no lie). I've been to multiple other gyms, but none have been as good as Alpha. The staff are all super friendly, and most importantly the gym is clean and the temperature is always spot on (other gyms in the past have been so stuffy and hot). Even for super socially awkward and shy people like me, you'll get used to the atmosphere really quickly and feel at home

Best part of this gym would be the welcoming and respectful community. Staff are professional and passionate about fitness. Members are friendly and supportive; no super-apex-bro-do-you-even-lift?-self-appointed-alpha-(fe)males here. Great for anyone and everyone, wherever you are at with your fitness journey!

Fantastic experience: Alpha gym is nested in a convenient location, with friendly staff and loads of gym equipment (without the gym feeling cramped). BJJ: Firstly, you can upgrade your standard gym membership (access to normal gym and unlimited for non-BJJ classes such as yoga and HIIT circuit) to a BJJ membership (option to choose from 2 classes a week or unlimited). Prices are generally reasonable for the package that you get so pick whatever suits you. In terms of the actual classes, you know they are good when demand is so high they have to open up more classes! The coaches Nam and Ash are both very knowledgeable. The curriculum is well designed and explained such that you don’t forget all the techniques by the next class. The cohort of BJJ students are also a friendly bunch. As a female that practises BJJ, I find the classes a good balance between comfort and challenge. Thanh (who manages the BJJ memberships) is very approachable and helps ensure that new joiners are not lost. His side gig is being the class photographer (free Instagram stories to repost is always a plus!) Gym space: There are at least 5 squat racks, rows of different cardio machines, a dedicated hip thrust equipment, multiple sets of dumbbells, resistance bands and a space for stretching. There are also loads of mirrors for your progress pics. The gym is well-ventilated so it doesn’t smell like gym sweat when you walk in. Other amenities: They have the cleanest gym toilets I have EVER been in so you can tell they clean it daily, if not more often. There are also other amenities such as a vending machine for your pre/post-workout pick-me-ups, and partnership with a meal prep company so you can pick it up easily after your workout (although I’m still waiting for more vegan options). Star attraction: I can’t finish this review without mentioning the adorable dogs who are regulars at the gym and who never fail to attract the attention of all the gals and guys.

Fantastic experience: Cleanest, friendliest and the most well-equipped gym I've ever been to. Bathrooms and equipments are always in immaculate conditions; staffs (including the lovely resident Staffy, Leo) never fail to greet whenever members step foot into the gym (if you're lucky, Leo will even come up to you beckoning for a pat!) and are always helpful. All thumbs and toes up!
