Negative experience: Great facilities but 3 stars lost for a bad experience and unhelpful staff. Paid entry for my kid and I to use the pool, got a wristband, then upon entering the entire children's area was closed. The remaining pools were packed. One lane designated for about 50 kids and the rest allocated to swimming classes and lap swimmers. No warning that the kids pool was closed and a staff member said we could "try and get a refund". Ended up waiting nearly an hour for it to open. Then my kid got kicked off the slide because apparently he had the wrong colour wristband. Was told to leave and go pay again. And to top it off there were other kids pushing and practically jumping on top of my child in the pool and the lifeguards watched and did nothing. Everyone working there that day was young, unfriendly and seemed to hate being there.

Negative experience: Never come back again as we had a bad experience, poor customer service there yesterday evening as their staff requested me to pay $3 for a watching ticket although I confirmed that I was not swimming, just waited for my son and my husband but still request me this unreasonable fee. That's very funny ticket, 3$ is a small amount but the way earns money from customers is very poor. We've never paid this fee before as my son and my husband went to there for casual swimming, not a member of their swimming class, so just paid casual tickets for my son and my husband as normal before that. Meanwhile my friend who came after me few mins, they weren't requested the silly fee.

Negative experience: This place attracts some of the laziest people who pay money to get fit. Gym members frequently park in the daycare parking spots so they can be closer to the CISAC entrance which are supposed to be for parents so they can drop off and pick up their children. When politely pointing out to gym patrons parked in the daycare spots at 6:45am that it’s for parents who have children attending the daycare centre (it’s also signed accordingly) they get quite angry and seem to think the daycare opens at 7:00am - despite the large sign outside the daycare stating it opens at 6:30am. There is no shortage of car parks at CISAC for gym patrons! There is a large car park at the back, people are just too lazy to use it. We have spoken with CISAC staff on numerous occasions about the car parking issues, especially about the people parking in the no stopping areas on the roundabout which blocks visibility however, it falls on deaf ears as they don’t own the car park and refuse to take any responsibility for it. One would think if your line of sight is blocked by a parked car you would proceed with caution when entering a roundabout and are required to give way. After almost being cleaned up by a car just the other day not even slowing down to assess what’s coming and have a clear line of sight that’s obviously not the case.

Negative experience: Came for a casual swim. $40 for two adults and two children (kids used the slide). This coated an extra for both children. We we're stuck in the kids pool area, as lessons were happening. The laned area was unheated so a no go in winter. I wouldn't mind coming and sitting in the kids area with the kids, but charging that amount of money is ridiculous. If you have lessons, lower the entry fee. We didn't get to swim. Then wanted to sit in the spa and were told that was extra too. Been to many pools. Not a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a platinum member at CISAC in Belconnen for over 3 years. I do classes in Club Pink, Club Lime and the Pool. Classes have a mix of clientele in terms of age, body shape and fitness level. It might take you a few visits to find classes and trainers you like, but don’t give up with the number of classes on offer you will find something. I am 50+ and my cardiologist recently said he is going to have to send all his patients to Emma she is very motivational.

Negative experience: Bad administration and customer service. Doesn’t listen to feedback. Does not investigate problems properly and don’t answer the phones. Make people fill out paperwork multiple times because they can’t enter data correctly. Know this because they used the same paperwork for both my children’s records and only one child’s account payments bounced despite good account balance. Then they insisted I redo the paperwork for the one child when they already had all the info on file.

Positive experience: Cafe: I haven’t been a while and wasn’t expecting much from the cafe. But bought some chips and burgers as the kids were ravenous after their swim. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only were the chips freshly cooked and tasty and not soggy, the burgers were delicious. Both teens ate the burger and all the chips without complaint. My burger - chicken and BLT - was really yummy. Whatever they put on the chicken was outstanding. Well worth the $. A good menu with plenty options including vegetarian. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: After a long day nothing better than a swimming session, steam and spa. The place is big and even when it’s lots of kids around, we have a private space to relax. I do my hydrotherapy in the hot water, exfoliating my skin and the staff members are very friendly.

Negative experience: They make it extremely challenging to enrol in swimming lessons. Had an assessment and asked to enrol my child. Was told I couldn’t enrol her and had to wait until the next term. Waited a couple of months and saw vacancies in the lessons on their website and reached out again via email to enrol. It took 2 weeks to get a response and now that I have replied to their question no further response. Have tried calling but no one answers the phone. EDIT: I’ve given up trying to enrol here. They just don’t respond.

Negative experience: Well apparently the government owns the car park, there is a lot of cars parked illegally just so they can be lazy and walk a short distance to go to the gym and be fit lol We might have to organise some parking officers to come through. I’ve just added some frequent flyers that should get some attention with their reading. Just some constructive criticism.

Fantastic experience: 2023: Good place, I use gym, supplements shop, pool and steam room / spa facilities. Club lime seems to be running it all, they do a fine job, much nicer gym business than others I've seen around the place. Gym is huge and has heaps to do no matter your training level. Supplements store is tiny bit basic, but has what you will probably need. Pool spa and steam room are great, never too crowded, feels safe and relaxing.

Positive experience: Absolutely dreadful website - impossible to find out basic information such as when the pool is open for swimming, and phone isn’t answered by anyone (you just get “on-hold musak”, no info about office hours etc)

Negative experience: Went to the pool today for my kid to practice for swim carnival all lanes were being used in the big pool than got told only 1 lane is open while the rest of the pool area had swim lessons than get charged $7.50 for entry when you can’t Evan use the whole facility very disappointing

Negative experience: I am not happy that I paid 3 months membership from January to March without being told the pool was closed most of February and March for 6 hours a day due to swimming carnivals.

Positive experience: Facilities are good - they seem to just have one small area for kids because they're short on staff to open the large round kids pool? Slides great but lap pools are also slim pickings in the afternoon and the public lanes seem to have half a dozen swimmers vs the swim class lanes who might be lucky to have 1 swimmer. Should be a few more public lanes ALL day long. The price is very steep. 1 adult and my 2 year old for $18... its a bit rich!

Fantastic experience: Afternoon swim! Enjoyed a lovely swim with the family today at the Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre. A great swim with a slide for the kids, whirlpool, spa, sauna, and lap pools for me, we loved it all. The condition of all equipment, including showers were great considering other simular centres. My only concern with this pool is the humidity inside, its good to be warm but can feel dehydrating, bring water to hydrate. As a family we love swimming and i would recommend to any family. Follow-up to this review still a great place to swim, got a bit busy today and felt like you had no space for yourself. Further follow-up, pool much the same bit of a bother that no lap pools are heated.

Negative experience: I travel all year round for work and swim everywhere I can. $9.80 for a general entry swim and $4 for parking. Disgrace. I would have given it one star but the showers were excellent.
Negative experience: Every time I call customer service, they put me on hold for more than half an hour, and then no one responds. A parking discount must be provided for those who register for swimming lessons.

Negative experience: Slide was closed for ‘maintenance’ all during the school holidays, they said it would take ‘weeks’ to repair…. (no maintenance work should take more than a day or two)… they’re just not prioritising it.

Positive experience: I often go as I train and coach various teams there. I find hat they use a little too much chlorine for comfort (can really hurt your eyes if your not used to it) , and it can be a bit dirty. However, for the most part the staff are friendly and helpful and the pools conditions are pretty consistent.

Negative experience: I signed up for 3 weeks free but as soon as I finished signing up, they charged me $64 and upon calling, I was told it is for pro-rata as the 3rd, 4th and 5th weeks are free and we still have to pay for 1st and 2nd week. I mean seriously. why advertise so loud that it is $0 joining fee, no lock in contracts etc. Apparently it is written in 'Terms and conditions' which is printed in font '4'. But I could cancel it they said within 7 days of cooling off period. I agreed and asked them to cancel. They cancelled by charged me $50 admin fee?? Apparently it is also mentioned in 'terms and conditions'. I visited the staff at CISAC Belconnen and met with the most rude and unprofessional gym manager - Nikki Kaur. She kept on insisting that we must and must ready terms and conditions because it has all the information. I asked where is $50 mentioned. surprise ... surprise.... not mentioned anywhere. just says admin fee. now she has no answer and said speak to the person that cancelled the membership.. ended up with a loud heated argument. but Nikki is amazingly rude thick skin full of unprofessionalism. I feel sorry for the staff that work under/alongside her to deal with all this. It is a shame that we Canberrans are robbed off other gym facilities as CISAC is bullying and taking over every single small gym around the area. that really leaves us with limited choices. Really sad that big companies swallow small businesses and enjoy the monopoly.
Negative experience: Staff looking at the pool near the end of the day was extremely aggressive. They were laughing at kids and didn’t even look after the children. Overall, I had a bad experience.
Negative experience: One of the workers with orange curly hair and glasses, lifeguard with blonde bun was making racist gestures towards my friends. Such as squinting their eyes and laughing at my friends. It was a terrible experience and I definitely never want to experience this ever again. I was absolutely disgusted at their racist behaviour.
Negative experience: I was charged for two memberships for cisac for over a year. I tried multiple times to cancel the second. The staff refused to refund me the over $1000 they charged me over this time for the second membership. Also the facilities are unclean and the staff are rude and unhelpful. The management only cares about making as much money as they can not their customers. Also good luck calling them for help you will have to wait on hold for atleast half an hour.
Positive experience: The pool area is fine, but the reception staff are just clueless and don't know whats going on. As an example, I ask the receptionist if the spa was a member only area and they told me it wasn't, I go in it to find out from a life guard it was. Lanes in the main pool could be closed and they have no idea, you only find out once you've paid and gone in. The reception staff need either more training or to be more aware of what's actually going on.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff! Close to Belconnen mall and Ginninderra lake. They have a large pool with water slides the kids love.
Negative experience: Very unfriendly staff. What looked like the reception manager girl made rude comments to me and my Chinese friends on approaching desk that there is covid in Australia and we need to read and follow the rules or get kicked out. We looked at each other and were about to walk out. Shocking treatment, customer service has definitely gone down even though the renovation was going on.

Negative experience: Today we came for a swim and have been standing in the foyer for over an hour to be let in. They told us 15 mins , but then kept letting water polo spectators in before those waiting in the queue. So many angry people waited over an hour with their kids and then finally left.

Fantastic experience: Great staff. Great facilities. Did wish the canteen stayed open a tad longer. They have one of the best burgers in Canberra too. I was surprised that for a take away place with such a small amount of tables to eat at, had such a great tasting burger and chips. Parking has become a real issue during peak times, so we moved to AIS instead... Really need to fine those idiot drivers parking at the round about blocking drivers' views.

Negative experience: Facilties are OK but they could really use some sort of express lane/system for people who just need to swipe in. Not uncommon to get stuck behind someone signing up for a membership or lessons etc. and have to wait 10+ minutes when all I need to do is swipe my pass. Could also use a more refined booking system for the Covid period. Can be quite frustrating not knowing if you can even get into the facilities until you have actually arrived. An online system where you can book ahead would be much more useful.

Positive experience: Pool much improved with previous renovations and more done while shut for covi19.
Fantastic experience: Management have used the Covid-19 shutdown wisely and have renovated both the gym and pool facilities. I use both, but feel the biggest improvement is in the pool. Much improved walking area and much clearer lane markings. I recommend you give CISAC a visit the next time you feel like a workout or swim, they have classes in both facilities. All this matches in very well with the newly renovated change room facilities.
Fantastic experience: Everything exercise related under one roof for your convenience. Indoor swimming next to the biggest gym I've personally seen is such a fantastic luxury.

Negative experience: Just joined. My immediate observations are that the place is dirty. Everything is dirty. The dispensers for sanitiser are empty. Staff are rude and racist. Exercise equipment is unavailable as it's broken. I didn't try the water facilities.
Fantastic experience: I am a member of club Pink and one of the perks I get is access to the spa and sauna every time I go for a visit. Friendly staff and always willing to help. :)

Positive experience: It is a great facility. However the pool area was filthy. The tiles were very grubby around the pool area and the fake plants need seriously dusting. I had to wipe down the seats before i sat on them as they were dirty. Good news though, the toilets were clean and ample toilet paper and staff were professional and attentive.
Positive experience: Kids pool is great. Fountains, jets, a round area for whirlpools and a shallow bubble area for very young ones. Joins the lap pool so good for teaching kids how to swim in between fun in the kid area

Negative experience: Used the hydro pool today for medical rehabilitation. The water was not the 32 degrees it is suppose to be. Reported this to the 3 women gossiping at the front desk, who responded 'we know, there is work going on' well Ladies I am paying for a service. Management please review this situation.
Positive experience: Not the best swimming pool I've been to, but the staff is friendly and the facilities are adequate. The cleanliness of the change rooms could do improving quite a bit, as well as a remodeling (I've been going to this pool since I was a kid and the change rooms are still the same and have quite a few miles on them). But there should be a warning to people who want to swim at night during the week that there are classes on and you won't be able to swim just about anywhere, so either swim before 5 or after 7-8, because the noise of the classes is sometimes unbearable if you are looking for a relaxing swim.
Positive experience: Take my kids here for the school holiday swimming program. My kids LOVE it. They also love the slide and the water gym/floating obstacle course. It's great to be out of the sun too. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is easy ($2 got me almost 2 hours!) Chlorine levels are a bit high and the place could be cleaned a little more around the gardens etc... but overall, I would definitely recommend it... especially as a kid friendly swimming venue.
Positive experience: Kid friendly set up. All indoors with water slide (extra cost), circulating water pool, water play bubblers/fountains and shallow swimming area. Would give 5 stars aside from very high chlorine levels. I do understand that keeping the water germ free is important but the water also needs to be pleasant to swim in.

Positive experience: Short line to get into the pool. I went up to the far end of the 50m pool and there was only 1 other person in that pay of the water, so plenty of room to spread out at 11am.
Negative experience: I enrolled my daughter on a swimming lesson, for some weeks they have been deducting more than what i should pay good thing i have checked my account. My friend’s swimming classmate has withdrawn from the swimming lesson due to instructor issue. Staffs are mean and rude. I went for an emergency holiday, and i cancelled the swimming lesson they but dont want me to refund my money. Good on yah! Cisac belconnen, business is business!!! I will never ever enrolled my daughter in your facility anymore. Wont recommend this!!
