Negative experience: I joined for a 10 week challenge and couldn’t make it up for 10 weeks, but after 10 weeks they are deducting 17$ every week saying that I had to go through a cancellation process for one month so the total of 80$ is gone in water. No use of joining these guys !!! I assume they don’t know the meaning of challenge and that’s sad. If the challenge fails, the commitment has to end there.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate the gym for its cleanliness and the inviting atmosphere it provides, particularly as a parent. I commend the individual responsible for the maintenance of the facility. The staff members exhibit a high level of professionalism, and I had the opportunity to meet the owner, who also demonstrated professionalism and politeness. Additionally, Saha from the reception was exceptionally helpful and professional. Keep it up ❤️

Fantastic experience: mates gym is the best gym I've ever tried so far...

Negative experience: The equipment is good however it’s the hygiene which is the main problem at the gym. There is supposed to be cleaners but if you go into the bathroom it is so disgusting and dirty every single time I go there I now try to avoid., can provide photos. Another thing is there is so much Indian music being played and that gets boring for other member who do not understand what the song is saying and isn’t motivational. All staff are good except the big coach who wears glasses he is rude and will laugh along with these two guys who stare and laugh at everyone. To get your work out done it’s good but for overall experience it’s not a good gym.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Mates Gym for over two weeks now, and it’s hands down the best gym I’ve experienced! The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help with guidance and motivation. The equipment is top-notch, well-maintained, and there’s a great variety to suit all fitness levels. Right now, I’m taking part in their 10-week challenge, and it’s been an incredible experience so far. The program is well-structured, challenging, and really keeps you accountable to your goals. Negative experience: Mates Gym operates under false pretenses, promising top-notch facilities and services but delivering nothing but disappointment and financial exploitation. Avoid this establishment at all costs, unless you enjoy being scammed.

Negative experience: Mates gym is the worst gym I have ever seen, no transparency and don't meet the standards. I was on a open contract so that I can quit any time due to work commitments. I paid extra weekly than the normal membership to keep this an open contract. I cancelled the membership recently and they have advised to pay the notice period, then what is the difference between normal membership and open contract. If anyone thinking to join this gym it is better to rethink however no problem join them but you will experience it as I do down the track and will quit. I was never explained about the notice period if that had been the case I would never have joined the gym. I made it clear in my initial discussion that I am ready to pay extra to keep that open, you guys don't let the customer read the terms and conditions and try to get the contract signed off on the spot and never let them think. If a consumer thinks they will not sign. I now understand the agenda behind your intentions.

Negative experience: They consistently ring you on a weekly basis after telling them know you're not interested in a membership after just making an enquiry and consistently call you to ask when do you want to come in for a fitness review

Negative experience: Been a member here for a few months now & all I have experienced is dirty tissues left all over the floor & equipment , juice bottles left on the floor , gym equipment left all over the place , dirty bathrooms ect . Multiple times have witnessed other members tail gate their friends in for a week in a row before agam approached them . Supposed to have cleaners here . They need to do a better job . Apart from that it’s a good gym .

Negative experience: Mate’s Gym Mount Druitt is the worst!! Horrible service and absolutely ridiculous cancellation policy!! I have been sending email as to when my membership expires but the support staff never bothers telling me that after the expiration date, they will continue to charge you unless you requested in writing that you would like to cancel, and after that you will need to wait another 28 days before they will stop taking your money. Please be warn about this!!! ITS A BIG RIP OFF AND SCAM!!! DON’T JOIN THIS SCAM!!!

Negative experience: ***DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE A SCAM OF A GYM*** They are extortionists and the owner does nothing but try and scam people out of money they already not legally entitled to. We signed up on Monday 21/08/23. After an intial consultation on Wednesday 23/08, my partner and i decided that the gym did not offer the services we felt were necessary for our family, which included our 2 teenage children (15 & 17) and my elderly Mother-In-Law. I officially cancelled our membership during the cooling off period (which in NSW is 7 Days) by sending an email to state we (5x members) have decided to cancel on Saturday 26/08/23, and then also had a conversation with the owner of the gym on the 28/08/23, to which I sent another email on the same day to reiterate the cancellation email and that we officially request cancellation as of 26/08. When i signed my family up, I paid $295 upfront in "access pass fees" (which is nothing more than an App you download with a QR code, but apparently that costs $59 pp.) Weconceded to Aggam, the owner of Gym Mates during our telephone discussion on 28/08 that the gym could keep the $295. My partner and I believed that its not worth pursuing the refund, and was given assurances by both the owner on the phone, and then, again when I called on the 08/09 due to the gym trying to withdraw the gym membership fees from my account, a literal guarantee by another employee on the phone that all 5 Memberships were cancelled. Meanwhile, they Gym has attempted over the last 3 weeks to withdraw >$400 out of my account in supposed membership fees on MULTIPLE occassions each week, has had their accounts team send emails to my MIL, threatening to pursue collections and defaulting her credit report and even tried collecting monies from my daughter, who is under 18. Aggam, the owner of the gym, is a snake oil salesman who wants to shake your hand and be friends with tou when signing you up and constantly tries to upsell you, but will not return calls when he needs to explain why his staff are using underhanded tactics to try and extort money out of people, including calling a minor (which is illegal) to try and collect money, which again, we don't owe. Furthermore, they just sent me tonight, as I write this review, cancellation forms dated TODAY (11/09/2023), upgraded our membership levels to a "Diamond Membership" (when we had agreed to a standard membership with a reduced cost that the owner offered on his own accord to lure us in of which I also have SMS proof of the quoted fees per week), and stating the reason for cancellation on every membership cancellation form being "MEMBER BANKRUPT" which is completely false - I am not bankrupt, nor ever have been, but rather putting these reasons on paper as a way to cover up their deceit. I have been calling for 3 weeks trying to get assurances and even been given verbal assurances/guarantees that our membership has been cancelled, in fact the employee who guaranteed me that the Memberships had been cancelled, stated on the phone that "if those Membership fees had been withdrawn, that they would have been refunded." LIARS Do yourself a favour and go to any off the other gyms in the area. At least you'll know EXACTLY where you stand.

Fantastic experience: 3rd day in and I dont think I'd go anywhere else! The people are great best part about it, you can even bring your kids! For the Mamas out there who wanna look good and all but don't have a sitter, easy take them to the gym with you (become a member first of course ). Anyways in all honesty, they cater to all even the first timers who have never stepped foot in a gym before ‍♀️

Fantastic experience: I tried their gym and was assisted by this handsome guy who assessed me and gave insight to my current body health status. I love their female only area. I registered with this gym because of it. I get to wear cute workout clothes and won't be anxious of getting catcalled or harassed. I also saw the dancing studio, I'm too shy to ask now but after a few sessions, I'll ask and register myself to the Bollywood dance zumba. I'm not sure what it was called but as a Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor fan (so handsome), I get excited to see that they also offer those here. I'm not sure if any gyms has this but their services and programs are so fun and enjoyable. I'm loving my stay so far.

Negative experience: Worst gym environment and customer service. Unprofessional staff. They will promise you many things before you sign up and won’t even return your call, once you signed up. Also beware to read your contract carefully and get everything they promise in writing otherwise later they disregard everything and also sign you up on different contact from what you have discussed.

Negative experience: First signed up to the gym before it even opened, asked them if it was a contract all 3 representatives said no. Fast forward find out its a contract have to either pay half of the total contract fees that are left and cancel on the spot or just live out the contract until it ends, got blatantly lied to, be careful signing up to this gym. Edit: Nah I’m not going to reveal my name to you, but it’s important everyone understands it wasn’t a misunderstanding like you make it out to be, even other people I know had been told it wasn’t a contract then it suddenly was revealed to us it was, maybe try con your members another day.

Negative experience: Bathrooms are disgusting and smells horrible. They also charged me $55 for missing one week of payment and staff are always rude and very racist. Have very minimal workout stations and not enough machines per person. Would not recommend at all and you cannot cancel your membership once you join. Would rate 0 stars if i could.

Negative experience: Make sure guys you read the agreement properly. I signed up few months ago for a year. And for some reason we moved from sydney to perth and we asked them to take all the membership payment, but cancel the weekly one. But, they said we cannot cancel and it's mandatory to pay for six months whether you go to the gym or not. I think that's not humanity.

Fantastic experience: I am member from last 2 months now. Everything is good except lack of air freshers around the place, especially cardio/treadmill section. Some members have real body odour issue and few times we had to leave due to that. I urge management to seriously address this issue!! Otherwise all is well.
