Welcome to the Sydney Gymnastic and Aquatic Centre (SGAC), a premier facility dedicated to providing exceptional gymnastics and swimming experiences. Our center is well-known for its world-class amenities, featuring clean facilities and a delightful café that offers a variety of snacks.
Our staff are highly praised for their friendliness and dedication to customer service. Many visitors have appreciated the helpfulness of team members, particularly during classes and lessons. Parents and children alike enjoy the supportive coaching and proficiency of the instructors, contributing to a positive learning environment.
However, there have been some concerns regarding customer service experiences, especially at the front desk. A number of users have reported inconsistent communication and less-than-friendly interactions with staff members. We take these comments seriously and are working on improving our training to enhance the experience at the reception.
Overall, SGAC is a fantastic place for both gymnastics and swimming, providing a heartfelt community atmosphere complemented by quality facilities. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Negative experience: Honestly coming pass more then 2 years The girl in reception area her name Jadem I think she's so rude zero customer service why the so rude I work in retail too doesn't know how to talk with customers and she's the supervisor no knowledge because of that taking out both my boys from the swimming shame on you.

Negative experience: Highly inefficient management and customer service. The customer staff are inconsiderate and the management does not care about anything apart from minting money. Recent system change has been extremely frustrating and the customer service staff has just added further to the misery. I don’t even want to give it a single star rightnow!
Negative experience: Very disappointed with the center and couldn't book the make-up class from the previous platform which is ridiculous. The center changed the money for not providing the service.
Negative experience: Interactions with the front desk have consistently been disappointing and unsettling. Few of them are good but a lady sitting in the front desk at the corner today was terrible and with lack of empathy. Management should invest in training to ensure the front desk staff have the necessary skills, awareness, and understanding of customer service. No customer should feel belittled. The pool, other services, and training staff deserve more than five stars. However, the front desk diminishes that excellence.

Fantastic experience: World class facilities, lovely coaches, friendly gymnasts. Once the wait is over after booking in for a trial, you're made to feel very welcomed.
Fantastic experience: I take my son to SGAC for swimming lessons, can highly recommend. A special shout out to Jack & Bree who are amazing with the children. Negative experience: Grrrr.... Can't work the stupid members portal to cancel and organise the classes, staff can't do it for you over the phone.... All they can do is talk you through it over the phone, too bad if you arent in a situation where you can sit, listen and go through the steps to do it yourself . And if you don't cancel in time then you can forget about a make up lesson and say goodbye to your money. There has to be a more simple way. The website and also members portal is to hard to navigate.... And to get their reviews up they are offering a free scoop of gelatissimo during Easter. Well, Im not changing my review like last time so I guess my girls won't be getting a free scoop. We have recently left swimming lessons in sgac I made a review previously basically saying life guards were standing around chatting with each other rather than watching the pool, I received a call about my review and I was told that they were discussing proceedures, which I thought should have taken place before they went on duty which makes more sense to safety, but I removed my review anyways couple weeks after that my daughter went up a class in swimming lessons and now found herself in a deeper part of the pool in which she couldn't stand. The instructor sent her from one side to swim to the other side but for some reason my daughter stopped in the middle and could not reach the bottom. The instructor turned to face the other students and for a brief moment did not notice that my daughter had stopped and found herself in a bit of trouble, I looked at the lifeguards to see if they were watching and to no surprise they were standing there chatting and hadn't noticed a thing. I was so angry at myself for removing my first review and the fact that it had fallen on deaf ears that I removed my children from this swim school. The instructor did turn and did help my daughter to the other side but it doesn't take long for bad things to happen. I once again spoke to one of the persons standing around the pool that day but still it made no difference as she told me that she would report it and as they make you attend for a further 2 weeks after cancellation, I seen no changes or improvements. So I stand by my original review which I had deleted about this swim school being overcrowded, money grabbing and staff being paid to stand around and do nothing or walk around acting of great importance. Also, The change rooms are so overcrowded after lessons and I don't understand why they don't stagger the classes to finish at different times to allow more space in change rooms and amenities to be shared appropriately amongst members because as it was, some parents were throwing a towel over their children and just going to their cars and I can understand why. it used to be almost impossible to call reception and get someone on the phone. Hopefully they have made improvements since we left.
Fantastic experience: I've never had a bad experience coming here for my weekly swim or my son's swimming lesson. The girls at the counter are always happy, welcoming and able to answer any silly questions I need help with.
Fantastic experience: We absolutely love this swim school & everything it has to offer the staff are amazing Serenel has helped us from the very start with fixing our classes to adapt to our busy schedule and always welcoming us with a happy smile & always makint sure our kids are happy, they scream her name everytime we walk in with big smile We are so happy here, thank you for making swimming enjoyable for our kids

Negative experience: I was happy when we joined . But after 1 month there was a new trainer every alternate week . Wrote email several times but no luck . Once my child was sitting outside the pool for while class and just playing and the reason they gave was " sorry , someone vomited in the main pool and we shifted the class to other one but water is too cold " like really that's what they said. I am very disappointed from last 2 months .

Negative experience: Are your counter staff trained? When I asked them questions, they told me to check online. When I asked what time the classes were from Monday to Friday, your counter staff said they were all full. I checked online and found that there were classes every day. Positive experience: I go here for Adult swimming lessons. I dont mind it, I’ve had a few instructors, I find the younger ones are better as they aren’t pushy. One of the comments here states the repetitive classes they teach, while it’s true, it is also a necessity to move to the next level as students are being taught specific skills for the level they are doing. The customer service as others have mentioned can be quite bad, I myself, try not to engage with reception unless I really need to as they are not very friendly. Each to their own, I’d say.
Negative experience: First time I've visited, worst experience ever. I have walked into the centre for the first time with my kid with a casual pass for swim. Once we had the pass, we just walked into the pool area and we were not been informed at the counter to wait or proceed, etc, whatsoever-majority aquatic places do not have a rule to wait until the next lap or timer etc..you just pay and get into the pool and kids can have fun time. My kid was talking to me before entering into the pool, we were just standing at the pool area (outside of pool). It was not even 10 seconds we entered, a lady staff in her 50's or above who was in the pool, name "ALISON" short hair, started screaming on us for no reason. It was saturday afternoon, moreover we were not been informed what to to do after handing the pass to us. All she wants to convey was not enter into the pool before 1pm. I dont still understand why she need to scream with big mouth and opening eyes like deer eyes?? People around were looking. It's absolutely insulting. I've informed to the receptionist lady and the guy who was supervising the pool area at that time. For a minute, I was shocked and I didn't get why she was screaming on us?? Big MOUTH/aggressive appearance/arrogant looks...shame on you "Alison" if you ever read this..have some respect and know how to treat people..commit to your work. I will never ever turn around to your centre and would not recommend any of my family or friends. Heaps of places around are providing outstanding services. I don't know what action will be taken on her behaviour..but this is my feedback to the management...to improve staff's attitude towards public...and we are paying for services..it is not a free service you are giving away.

Negative experience: The front desk is very rude and their systems are not at all aligned to assist the user. I was not able to book makeup classes as the dashboard did not show any upcoming classes. I am out of pocket for $80 because of their system issues and the front desk says now you can not do anything about it. Not a happy customer at all.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic facilities and teachers. My 3 children attend swimming & gymnastics. Front desk staff are always helpful, especially Vanessa who took time to thoroughly explain gymnastics classes as my daughter wants to further improve her abilities and is really enjoying the program.

Positive experience: High international standard of gymnastics center, staff are very welcoming and helpfull. Good quality apparatuses, clean and krganized facility. The only thing I want to ask is to engaged more with adult classes, we need almost daily training. Thanx

Negative experience: The lady at the reception just wants to keep arguing that they have given me a white loyalty card when in fact they have not because they have run out of cards when my son joined his swimming class. She just kept going on and on telling me how I already have a card. I have told her 5 times but instead of being helpful to members, she just want to be argumentative. What do I have to gain for a white card to actually lie about it? Seriously. The swimming teachers are great, could have given this review 5 stars. Reception needs better customer service training.

Fantastic experience: My 2 boys have been coming to this club for years. It’s fantastic!!! Both swimming and gymnastics!! Staff are approachable and always happy to help. There coaches have helped them grow physically, mentally, and emotionally. Highly recommend sgac to everyone!!!

Negative experience: You have a competition running tomorrow SAT 15-12-23, with no information whatsoever in your website! We don't even know what time to show up! Your staff knows nothing at all of the event! worse u try calling on your contact number and the number eventually hangs up! Geeee

Negative experience: Very poor coaching of swimming especially. SGAC looks fancy and great by looks but not good at teaching and the supervisor purposely refusing to talk on performance of the kid and the steps taken to improve. Despite asking multiple times to focus on the talent lagging they teach the same thing again and again. For name sake you want to put your kid for swimming you can join them otherwise step away. Sent multiple emails still no improvement. Absolutely negligence I wonder with that attitude it's unsafe to send your kids there.

Negative experience: Staying at the Novotel Hotel and wanted to try the pool. Waited over 10mins and still hadn't been approached so we could go in. If staying at the hotel should have a swipe card, ridiculous waiting behind families wanting to sign up to join the whole family as members and the public plus swimming families. Then when our boys were in the pool they were jumping in as all signs said no diving. Life guard said to me no jumping I said we looked for signs and nothing said no jumping and he said it's all the way over there pointing to where another lifeguard and swim teacher had been standing and talking in front since we arrived. No way we would have known. Pretty poor set up, put signs up in multiple places so people can see the expectations. We also didn't get a band for our son who was 5 and got quizzed on that by the lifeguards. Can't say it was the most enjoyable experience. Swimming lessons were on so wouldn't say this is a hotel pool. It's a public pool and busy.
Negative experience: If I could give this place 0 stars I would! My sons 2.5 years and his first swimming lesson at the club was today, I went to the club 11:15am not only could I not find any parking, it was packed for a gymnastics tournament so by the time I got in, it was 11:25. The young girl I was talking with she was polite and kindly enough said when you finish we will do your membership, then she asked do you have double nappy? I was confused and had no idea. Apparently you can’t have a child attend unless they have a disposable and reusable nappy on top. By this point it was 11:30am class had already started, I said I didn’t know this and I received no correspondence, she offered me a reusable nappy although I have some at home, I asked how much and she said $30!! I said no thanks and asked for a refund for todays lesson and I’ll come more prepared next time, or they can provide the nappy because I did not receive anything advising this. She went to ask her manager, Tanya. Soon after Tanya had walked over saying “what’s the problem?” to me. I asked the same for a refund for today’s lesson because I was not told about the reusable nappy and she said no. Even though I said I’ve wasted 10 min trying to prove and show Tanya and missed the lesson that I never received any correspondence in their welcome email which supposedly indicates I need to have a reusable nappy for swimming, she was extremely offensive and intimidating with her attitude and was so rude I started becoming irate, I asked for her manager and she said she’s not in until Monday and refused to give me a name and email address, she gave me their generic email address for complaints and wouldn’t give me the paper. Tanya kept at me saying things like all the other customers don’t seem to have this issue, do you think you are special, we don’t give free merchandise, it’s in our terms and conditions we emailed you we won’t refund you for the lesson. Tanya rudely kept comparing me to other customers and saying they all know to bring it and so should I; I said I called and left a message and no one responded and no one’s answered the phones and then Erin intervened and said she this is not possible, they call all customers back. I said I’ve never experienced this before this rudeness my son was at Carlisle for sometime and she said we’re not Carlisle, it keps escalating and Tanya would not give me the paper with the email, she kept at me saying the same things refusing to refund me saying I should have known to bring a reusable nappy. Then Erin was rudely telling me to leave before she calls security, I felt I was being ganged up on I was just waiting for Tanya to hand me the Paper with the email address. My son was in my arms crying and they did not even take notice, both of them were gas lighting and then finally Erin called security and said “can you send someone to remove this lady off site” I was appalled and extremely hurt by this, I’m holding my son and I was not swearing or screaming I was upset and standing up to Tanya’s rudeness and bitterness. I said many times if you had just spoken to me nicely this would never have escalated and she said you are talking over me! I cannot believe this! I will complain even further about the two reps of this swim school but I don’t know how and who to, they absolutely were talking to me so poorly and I felt bullied. I actually left the centre in tears holding my son. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life.

Fantastic experience: My kids and myself are going here. My elder kid is doing tramp skills and swimming, my little one is going for gymnastics and swimming and I go for swimming. It is our second home

Negative experience: this review is only about Bree the swimming instructor. She is so rude and mean to both parents and young children she shouldn't be speaking to people this way I've seen it so many times making children cry and be scared of her isn't there any one else to coach kids? seriously

Negative experience: This should be public Sports recreational facilities supported by government. However it is infact tied to the gambling centre which has wielded its ill-gotten financial power to tie itself to community facilities such as this and the theatre. On certain draw nights you can't get parking near the facility because all the parking is consumed for long periods the RSL incentivises the local community and attend their facility for long periods of time. The parking and membership cards between these facilities should be separated.
Negative experience: Money only swimming. 30 mins swimming training for 1 child per week. In that 30 mins they training around 5 kids at the same time. So generally we paying 17+ $ for 6 mins swimming class. Only 3 private changing rooms which never ever available.
Negative experience: I have been cheated for weeks and when I called they said you signed for it. What a absolute rip off from people. Well done guys keep it up and ripping people.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities and services. The seating for viewing area is comfortable.
Negative experience: Totally forgot I had signed up so I missed my appointments. No-one called to check if I was late, not coming or dead more than happy to take my money don't care about anything else. $100 I work hard for and nothing to show for it. Website is ridiculous to navigate, no-one on phones will help as everyone is on the difficult website.. place is such a scam
Fantastic experience: My daughter and I attended Kinderfest which was held recently at SGAC. It was a great opportunity for my daughter to experience and take part in the gymnastics circuits organised. My daughter had an amazing time that I ended up enrolling her on the day. I had several questions and was in contact with Vanessa via email. Vanessa responded to my email with patience and promptly. Communication was smooth and questions answered.
