Active Fitness Medowie

Negative experience: Been a gym goer for many years and haven’t experienced a gym as bad as this one. I came for holiday so signed up for the 10 days for $10 deal. As soon as I walked in the door staff were rude and extremely unfriendly. The lady who signed me up asked “if I was sure I was a registered nurse or if my mum was a registered nurse.” Don’t know where that came from and it took me by surprise but I brushed it off. Then while exercising a staff member came up to me and told me I had to leave as it was closing time, which I was fine with as I knew I could only be there 8-8. But the tone and way she said this was disgusting. The equipment was okay, but it was 100% worst gym I’ve ever been to staffing wise

Fantastic experience: I took part in the 4-week Gym Intro Program. It was great! It really boosted my confidence in using the gym equipment and that now gives me an alternative workout if I can’t make a class. Michelle was lovely! She gave us a fun and informative introduction to the variety of gym equipment available at Active Fitness. If you are like me and feel like it’s all a bit overwhelming and intimidating, definitely sign up for this intro!

Fantastic experience: I joined Active Fitness in July last year and it has been nothing short of excellent. The gym is spotless, the equipment is well-maintained and the staff are exceptionally welcoming, friendly and easy to talk to. I was away for work for a couple of months and the process of pausing my membership for that time was as simple as a 2 min phone call. Highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed the intro to gym floor classes with Michelle. It has given me more confidence in being able to come in and do my own program without feeling so overwhelmed by all the different equipment. Michelle was patient and informative and is very knowledgeable whilst making you feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic experience: A big thank you for putting together the introduction to the gym floor program. I used to look at the majority of equipment available in the gym with trepidation and never understood how to use each machine correctly. Thanks to the 4 week program that's available, I’ve gained the confidence and knowledge to use all the pieces of equipment in conjunction with the programs that have been put together for me. I used to rely solely on the group fitness classes to get a full workout with the guidance of a fitness instructor, but now, on the days when I can’t make a class, I can go it alone. The combination of both these options is just the best and I can come and go as I please 24/7.

Fantastic experience: My reason for 5 stars I have been a member of a lot of different gyms over the years and also as a fitness instructor that is only a member of Active Fitness Medowie will not go anywhere else the staff are amazing and friendly will help you in any way and will even stop and chat to you …Active Fitness Medowie has alot of different classes that suit every age group and any fitness level they also have personal training if you need a bit of a push … The cleanest gym I have ever worked out in because you walk in and it smells fresh and looks so clean … If your looking for some where to work out and feel comfortable this is the gym you need in your life.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing fun and friendly environment, the staff have embraced both myself and my daughter and always make us feel like part of the family when in the gym . When I cannot be there they always look out for my daughter making her feel valued and supported and are there to lend a helping hand . Fantastic experience: This is such a fantastic gym. For starters the staff are wonderful. Always so friendly and helpful. My trainer especially is so amazing and motivating and I’ve noticed such an improvement in my strength & fitness since training with her. Great equipment with everything you need and more. Also so many high quality group fitness classes to chose from. It’s always so clean and tidy. Literally the cleanest gym I’ve ever trained at. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: Active Fitness has been a great addition to Medowie community and has become a favourite for my family and I. The weights room has a good selection of free weights and machines and although it can feel a bit small during the busy times, it is generally possible to get the desired machine or bench at most times. The classes are very popular and are sometimes booked out so I hope a future expansion will see larger capacity. The staff are friendly and helpful and keep the gym spotless and 24/7 access means no excuses for getting a sweat up. The Active Diner at the front of the gym is popular for gym goers and local foodies for its good quality and choice. There is expansion under way and I look forward to seeing what the future brings.

Would recommended this gym to anyone looking for a friendly and non-judgmental environment to reach their fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: One of the cleanest and most comfortable gym to train at through my whole bodybuilding career. Staff is what makes this place. The aroma of the place is so delighting. Highly recommend and prices are very attractive
