Negative experience: The gym takes too much money outta my account, it's meant to be a set amount but they take more then what they are meant too

Fantastic experience: Portland Fitness is great value for money being both 24/7 and very spacious and open. I feel very comfortable training there at any hour of the day/evening. It has a friendly atmosphere and equipment caters for all fitness levels.

Portland fitness has all the equipment you will ever need to get the job done with convenient 24-7 swipe card access. I have been using the facility since start of year and feel so much better mentally and physically.

Fantastic experience: Work out here 4x a week and staff greet me every time, I’m always happy to come back every time I work out.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, helpful staff and gym members. Clean, spacious and tidy. Affordable price with plenty of weights and a cardio room. Family orientated. I love watching the kids with their parents doing modified kids friendly exercises or just being with mum and dad while they workout. This is the only gym in town I have actually felt comfortable at.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym with great modern facilities, staff are very friendly and motivating. Great personal trainers are available when you become a member. I have been a member for 6 months and I cannot speak more highly of the experience I have had at Portland Fitness 24-7 and training with one of their personal trainers Nshan.

Positive experience: Not a bad gym in itself. Just good luck trying to cancel your membership even after 12 months,, the pt I had went to and asked to cancel had pressured me into just putting my account on hold for 3 months and demanded reasons why I wanted to cancel, really disrespectful and made me feel not welcome. Making it a really hard process to try and cancel. Otherwise, not a bad set up, if I wasn’t really put off by the management then I would go back

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member here for 4 years now and I love the place. Friendly staff and great equipment. Unlike our other local gyms, it is very spacious, which means even in peak hour it doesn’t feel overcrowded

Negative experience: After seeing what seemed like a potentially worthwhile gym experience ad on FB, (as opposed to the normal intimidating kinds), *no lock-in contract*, (I found this out after messaging someone there), *free personalised program*, *free for this month* etc Then to go in this morning and to be handed a form and only after asking, (words of), what would I expect when I believe I've had enough of it? And to be told either way, no matter if it's before the free trial ends or afterwards, a $60 fee... I had made my mind up... A big no. I said I'd go and think about it but truly, I wasn't happy with forking out $15 a week on a low income let alone a $60 fee when I wanted to pull the pin. That's just taking advantage of people in my opinion. I'll stick to walks, watching what I'm eating, and everything else thankyou. Atleast walks are free.
