Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend the staff more highly, they’re so knowledgeable on training techniques and styles and they are brilliant at coaching you to reach your goals. The gym is always clean & it’s air conditioned. The members are great, with a safe and respectful gym culture, I wouldn’t train anywhere else.

Negative experience: Building is old, cobwebs all over the sign, generally run down. Workers are rude. Steer clear.

Negative experience: Booked in for a free trial online, got gym ready and travelled there to be told they're not doing trials anymore. Staff member didn't offer to show us around or talk about memberships at all, just said we can pay for one session at the price of a whole week. Terrible customer service. Don't recommend.

Negative experience: Signed up for a tour and free trial at the gym as I was looking at swapping to snap, booked an appt online drove down there and the manager barely acknowledged my existence, she was on the phone and barely looked up and when I let her know I was here for the 4pm tour and free trial she just abruptly stated "we aren't doing free trials at the moment" I then shared disappointment as its advertised on the website and I booked an appt, she just again stated "no but I can let you pay $15.50 for a casual visit". What in the world is that kind of customer service? A better response would be, oh sorry but I can't do that but let me show you around anyway and then we can chat about today's workout or even just allow a workout for today as I had booked and came for an appt which was advertised on the website. She didn't even apologise at all or care that she had wasted my time and that the website was at fault not me. She definitely did not leave a good impression of snap fitness and I will now definitely not be swapping to them for my new membership. She singlehandley stopped two new memberships.

Fantastic experience: Not my main Snap Fitness gym, but a good little gym when I'm away for work in the area. Has a good variety of equipment for the space it's in.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! Never packed, great range of equipment, always clean! Members are friendly and the staff are always more than happy to help. PT with Anna is one of the highlights of my week, always making sure I push myself further and progressing each week. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Has a really good atmosphere and the members are really welcoming and friendly. I’ve been a member now for over 3 years and loving the new look, quality and range of equipment. Staff are happy to help and answer question’s, I’m always greeted with a welcoming gesture upon arrival. The free classes for members available throughout the week are awesome and I love that they meet everyone’s fitness level.

Fantastic experience: Snap fitness Portland is an amazing gym with awesome people! I’ve been with snap for 5 years now and have not been disappointed once! Kylie and the team do a amazing job keeping everyone happy and the gym clean and are always very welcoming to everyone! Definitely recommend all ages to join this gym as I started when I was 14 and absolutely loved it! Definitely 5 stars here!

Fantastic experience: Great and modern equipment, hits all the good muscle groups. Quite spacious for a standard snap fitness gym. It’s the Aldi of gyms. It only really has one of everything. But people were kind about sharing between sets. Overall a really friendly community. It has clean ammenities. Has a good dedicated stretch area. No lockers. And only 2 private showers.

Negative experience: Unfortunately there's an employee or PT that is extremely invasive. She interrupted my workout at 3 different occasions to wipe down gym equipment while still in use.This was so problematic to a point that when she was around the benches and some equipment were too sticky to use as a result of her ego. She also gave me a hard time about bringing in my bag saying it's an OSH hazard even though there is nothing in the contract that mentions what she was referring to. It makes no sense to have chalk, a bottle, belt, straps, headphones etc scattered on the gym floor instead of having them in a small bag. I would not recommend this gym to people taking their training seriously.
