MacxFit 24 located in Port Augusta South Australia is a 24 hour facility. The facility has an extensive range of free weights, plate loaded, pin loaded and cable machines. The cardio room has an assortment of treadmills, rowers, ellipticals, assault bike and cardio bikes to choose from. The classes offered at the centre are Circuit, Spin, MacxZone Conditioning, MacxZone Teams, MacxZone Strength as well as being a CrossFit Affiliate running CrossFit classes 6 days per week. MacxFit 24 has an Inbody 570 body composition machine to measure changes. Variety of flexible memberships available We also offer Personal Training with Nutritional Packages to assist on your health and fitness journey

Fantastic experience: Lots of supplements for sale. Clean tidy, professional. Staff friendly, very prompt service on the day. Courteous, bringing a fresh vibe to the gym. Plenty of walking machines. Many exercise machines, catering for every body muscle group. Modern. I enjoyed the free weights. Gave the dip machine, a go and did a few sets. Chin ups etc. Gold star guys.

Positive experience: MacxFit has a large amount of machines that really need to be spaced out for better freedom of movement. There are some machines that are likely infrequently used. Persons present spoke highly of the owner. Plenty of car parking available.

Negative experience: Equipment has all been crammed in together during renovations. Not sure if it is staying this way as there has been minimal communication with members. No water fountain.

We are undergoing renovations and space is limited at the moment. The water fountain has been removed due to covid restrictions. There are other gym options available in Port Augusta if you would like to change facilities.

Positive experience: Service provider is adequate but more flexibility regarding hours of access would be good. The only option for 24/7 access is a full year membership which does not work for many people who work away or travel

Fantastic experience: I go here for hydrotherapy and find it helpful for ageing folk.A heated pool and guided classes can be had here. Quiet and relaxing but only half hour sessions and for a price.

Positive experience: Whilst the facilities need a thorough clean, the gymnasium is a combination of both old and new equipment. That said, there will be no problem enjoying a great workout in this country gym.
