Fantastic experience: Great aquatic centre for all ages. The change rooms are super clean fitted with modern showers. Definitely will be back!

Negative experience: Parking is horrible! Pools not that clean! Very modern and kind of fun.

Positive experience: Gunyama is a great addition to the Eastern Suburbs pool offering. That said, I was quite underwhelmed by the architecture. Key feature is that low arc which you see in all new buildings in Sydney now. The finishes are generally good but looks cheap in some places such as the facade panels. Also expect a more child focused pool than ABC or Alfred Park, including people playing music through their own speakers which is rude in my opinion. Don’t come here for your quiet time. Lastly, there’s not that much space to lay around in the sun/shade.

Fantastic experience: An excellent fitness complex. Their swimming pools have great opening hours, it is very peaceful in the mornings and the outdoor 50m pool is heated. Both the lifeguards and reception staff are friendly :)

Negative experience: The staff here is incredibly rude and disrespectful, reflecting a complete lack of customer service. I had a swimming lesson scheduled but needed to reschedule due to prior commitments. After sustaining an injury, I reached out to move my lesson forward, only to be met with a rude employee who told me I could only have one makeup class and couldn't reschedule, despite my circumstances. When I asked if there was anything she could do to help, she flatly said no. I also inquired about a refund for the lesson I couldn’t attend, and she had the audacity to confirm that I would just lose my money. From the moment she picked up the phone, her attitude was unacceptable. I am utterly disappointed with the pathetic customer service I've received.

Negative experience: I kindly asked to borrow a pool noodle to help my 4 year old swim as she isnt confident to go in the water without one and we’d forgotten our floats. I could see a stack of ten in the corner that werent being used, it wasnt busy at all, and was rudely told to bring my own one when I enquired. Quite sad actually that a community space becomes so hellbent on policies and forget why families go there - to help their kids learn to swim and have fun. Really disappointing.

Fantastic experience: The best public swimming pool in Sydney, and definitely the best hydro therapy pool in NSW, WONDERFULL. Great staff.

Negative experience: If you go there between 7pm and 8pm on weekends, the old man at the front desk will release strong malice towards you.

Negative experience: Don’t sign up for a membership! I had been a member for around a year (just canceled due to awful service and lack of flexibility). I have been overcharged on 4 separate transactions. The support team via email continue to pass the blame eg “the overcharge was a system mistake that was not made on our behalf”. Request a remittance for an overcharge of $57.58. First request was ignored. I then followed up to be told it has been processed and to wait for 10-15 business days - no proof of refund still. I asked again to be told “unable to issue a remittance slip or receipt for the refund being processed as it’s done by a 3rd party group”. Belgravia - don’t respond with your generic response asking to send through an email as I’ve emailed several times only to receive the poor excuses above.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at Gunyama Park Gym during the 360 HIT class on September 2nd at 5:30 PM. The class was poorly organized, and the instructor, Aidan, was not helpful at all. Throughout the session, I struggled to keep up and found myself lost due to the lack of clear instructions. Despite my visible difficulty, Aidan did not offer any assistance or guidance. When I decided to leave the class because of these issues, he called me a "quitter" in front of everyone, which felt both humiliating and unprofessional. Upon returning to address the issue, Aidan argued with me, questioning why I didn't ask for help and blaming me for not understanding the instructions. This response felt dismissive and confrontational, especially given that it is the instructor’s responsibility to guide and support participants. As a long-time member of the gym who has attended several group classes, this experience was shockingly negative. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that future classes are better organized and that instructors uphold a higher standard of professionalism and support.

Positive experience: The complex is overall great, but a few things have led me to rate the pool 3/5. I usually come swimming during the weekends when the lanes aren’t as busy as I assume they are during the week. The pool itself is fantastic. However, I decided to try the gym at Gunyama for a weekly session, since it looked appealing over the weekend. Unfortunately, I found the gym quite full, which in itself isn’t an issue. The real problem was the lack of etiquette among some users—people were wearing flip-flops, not using towels on the machines, and not wiping down equipment after use. It’s disappointing that these basic rules aren’t being enforced.

Negative experience: I recently emailed management because I’ve been harassed to get out of the pool earlier and earlier, stating, “essential maintenance” this time being asked to get out almost 30 minutes before the pool is advertised to close. The management are rude and dismissive and don’t care about ordinary members just about raking in money from squads, lessons and user groups, often shutting down the 50mtr pool by half then it takes the staff half and hour to bring it back to normal. After complaining next time I visited the manager made some remark that when he’s finished I could have the whole pool to myself. Which was literally true because the way they treat people has scared off many of the regular members.

Negative experience: Terrific customer service and no refund for not attending classes. no flexibility. if the payment is declined, the member will be charged over $20. Swimming class teacher refused to teach allocated student and handed them to someone else who wasn't their teacher.

Fantastic experience: The facilities here are excellent - the indoor pool is great for kids and families to enjoy. The outdoor pool is fantastic for doing laps, and the change room facilities are spacious and clean. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional, and the kids love the chippies from the cafe. Also there is an INCREDIBLE AstroTurf soccer pitch just outside that is really good for training, throwing a Frisbee around and taking the dog for a walk (laps around the pitch) and there is also a good introductory outdoor fitness gym there too. The whole place has a fabulous atmosphere and I often drive there on my lunch break just to eat my lunch and walk laps around the pitch. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone!

Fantastic experience: Pilates with Samantha Coban is the only reason I attend this gym! The best instructor out!

Negative experience: We visited the facility and due to the main kids area water being freezing cold my son and his friend went to the hydro pool. My son was splashing around and was having fun and was aggressively spoken to my the lifeguard to move and then eventually to get out. There was no explanation just that my son couldn't swim. He was the only child of colour in that pool at that time. This was simply not true! We were all spoken to rudely and aggressively by the duty manager and decided just to leave due to the horrible experience. Despite raising this a few days after no compensation was offered from the entry fee or no real apology or solution. I would never re visit this place again!

Fantastic experience: Always have a great time. Pool is clean and the changerooms are spacious with bench for changing, showers and rack for shoes. Shout out to Charlie the friendly duty manager / lifeguard, top bloke at the top of his game.

Negative experience: This pool is only good for summer and to be honest we did have fun when it was warm in Dec to Feb. However: never ever go on cold days. Today we went on a rainy day thinking there is indoor facility that can keep the baby warm at least. However not only was the pool water icy cold, but also there was no hot shower! No one at the reception desk told us about no hot water anywhere and the sign about pool temperature was 28 degree which is not the right number. Not to mention the indoor children's play pool was also closed. Thus recommend only come for summer to pay 8.5 per adult plus 4 for parking.

Positive experience: I absolutely love the swimming pool here! It’s quite new, and what I like most is that the outdoor pool is set to a perfect 27 degrees Celsius, while the indoor pool is a cozy 28 degrees Celsius. This is fantastic for me since I’m always cold, and finding a pool with such comfortable temperatures has motivated me to swim more often. However, there have been a few hiccups with maintenance. There have been few times when the hot water in the showers wasn’t working properly. Additionally, just last week, when I went swimming, the pool heating wasn’t functioning (though this has only happened once). Despite these minor issues it’s a great place to swim

Negative experience: Only go in summer! We went during January and it was just delightful. Went today and - bizarrely - the indoor children's play pool was arctic cold and the showers only sprayed cold water. When you're paying over 15 bucks for one adult and 2 little kids this is nuts.

Fantastic experience: Just one of the nicest pools in the City of Sydney precinct. Relatively new , the pools sparkle both indoors and outside. Great place for kids of all levels of swimming ability. Bathrooms are really clean, showers are warm & spacious. Staff are keen to go the extra mile when it comes to using gym equipment . Plenty of classes to chose from both in the gym and in the pools.

Fantastic experience: Enormous gratitude to Samantha for her exceptional reformer classes! They've been immensely helpful from pregnancy to postpartum and beyond. Without her expert guidance, I wouldn't have found my stride again. Highly recommend! Samantha's motivation is infectious; her classes feel more like enjoyable experiences than workouts. She has a knack for making fitness addictive in the best possible way!

Negative experience: Amazing facility in a growing and dynamic neighbourhood. However, I don’t recommend getting a membership if you plan to do laps every morning at the outdoor pool. Most days, the lanes are booked for squad training, which always finishes late. The coaches are loud and stressful, often shutting down the outdoor music. It feels like a military training—not enjoyable every morning. The few remaining lanes are busy and unorganised; you must share the lane with people using snorkels, fins, and paddles, for example. The pool is managed by a private operator, so be careful if you want to subscribe to a membership. They require two weeks' notice for cancellations, depending on your payment cycle. For example, if you cancel in the middle of your two-week cycle, they will charge you for three weeks. There is also a $52 “Establishment Fee” when you sign the Customer Agreement. Additionally, I found the operator to be a bit lax with the pool cleaning. There has been green algae at the bottom for months, for example. Squad training is a big source of revenue for the private operator. People drive from all over Sydney to get there, as evidenced by the traffic and the number of cars parked on the footpath and in no-stopping zones around the pool every morning. However, I think they should focus more on long-term members and how to create a viable and vibrant community of local swimmers.

Fantastic experience: Gunyama Park Aquatic Centre is a top-notch facility offering a variety of pools and fitness amenities. The indoor and outdoor pools are clean and well-maintained, perfect for swimming laps or casual dips. There's also a fantastic hydro pool for a dip in the winter and a modern gym. The only downside is the lack of free parking, but the overall experience makes it worth the visit. A great spot for fitness enthusiasts and families alike!

Fantastic experience: Great new council pool with gym + exercise classes upstairs. The front desk can get very clogged on sunny weekend days. Maybe they should install a self serve ticket machine for casual swimmers.

Negative experience: If I could give negative stars, I would be more than happy too. I don't have any complain about the facilities, but sadly the centre was under the extremely bad management from Belgravia Leisure. If you sign up for gym membership, swimming lesson or squad training, you better check the transactions very often, because they may over charge from your account. It could be creative two accounts for one child or charging one child weekly instead of fortnightly. Overcharge amounts even can reach $5000. How do I know this? Because it hapened to me.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership but they kept billing me. When I called to ask about it they lied and said my form was received at a later date than the date shown on the confirmation email. They then invented some terms and conditions allowing them to bill a cancellation fee in addition to the 2 weeks notice. I guess my mistake was giving them my credit card details and assuming it was safe. When you see it also happens to other people you know it’s not a one-off error but standard operating procedure. Bizarre behaviour that you wouldn’t expect from a City of Sydney facility.

Negative experience: Come to the center today for relax and let my sons have fun but unfortunately the reception staff didn’t tell me I have to go into the water with my son which I know after the bad situation happened to me so I know that’s the rules for the pool .but the staff name: “Lucas” come up to me and tell me that! From this point is logically to me! I understand and I trying to follow the rule as he told. I was order a coffee and the Break-first for myself so I told him can I go get my coffee just 1sc！ he’s like have a attitude work at Sunday so he said “no !go with you son” I repeat just 1sc I go grab my coffee and go with them because my sons is come out from the water and I told them to wait for me by my language and he’s shake he’s head and said “no” he’s tone like give me order! After 10mins I was near by my son watch them because I have problem with my leg so I can’t going to the water! And he’s coming up all the way around from outdoor to indoor to pick up on me! Anyway i explain to the reception and the manager I know Lucas is not getting any problem with it ! What he said to me at the end is “yeah go to the reception and get your refund” if Lucas is the owner of this place!!! Wow that’s going to be a nightmare for anyone he’s unpleasant with! Sorry guys I just feel very bad drive all the way from somewhere 50mins away to here and experienced this service with this wonderful guy “Lucas” Oh! One more thing ! When I at reception there is a nice lady come up to me and told me this “Lucas” pick up on her last time ! Guys this center is not bad for you and your kid to come in to play but be careful with this staff named “Lucas” he’s 1.65high with little mustache At his chin ! Ok I can enjoy my cold meal with a very good day at this place ! Never ever come again I’m afraid this Lucas will do something to me next time if I come! So I won’t come again . No reply with anyone I just need to leave this real experience in here.

Positive experience: The Wi-Fi there is completely not able to connect to , I have 360 membership, and i am enjoying going to the gym to study as there is a quiet nice area to attend my online lectures before health fitness classes start . However the Wi-Fi connection is not supporting me to do so.

Fantastic experience: 2021년에 새로 생긴 수영장입니다! 화창한 날씨에 가면 흰색 건물과 야외 레인이 매우 환상적인 뷰를 보여줍니다. 동네 주민들이 아이를 데리고 많이 방문하는 가족적인 분위기에요. 주말에 방문했을 때도 붐비지 않고 선베드를 잡을 수 있었습니다. 야외 레인과 실내 풀이 있는데 실내에는 유아용 물놀이장이 있어서 좋아요. 시간은 저녁 시간 전까지 운영합니다. 나오면 작은 카페와 운동장도 있어서 쉬기 좋아요.

Positive experience: Amazing facility for families made completely impractical on the weekends by extremely limited parking. Spent almost an hour finding a park all over the surrounding area. Really hoping that the construction happening behind is going to include a carpark.. for now, not going to bother with the fam on the weekends again.

Negative experience: I’m disabled with multiple autoimmune conditions and need regular hydrotherapy to loosen soft tissues, muscles and joints from becoming stiff and painful. Management needs to train the lifeguards to implement the rules of the hydrotherapy pool, so that I could do therapy in a safe environment. I raised this issue three times in January 2023 and again in December 2023 with Belgravia and City of Sydney. Some lifeguards still remain blissful leaving me with near missed collisions and kickings from non-rehabilitation users in the rehabilitation section of the hydrotherapy pool. Fear has increased my stress level and is damaging my mental health which exacerbate my autoimmune conditions.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Gunyama Fitness Center for two years now and just wanted to express my exceptional experience with one of the best trainers I’ve have ever come across in my years of attending Pilates and reformer classes. Samantha Coban is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also super friendly, she has helped me during my postnatal period and helped heal injuries I thought would never get better. Her teaching style stands out as the best I've ever encountered with her extensive knowledge in fitness. Each session is not just a workout but a positive, motivating and enriching experience. Highly recommend to anyone in Sydney wanting a teacher that knows her stuff!

Positive experience: We are on holiday from WA and attended 4-6pm. Nice facility but way too crowded and not big enough for the demand. With the squad training and swimming lessons taking up lots of space, lap swimming was difficult with at least 2 people in each of the lanes that were left. Kids playing in all the lap lanes inside, attendants doing nothing about it. Also very light on the parking! Wouldn’t return.

Positive experience: Pool and the facilities are modern and clean. Never too busy before or after work that you can’t find a lane to swim in. The parking can be hard to find and mostly paid. A causal visit is $8.50 so each visit can add up in cost so it’s worth getting a multi pass.

Negative experience: me and my friend decided to go to this pool to cool down in 30 degree weather and when we traveled on a boiling hot bus for 20 minutes, we walked in and the employee didn’t let us in because we are 1 year below the entrance age. we know how to swim, we’ve both been taking lessons for 7 years at Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre near broadway and she still denied entry. bad service! don’t go here!

Positive experience: So, I hit the pool on a school holiday, under the blazing sun, and guess what? They decide to shut down half of it for some fancy "underwater hockey" university event. Yeah, because playing regular hockey on land is so overrated, right? Let's just inconvenience everyone else! The amenities are just meh due to the amount of people. The cafe's got your usual coffee, and the staff look about as thrilled to be there as I was. Pro tip: Swing by early or you'll miss out on the gourmet selection of hot chips and nuggets. The pool's alright, but usually packed. And it gets even better when they suddenly announce they're closing half of it. Because why not? They always reserve the center lanes for those who actually want to exercise, making the rest of us feel like sardines in a tin. So, they take half the pool for underwater hockey, another chunk for the lane swimmers, and what do we get? About a puddle's worth of space to splash around in. Long story short, after forking out the entry fee, every family was left with like 1/6th of the outdoor pool. Totally not what we signed up for. Big thumbs down! Boooo! Not Happy Jan!

Negative experience: It is disgusting that management allows patrons of the lap pool to empty their noses into the pool! This is a health hazard and a totally unwanted exchange of bodily fluids!! Yuk yuk and yuk ! Close the pool and clean it!

Fantastic experience: My favourite public pool in Sydney. The place is so clean. The waterslides are great for ages 3-10. Hours of entertainment for kids.

Positive experience: It's good and have some things to do for kids. Big enough and not felt crowded even when many people. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that a staff of the center wouldn’t let me film my son using a water slide. She came up to me and said I couldn’t take pictures of other kids, which I wasn’t gonna do. I was filming my baby to send it to his grandmother in another country. If you have a strict rule about this, set up signs prohibiting taking photos and videos in your center. You don’t have to go up to people and accuse them of completely disgusting things. I took it as a personal insult and the mood was completely ruined.

Fantastic experience: Love Gunyama leisure centre ! The creche and the creche club program is amazing! Every fitness class I have been to is so well run with incredible facilities and staff. The pools are all fantastic, my daughter loves the splash park and the hydrotherapy pool is a fantastic edition. In Summer the outdoor pools are fantastic and the big 50m lap pool is great for serious swimmers. This place has something for everyone! I specifically chose this gym over others because of the creche and the family membership being a great option for access to all classes plus swimming lessons. I would honestly recommend this place to everyone!

Positive experience: Gunyama has several swimming pools. The ones my 6yr old grandson and I used were heated, clean, and fun. The Unisex toilet and change room was very good. The cafe was busy but food fine. No grassed areas which was a pity.

Fantastic experience: Super swim resort for all ages. The children's facilities are great fun and the separate spa pool is well worth a visit after your main swim for extra warm relaxation.

Fantastic experience: A great local facility with multiple swimming pools and facilities for families and children, plus a synthetic Sports ground for all sorts of sporting activities. Plus a running track/path around the whole facility with exercise equipment as well. Casual swim visits are available.

Fantastic experience: Great centre, amazing for kids splash zone and the additional indoor and outdoor swimming areas. The splash zone was lots of fun and for a hot Saturday it wasn’t that busy. Fair priced and would recommend. Parking in the nearby area had most spots free and long times on weekends and just had to walk it in from nearby parks. We parked near Tote Park Playground and walked to the pool and back plus got to dry our hair in the sun.

Negative experience: Great facilities, but rude lifeguards who feel compelled to provide parenting advice in a patronising way means I won't be returning. My children 9-13yrs old are in squads and swim hundreds of metres every other night. But hey, feel free to judge as while they're in the ankle deep play area on their own, with me just metres away, one quiet Sunday afternoon, I am asked to put down my phone and join them. Apparently to prove that I am a good parent, because there is a sign that says so. How about you do your job and let me do mine?

Positive experience: Lovely facility. Clean and spacious. My child has been attending swimming lessons there. The cafe attached is very convenient. The hydro pool is my all time favourite part.

Positive experience: As a current customer in this gym. I found that their customer service team members are not trained well to become polite and responsible person. 06/11/2023 in the morning I asked a staff of the reception for help in regards with pausing or cancellation of my membership. I said I had no knowledge about ur policy and no idea about frozen or cancel my membership and ask the staff for service. She just told me “ it is up to me “with a very unfriendly face. I admit the gym is nice and clean and most of the staffs treat customers very good, so I am very shocked when she treated me so bad. I can not understand how come she could be the staff in the customer service team without any patience to help customer. (I don’t remember her name, hope that the manager can see this and help to improve the quality of service!)

Positive experience: *PARKING is a deadset joke only limited to two hours and pricey everyone there only cause of the pool GREEDY COUNCILS * the pool is nice but man so much staff heaps of people for general swim and play guess what hey lets not open up any lane ropes and have no room to move and get the kid lifeguards to keep saying off the ropes With duty manager running it like a school lol Wont be back better places that are cheaper

Negative experience: The cancellation policy is tricky and designed to take your money if not careful. I would give 0 stars if i could for the lack of understanding from the unhelpful customer service.

Fantastic experience: Great pool. Clean water. The free lockers are much appreciated. Parking is a bit limited, but otherwise a great pool.

Positive experience: Centre itself is amazing with super facilities. Parking is abysmal, of you can walk or cycle do so. If you've a young family good luck.

Fantastic experience: Awesome pool great for rehab plenty of staff great lay out for disabled people to keep enjoying the water and exercising.

Negative experience: Service is getting worse and worse. Inconsistency, staff does not know what to do or answer for inquiries. Reception at gym is constantly unattended. No one responses email. Would have been an outstanding gym facility in the area but service just ruins all experience

Fantastic experience: It's great for kids, but you would think if any of the people working at the front counter were to smile, their faces would crack. Not a nice reception at all.

Fantastic experience: Great pool. I loved that they have inside and outside pool. The kids had a great time on the slides and were able to do lots of jumps in the 2m pool. Bathrooms are clean, showers and lockers available

Negative experience: good for 5 and unders, but not older kids. very expensive and they only get to swim in one little corner the equivalent of half a lane as 85 % of the water is reserved for lap swimmers, and to make it worse it shuts earlier for kids.. weird place overall

Negative experience: An Understaffed, overcrowded and under equipped gym. Everyone’s fighting to access equipment and everyone is getting on each others nerves. A perfect storm for everyone becoming exceedingly rude to each other particularly some of the staff. An exceedingly frustrating experience to train here.

Fantastic experience: This is a great pool for lap swimming. Parking can be tricky but the bonus is you get a discount on your parking once you enter the complex. Good little kiosk with excellent bacon and eggs rolls and more.

Positive experience: we all had a good day. booked the room for a birthday party then plenty fun in the water

Negative experience: Great facilities however my toddler was shivering. Took her to the hydro pool where I was berated for being in the swimming lesson area which wasn’t cordoned off. Was forced to stand in a tiny sliver of the pool which was far too deep. Pretty unsafe. If you restrict facilities to that extent you should close them off. Also felt staff were super harsh and unfriendly.

Fantastic experience: The best of gym in this local area, community based and lively. The facilities are new and comprehensive, one can enjoy six locations with one membership. Concession for seniors who are over 55. Instructors and people are super nice and they even form a group to gather once a month.

Fantastic experience: My family and I had a great time at this aquatic centre today. Overall impressed with the centre. Parking is difficult so be prepared to circle the streets for a bit. Plenty of showering and changing facilities. Food options were good. Entry fee reasonable.

Positive experience: We go to the gym here and love it Altho there’s starting to be too many members in the small space. Great pools and fantastic heated hydro bath! Nice cafe too with good coffee.

Fantastic experience: Excellent pool to take children of all ages. My grandson had a great time playing on the slides. So close to the train station. I have been back a few times now.

Fantastic experience: A great gym if you’re looking for something less pricey and not as fancy as a Virgin or Fitness First set up. My partner and I go here multiple times a week for early morning classes. Hitt, Pilates and Strength sessions are all very good. The pool is also a nice set up to get laps in. Having a coffee after a workout at the in house cafe is always a nice touch. Wish they had a sauna and a better class booking system, but for the price it’s great value.

Fantastic experience: This is the best winter pool in Sydney for adult lap swimmers but of course one needs to bear in mind winter is a time for the dedicated few. I would be intrigued to visit Gunyama in summer to see if the etiquette displayed by my fellow swimmers carries over into the warmer months when I have been subjected to acts of aggression at my local pool which closes for a four month off-season.

Negative experience: We were so looking forward to our first visit. Shame my son fell in a hole outside the cafe area and cut his knee from a broken safety flag. And then we were bitten by swarm of wasps. Although I may go back again, pools great selection for everyone of all ages. Facilities are clean, first aid officer Jack was amazing!

Fantastic experience: Great facility and swimming pool. Having my adult group swimming lessons here and my instructor Nicola is the best! She is attentive and professional even I’m in a group lesson she tried to watch everyone’s progress and tell you what to focus on. The only downside is the receptionist here is a bit unorganized. Overall experience is pretty good!

Fantastic experience: Kids water wonderland! So much wet fun to be had...going down slides, water buckets etc. Outdoor pool area great in the warmer months and great place to do lapa. Inside is a good size hydro pool. Ticket includes a parking discount.

Fantastic experience: Beautifully-designed pool that works for families as much as serious swimmers. 25m indoor along with family-friendly play area, slides and water spouts and very shallow section for ~1yos. Outdoor has a 50m Olympic pool along with shallow, shaded areas to chill or play about it. Has A1 facilities for changing, a creche, a decent cafe off to the side and a gym upstairs (which I haven't been to). I was told there's a hydrotherapy pool too.
