Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Employee’s working there have not been trained to handle customers with care. It seems like the motto is… it’s easier to be dismissive and give customer the flip, than try come to a resolution.

Fantastic experience: Courts are clean and can be booked.. unlike most other places locally (GSAC..lol)

Fantastic experience: Strength Training: the space is filled with treadmills, cycling, elliptical machines. It misses a few machines for hip, shoulders. So you will have to use dumbbells for specific movements. It does not have a smith machine. There are great barbell stations though if you are into deadlifts and heavy lifting. There are med balls, rowers and a friendly staff always around. Yoga studio: the yoga studio is amazing. Nice and spacious. The class schedule is limited but some of the classes are great. Reformer Pilates: haven’t tried them but seems to be in demand.

Negative experience: Worst place ever. Came to see our daughter in gymnastics competition and could not even get a drink. Over 4hrs of dehydration and starvation. How pathetic! Bit of course they encourage slave labour and have kids walking around getting people to pay for a raffle

Negative experience: $6.98 large Chai latte is just pure hot water and put some vanilla powder. First time google review.

Positive experience: There is a gym and basketball play center, gymnastics centre and swimming pools available nice place.

Fantastic experience: My dgtr goes for her gymnastics class here. It is a fun lively place for kids to have fun. Alongside , many classes run here for adults fitness as well. There is a gym as well and a small cafe for coffee and snacks.

Positive experience: Unfortunately no sauna and spa pool here

Positive experience: I had a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure every guest felt welcomed and comfortable. The cleanliness of the pools was impeccable, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Great place for the kids during the summer

Negative experience: Really poor customer service. Had a basketball booking paid till 9pm on a Thu night 28/3/24 as part Hangtime basketball. Randomly rings was raised at 840 pm without any explanation. The staff member said looked bamboozled and suggesting that he thought we were playing. Volley ball. He then realised that we were all upset by his action and said fine he will leave us alone. Within 5 mins during mid game turns off the stadium lights. Two things went wrong here, could have been a serious injury during play and poor customer service. When confronted about why he turned off the lights, he was rude and didn’t provide a reasonable explanation. He then said report my manager, you won’t get anywhere.

Positive experience: Flickering lights, score boards never work and you can hear anyone talk

Positive experience: With the redevelopments of this Centre over the years, the swimming pool is being ignored. There's been no thought into either having the pools indoors, or erecting shading for swimmers. As for the diving pool, that's rarely (if ever) open and the spa is no longer is no longer being advertised as available (does this function even exist anymore?). Is this Centre actively trying to drive away swimmers?

Positive experience: I love swimming and plus for two people it costs only $10, 10 that is very cheap for swimming

Fantastic experience: Love taking my 4 & 2 year olds here on a warm day. They absolutely love it! Even when it’s a bit busier it is still lovely with shady spots, the playground and extra perk & cost effective.

Negative experience: Came here today with a group of friends so our boys could shoot some hoops and paid a general admission entry fee. We were assured a court would be available, only to find out the group that were using the court would not leave at their designated time. I was extremely annoyed after talking to someone at reception that he could not leave reception and try and sort it out and get them to leave, only to have another staff member try to sort it out all to no avail. We got assured we would get a refund and a free pass if they would not leave and as ot could not get sorted and this group of rude men would not leave we only received a refund and no free pass, despite being assured we would. We wasted 40 minutes trying to sort this out even confronting the group of men ourselves as we got asked to do by reception Not good enough it’s school holidays and you ruined the day for our young children despite being assured the court was available and to do nothing about it is beyond belief will not be returning on school holidays

Positive experience: My favourite pool in the area, nicely situated and kept pretty clean. Just beware that the lifeguards take very little interest in what goes on in the pool, so it's up to you to keep your wits about you with all the people chucking stuff and swimming in front of you and under you if you want to do laps on a busy day. I understand that their primary role is to rescue someone if they're in trouble but, to be honest, I'd feel safer under the supervision of people who didn't appear to be sleep-walking and taking no notice.

Negative experience: They don't seem to know what they are doing. Lots of issues. Booking errors and some rude staff. A few are lovely, but overall not a great place to try to get fit. Facilities are nice though. Not beginner friendly in classes. Issue every time I have been.... 6 weeks into membership now and slight improvement. Tried many different classes. Sometimes have to wait for a machine in gym. The members car park is a must or else you can not park. The staff gang up on you if you ask questions and try to get your membership cancelled. Not impressed at all with this place

Fantastic experience: Such a lovely, clean and modern gym that is also quiet. Every class you could need in beautiful big studios. Very fresh and new and most importantly not too busy or crowded. Plenty of staff always available with the gym floor always supervised. Love the atmosphere where it’s not a big hero body builder vibe but very welcoming for everyone. Can’t fault it and I’ve been to many gyms over the years. Fantastic pricing and no contracts is the icing on top! Love it.

Positive experience: Lovely, clean facilities and lovely service from Waverley Gymnastics and their front cafe ☕️ where I’ve had a nice almond milk chai latte. My granddaughter attends littlies gymnastics ‍♀️ here and she loves it! Nice instructors, clean and well-equipped gymnastics area, and great views from the bleachers where nanna can take lots of videos to kvell over! Great job

Negative experience: Called in the morning for casual hiring, said it was ok; then when I was about to proceed with booking, I was told that I need a two weeks notice for a casual court hiring(?). This is due to the need of extra time in setting up and packing up volleyball court which does not make sense (who books a court two weeks in advance if you are playing casually, and you literally need two polls and one net which won’t take you more than 5 minutes to set up or pack up). The positive experience from that conversation was that the staff was very apologetic, and I understand that it wasn’t her fault. Better training on court preparation and casual hiring policy are needed.

Negative experience: 1)They really need to put numbers on the courts so people that haven’t been there know what number each court is. 2) The booking system is terrible, you must let people know which courts are booked, and which brings me to my 1st point have numbers on the courts. 3) I’ve been playing basketball for 20 years and never have I seen or been to a basketball centre rec centre where they don’t have 1 court free at all time for casual shooting. It’s for the public so you really need to honor that obligation. Have 1 court free at all times rather then being money hungry for a booking

Negative experience: Waited a long time to use the diving boards here due to the ridiculous rule that they’re not open until the temperature is 30deg. Went today to be told you can only use them hourly after taking a swim test. Waited until the hour, did the swim test then was told we couldn’t dive for the next 15min as there was no lifeguard available. Lifeguard came 20min later to tell us no high boards allowed and not even allowed to dive off the 3m spring board (only the 1m springboard). Are they diving boards or jumping boards?! I wouldn’t waste your time or money, this place is pathetic.

Negative experience: Completely soulless now. Sad how so many people attended council meetings to keep it open, due to it having the dive pool only for them to strip it of any fun and not allow you to use the tower or actually dive off of the boards. I regret attending those meetings.

Fantastic experience: Great pool. Has large shaded pool for the young children. Big pool and diving pool. Large cafe , great coffee and food. Very pleasant staff. Lots of showers Really nice , clean changing rooms and hair dryers. Has large trees if you want to stay in the shade. Will go again.

Fantastic experience: Always love the pool in summer with the family. The 3 different pools are great for kids of different ages. Recently started going to gym at active Monash, and it’s an amazing facility with a huge weights/machines bit, and then separate rooms for group fitness classes. We go to early morning and evening classes. I’m choose strength and stretching classes and my partner is more high intensity. Everyone friendly and helpful and offering alternatives in case there are injuries you are nursing.

Positive experience: Great gym and facilities but this isn't the 1990s. Every other gym around is 24 hours. 6am opening time is about an hour too late for so many people who want to workout before work. I'd re-sign back up here if you opened at 5am.

Positive experience: an amazing sport center, every Saturday we need to come here to join the basketball club game. They play so well and the facilities is always good here. Love it thanks

Fantastic experience: Outdoor 50m pool opens in Summer and is not too crowded, so great for lap swimming. The pool is clean and bright with plenty of trees surrounding to make for a pleasant swim. Staff are friendly. There is also a diving pool and kids wading pools in the large outdoor space. Inside there is also a cafe with lots of table seating and a gym. Change rooms are spacious and clean.

Positive experience: Parking is a major problem, even late Saturday evening struggled to find a park front or rear of centre. Great modern facilities, pools, basketball stadiums, gymnastics school, all keeping it very busy. Hopefully it gains more council funding for expansion.

Negative experience: Worst experience in a rec center ever, made to feel like I didn’t belong by an older lady on the desk I paid my entry fee and filled in her little sign in form as she asked and wore a bracelet to say I’ve paid on the way in, then went and did my basketball work out I took off the bracelet as I was shooting as it was interfering with my basketball. I finish my workout and leave thru the front as requested by the older woman on the desk as I am signing out she yells at me saying have you paid have you paid and I look at her and say yes of course how can you not remember me I’ve been the only one here using the courts and show her my bracelet then she says you must keep it on or we can kick you out. The old woman needs to redo some training or learn some people skills or somthing because she makes people feel like a criminal for playing basketball.

Fantastic experience: Enrolled my 3 year old in gymnastics inside the centre (Waverly Gymnastics) and she loves it. Different activities every week so she is never bored. Only downside is that the car park can get very full.

Positive experience: Friendly service Outdoor pool was not very busy (which is great). Lots of grass floaties in the outdoor pool on the day I was there. Lots of aquatic activities for all ages.

Positive experience: After the renovations the complex is a delight. On this particularly hot day the pool area was an inviting oasis. There are large grassed areas with shade from trees or shade cloth structures. The 50 metre outdoor pool is divided into public swim and slow, medium and fast lanes. There was plenty of space available for all sorts of aquatic play. There is access to the cafeteria from outside for food and drink. Salt chlorinated water was crystal clear and didn't irritate the eyes. Lifeguards were constantly patrolling the pool area. Children under 10 have a bright yellow wrist band to identify potential poor swimmers.
