Negative experience: If you have a non-visible disability I would not go here I went here a couple of weeks ago and I tried to use The disabled bathrooms because those are the ones I need to use but older staff member try to stop me from closing the door and said I couldn't use it because I didn't look disabled ? He made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcomed and I felt forced to tell him my disability If you have a child or if you yourself have a non visible disability and need to use disabled bathroom I would go to a different pools

Negative experience: This place never has pools open always getting replaced or repairs done , reception never answer to calls , too hard

Positive experience: The group fitness room desperately needs an upgrade, extension.

Fantastic experience: Good facilities in good condition, clean, appears to be managed well. Like the cafe although it is fairly pricey.

Negative experience: Water is luke warm at best. Half the kids are shivering. One instructor was not great, her voice was lower than a whisper and couldn't control the kids at all. Reception staff and lifeguards were very rude to my husband and I on a few occasions. Only plus is cost and the cafe. We also had one great instructor but the bad outweighs the good unfortunately.

Positive experience: Not bad venue for smaller shows and concerts. Seats are very tight and need an update.

Positive experience: Went for NBL1 basketball game, new grandstand in older court area, holds many more people now. Great crowd, around 2000 which made the atmosphere absolutely buzzing. Big food canteen on upper level, some snacks available at courtside bars and in Wolves Den. It was a great night. Any kinks should be worked out very soon. Well done to all involved.

Fantastic experience: Had the best time in the family pool. The Lazy River and Water slide are great fun for all. Basketball courts in good condition and the SBL games are awesome.

Fantastic experience: Kids loved it here for a splash. The water slide was a hit with miss 5 and our 2 yo loved the baby section with small fountains. Water was actually comfortably warm (it was a cold winter's day when we went). The lazy river is pretty fast but fun! Very attentive life guards

Positive experience: Very good leisure pool with lots of space but the water is not as warm as the others places I have been to. My kids and myself started to feel cold and wasn’t enjoying the swimming anymore. Very clean changing rooms.

Negative experience: Very rude staff, after swimming lessons for my kids can't swim and need pay separate,. Won't be coming back

Negative experience: So the pools veen closed for awhile my uses to bring my daughter here nearly every week, saw it had reopened so came today Saturday 17th of Feb to be met with a new fee to use the slide that has always been here what a joke, No upgrades have been made to the Pool's the lanes are still closed and it cost $17.10 to get in before the renos it was around 11ish. Also to be noted besides the lifeguards on duty there is now a security person no idea why walking around just perving on mums in bikinis.

Negative experience: New fees for using the old slide, and sauna apparently, I entered the sauna to be immediately asked if I had a wrist band, then told I had to leave, sauna was empty, like I was costing them money to run it. Multiple lifeguards but mostly for enforcing rules, and a security guard too? Won't be coming back. Shop has above average prices.

Fantastic experience: Nice place to have a coffee and a cake, if you are into swimming and gym from what I have seen professional classes are available. Staff are very nice and kind, parking is easy, if you need disabled parking they are patrolled and security checks to see if people have the right permit Do not rely on the free wifi as it seems to be outdated and the security certificates are not up to date so modern browsers complain and will not load webpages.

Negative experience: Just returned after the renovation was completed. Unfortunately, nothing appears to be upgraded yet. Heaps of features such as water fountains and sprayer not working. a new charge for the use of the slide!! It's been here for over 12+ years, no upgrade and is rather old. You have to hold your kids from the water. Swimming pools available only in the lessons times not before and after however there is a free unused ones. It is the reason we come here to HBF so unfortunately will not be returning after the current season. The prices at the cafe were also unreasonable. It is totally disappointed place.

Positive experience: The 50mtr pool is still closed, so I swam in 25mtr pool. This is too shallow if you want to do good deep water walking. Wasn't what I hoped. So most likely won't be back

Positive experience: We decided to give HBF Arena another go, and it was 4* considering there's not many options in and around the Wanneroo/ Joondalup area. The staff was helpful and looked cheerful despite the hot weather. We enjoyed the cooler temp in the pool and around the arena. The cafe was clean and spacious. Will return. Cheers

Fantastic experience: It is a very spacious place with good facilities. Everything you need in terms of health in one place. Also, if you are going for Navratri, the venue is awesome with a great team to help you out (once a year, event).

Positive experience: Today I went for a visit with my partner Peter Murray, and he told me that the painting department of AE Hoskin's he works for as one of their Painting Estimators are giving the HBF Arena an amazing fresh new paint spruce up on all the exterior sections. AE Hoskin's painters are proudly commencing the work in this coming week starting with the south side of its stunning architectural design, finishing up in February next year ! So head over for a swim or whatever sport you are into and take a look at her revamping in action! ⛹‍♂️‍♀️⛹‍♀️

Negative experience: The slide and family pool is closed. In the 50 meter there is no play lane and you can only swim laps. Not good for kids that like to play in the pool.

Positive experience: Full recreational centre. Gym is good but gets crowded. Pool & Sauna with plenty of ovals for sport oitside.

Fantastic experience: Multiple sport & entertainment facility. Swimming, gym, basketball, wellness, classes, volleyball, AFL, rugby, hockey, netball, indoor soccer. Plus Cafe is quite good & value for money

Negative experience: The Titanic has more water in her pools. ***Fees up, facilities closed*** Don't waste your money, this place is a construction site with half the facilities unavailable. Large sporting complex surrounded by various courts and fields. Large carpark on southern side with overspill parking in the same area. Basketball courts, fitness classes, gym, spin classes and a whole bunch more to do. The recreational pool is out of action at this time, possibly until July 2023.

Negative experience: Both pools have been non-useable for a long time and into the future. No reduction in membership fees or refund for being unable to use the pools or sauna.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place. Full of people doing all kinds of exercises. Relaxing having coffee. I believe there are pools there although I did not see them.

Negative experience: Would be higher if the change rooms weren’t so dated and run down. The facilities and services are great, but the grime, calcium and mould build up in the Mens Changeroom is really off putting. I expect more from a great facility like this.

Negative experience: Still being forced to pay the full fee for pool membership, but access to the 50m pool has been severely limited. Thanks to the closure of the rec pool over summer, the number of people using the 50m pool has increased and closures due to school carnivals on during the day has meant more people using the pool in the evening. Added to this, outside of office-hours the 50m pool is often in 25m mode and limited lanes are available to the public - not very practical most people! Very disappointed in the Arena's lack of communication and information when the problem will be fixed. When I asked if there was a possibility for a discounted rate (for the severely limited access) in light of the indefinite closures I was told my only option was to cancel my membership altogether.

Negative experience: Disappointing that so many lanes are booked up in the evenings with children’s lessons and swim squads, some evenings the lanes are split into 25 metres to accommodate all of the bookings. There is very little lane availability for public lane swimming.

Negative experience: Basketball is fun but sometimes a big bloke walks around acting like he is the coolest guy ever and that he runs the place. even if he does learn how to have common decency.

Positive experience: Courts out the back are older with not as good lighting. The newer courts are nicer. Haven't played on them myself but teams I've coached have. Enough seating for normal games but can be limited for WABL games. NBL1 Nationals today was well set out but the stadium seating was a long way from the court.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities for many forms of exercise easy parking and accessible for everyone. And a great little coffee shops and snacks to boot what more could you want. Pretty quiet today and seating only outdoors for the cafe.

Negative experience: The Pool is closed for renovations with no mention of this on your GMB page

Positive experience: Went to look at potentially joining the gym. The place is enormous and everything (basketball courts etc. in pristine condition. The pool is closed for renovations and the exercise areas looked same as elsewhere so nothing special. 7 day free trial is a good idea, except you have to go for 7 consecutive days which could be a bit of a problem for those working or with families. We will definitely check for events on the website as their spectator areas are incredible.

Negative experience: Wow. Rob is a disgusting human being. What a disrespectful person. This guy will be racist and discriminate against disabled people and then to scared to give his full name when asked. I would rather swim in the sea than ever step foot in this establishment ever again.

Fantastic experience: Hbf area has everything. Heaps of sports, great pools. A good gym and selection of classes. And the Lemon Tree Cafe is fantastic.

Negative experience: So the workers there today were very entirely racist! So apparently there were a lot of black kids running around and then they said we can’t swim and then we got kicked out for no absolute reason

Fantastic experience: This place is HUGE very good for comps as my grandkids take part in competitions here. The Lemon Tree Cafe which is inside has great coffee.

Positive experience: Good facilities, prices and instructors. Pool requires resurfacing . The floor is very sharp in some areas (kids classes not lap pool)

Fantastic experience: The instructors are amazing and especially the spin instructors they motivate me to challenge my fitness and i must say my fitness level has improved and i feel awesome thank you

Positive experience: A wonderful place to go & spend the Western Australia Day watching the footy on the grassy slopes. Only thing missing was some food trucks on the hill around the outer. Pretty sad when you cant get a hot dog or a beer at Joondalup without jumping in the queue of 50 or 60 people and missing a half of the game. Id hate to think greed is the reason for this because the WPFC is running the only outlets for food & drink at the clubrooms.

Negative experience: New to HBF arena & I find it disgraceful that you charge full price for use of the pools when you know their are multiple classes, lanes are all taken & the rest of the general swimming facilities are overcrowded. Then to be told we are able to use the sauna upon entering to have the same lifeguard come in & inform us that the manager said you must pay extra for these facilities. You make people pay for the service of using the pool & dont even provide the service with the overcrowding. Will be the last time I support this establishment.

Positive experience: Think twice if you want to swim at your own pace: Very crowded in the swimming area with limited lanes open for public. Only time you would not be crammed into lane sharing (sometimes 6-7 others) is 7-8pm. Almost impossible to swim if not enrolled in some swim instructor's classes (reserved lanes) Do not know how really early morning are...6-7am..

Positive experience: Good facilities. Only negatives, no where to get refreshments or a cold beverage after the match especially if it's after hours like the hockey match I watched at 5:30pm last night (Sunday). Also being locked out of the building without notice and having to walk around the entire building without clearly marked directions and poor lighting was not ideal.

Positive experience: Great facilities in both the Gym and the Pool and the cafe offers a selection of drinks and food. If you go around 9 or 9:30am, the kids pool area is very quiet so there's plenty of room to swim, walk and exercise. However, the floor of the children's pool area is becoming extremely rough and it scratches legs and toes when ducking under the water.

Fantastic experience: Alex and I had the best day and both wished that more people had the chance to watch local footy. My Dad was a Cardinal supportor and my son and I are now both Falcons fans. Thanks Dave Dyson x

Fantastic experience: Absolutely great arena, take my little girl to attend jungle sports on Monday, she loves it. The lemon tree café is pretty good. Service is friendly, food and coffee are tasty.
