Fantastic experience: This is a great setup. Multiple pools. Well equipped gym. Many different classes in the gym and the pools. Highly qualified instructors and Exercise Physiologists . There is also a physio and podiatry clinic attached. A one stop place to get back on track. Plus the cafe makes a great flat white.

Negative experience: Swim classes are okay, kids in older classes wait around for their turn and in the infant classes there are 8 kids with parents. Yet somehow, in a class for older kids there are 4 students or infant classes, 8+ infants with parents doing all the work, it is the same price? There are other centres with exactly the same classes charging way less. Save your money!

Fantastic experience: After my hip replacement, I was encouraged to exercise regularly to strengthen my legs. Wanting some extra motivation, I joined Aqua Blast with Mary — and I’m so glad I did! The class delivered a fantastic upper and lower body workout in the water, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend and I’ll be back every week!

Negative experience: Very Disappointed – Would Not Recommend I enrolled my three children in the swimming lessons here and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The management was unfriendly and unapproachable from the start, showing little interest in helping or addressing any concerns. There was a clear lack of passion in the teaching – the instructors seemed disengaged and inattentive, offering minimal encouragement or guidance. It felt more like a business going through the motions than a place genuinely focused on helping kids learn and grow. Definitely not worth the time or money.

Positive experience: The learn to swim program here is awesome!! The teacher is amazing and the membership perks are soooo good!!

Positive experience: Nice leisure center with two swimming pools, an aqua park, and gym/cardio/Pilates sections in the building. Hopefully, the swimming pools will be repainted and the gym changing rooms renovated to make them more enjoyable to use.

Positive experience: If you're thinking about going to this pool... phone ahead to see what's open. I turned up at 2.30pm today with my kids, and was told that out of their 3 pools, only one lane in the lap pool was available for public swimming. I was told that the hydrotherapy pool could be used by my younger child because he is under 5, but we couldn't go in there as a family because I had my older child with me. If it were busy, I would understand, but we had clearly arrived at a quiet time, and the hydrotherapy pool appeared to be empty. I was told that the large leisure pool closes between 1.30pm and 3.30pm daily. This isn't the first time I've visited and found that most of the facility is closed for public swimming. I want to like it here, but they make it hard.

Negative experience: The new management and some of the staff are clueless about the payment system.The new IVR system set up keeps making you go around in circles,you actually need to visit the centre to discuss any issue,the staff was clueless when questioned about payment system and advised some one from management will contact me, got no response again and had to visit the centre again to follow up on the payment discussion.Completely incorrect advice given on the second visit.Appaling service!

Fantastic experience: I love Dasha's yoga class. She is always adding new stuff that makes each session interesting and challenging. Great atmosphere and a good community. I wish to have more classes in the morning.

Positive experience: People working here are friendly. Pool is looking a bit tired. Change rooms are clean and newly renovated. Really busy with squad training, only a few lanes are available for public lap swimming from 3.30-6.30 pm.

Fantastic experience: Excellent all around. Great location for a swim, good price of entry, water is the perfect temp and mostly an uncrowded pool laps. A very cathartic place to have a swim and I will absolutely return here for a swim if I am in the area.

Negative experience: NOT RECOMMENDED, poor management, regular staff turn over, no regulation in teaching style, no continuity as staff always change, had the worse experience from recently changing from privates to group classes whereby my child was assigned to a class two levels down from when they were in privates. This error was due to the poor management of the facility and not having the children’s best interests at heart. Additionally if you want to over hear the life guards talking about inappropriate subjects during their working times in uniform whereby they should be looking out for child safety, then this is your place. If you want inconsistent service and to waste your money then this is your place.

Negative experience: Belinda was awful to deal with and treat us to debt collection never recommend this place for your child’s .

Negative experience: As soon as you sign your kid up you have to deal with debt collectors, never informed us regarding our outstanding fee before we know we got a call from debt collectors. And such a rude staff.

Fantastic experience: As an aqua class participant it is fantastic to have excellent teachers who are cognisant of individuals needs, provide motivating classes and encouragement and as many of us are retired understand our needs for social interaction as well as mental and aerobic fitness. Negative experience: Yet again this weekend the 8 lanes of the deep end were closed. Every weekend this summer those same 8 lanes closed for various excuses. During this peak period of summer and on one of the hottest days this year to have 8 lanes closed at 11am this morning is unforgivable. The reason- cleaning the pool. One fellow in shorts and short sleeve shirt spent 30 minutes in the heat of the day vacuuming (that cannot be WH&S standards in the melanoma capital of the world). Moreton city residents deserve better service. There is no price reduction or choice not to pay entry before once you're in the pool you are told you have to get out for cleaning. You might not mind if the website posted cleaning times or the lifeguards on deck weren't all facing away from the pool. Hopeless.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the 9am pump class this morning conducted by “Jules” filling in for another. One of the of safest Pump classes I have attended in a long time. Clear timely instructions on moves throughout the class with a focus on correct technique to ensure safety & maximum benefit for the generally older attendees. Cudos to you Jules. Hope to see you back at our centre again soon

Negative experience: I don't recommend this place for children's swimming class! Staff are not trained how to behave with young kids and that makes my kid not want to go back there for swimming. I send my kid there to enjoy not to get punished with an angry teacher in that half an hour per week! Definitely not recomended!

Negative experience: Took my grandchildren there for a swim on Friday ....was informed at the counter that because they were understaffed the small pool and slide was not open and because of swimming lessons only lane 1 of the large pool was open. I asked was the entry price reduced because of this and I was told very rudely NO of course not . We were charged the full admission price to only be able to use 1 lane of the large pool . Maybe reduce you admission price if you cant offer the full use of your amenities. Very poor customer service and very poor amenities for a over priced facility.

Negative experience: Aging facilities, inconsistent service. I was taking my children there as they are closest but I will be taking the extra drive and returning to Genisis as th facilities and services are better.

Fantastic experience: Lots of fun for kids. Large kids pool. Huge slide for kids over 120cm. A 'rapid river', which the kids couldn't get enough of. Also stacks of lanes in a dedicated pool for punching out a few laps.

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to the area and join this gym primarily to do aqua aerobics and use the gym! However, I have tested all the classes and have enjoyed every single one. My favourite have been with Helen doing aqua and the barre class. I also really love the Zumba/dance classes and aqua Zumba.

Positive experience: I find the facility great, the staff supportive and committed. I am totally satisfied with all interactions with ACLC except the fact that the online booking system only allows bookings 5 days ahead. I do not know anyone who organises their schedule 5 days ahead, as most people plan for the next week (ie 7 days). This 5 day system is a constant irritation to me as, even though I am retired, I need to plan ahead to fit in my grandmother duties and make the bookings I require to fit in with that schedule. I am also irritated that I did not receive any online or email notifications about the changes to classes over the Easter period. I had to work this out myself when booking classes. The facilities, classes, reception staff, trainers, and cafe staff are fantastic, but the online booking system needs to better meet the needs of busy people.

Negative experience: Don't go here with young children. Lifeguards don't like kids splashing in the learn to swim pool. (My kids are learning to swim and were not splashing unnecessarily.) Disappointed that I choose a membership here because they were family friendly. I will be cancelling my membership after feeling that unwelcome and awkward just for having children.

Negative experience: Creche staff won't let you in - even if it's to comfort your own crying child. Lots of arbitrary rules that they heavily enforce and won't budge on, such as no entering a pool you have a booked lesson in even 10mins before the lesson, when there are no posted signs saying you're not allowed - and even some posted signs that say you are allowed! Reception staff are nice, but everyone else felt very unwelcoming.

Negative experience: All of the remaining gym machines are dated and in dire need of repair. Only 3 of the 7 treadmills work. Water filter been out of order and covered with a garbage bag for 4 months. Mould around all of the air-conditioning vents. Staff have a “it’s not my job” mentality. Enquiries go unanswered/ignored. This gym needs a serious shake up and new manager. Update: membership price has increased. Workout spaces have reduced to make room for yoga. Don’t go here for a gym…three other gyms in close proximity that are cheaper, bigger, maintained, and clean.

Fantastic experience: Good swimming pool and water park. Kids enjoy sliding and the rapid river water flow. Slide opens 10am. There are laps for swimming too. The safeguards are friendly and responsible. They gave us good advice and suggested safer right areas to play. Thumbups.

Positive experience: First time at this outdoor pool, what an awesome place. The kids loved spending the afternoon on the water slide and cruising the rapid river. Great way to start the school holidays!

Negative experience: Food is way overpriced. It costs $3.50 for a large slushy which is basically the size of a small McDonald’s one. Got hot chips and a small nuggets and chip combo, they didn’t even taste like it was cooked properly. The wait time took forever and staff were purposely ignoring customers to focus on preparing food. Would it not make sense to take everyone’s order and then go make it ? Or simply have more crew on in the kitchen ? Staff are blunt and fake and everything seems forced.

Positive experience: It's evident there are a lot of staffing issues for learn to swim classes at the moment, but thankfully my boy's class hasn't been affected. His teacher Miss Kate is so amazing!! She is very experienced, kind, caring and friendly. She's an absolute delight and deserves a gold medal!!

Negative experience: I was a member of this gym for 2 years and my son attended swimming lessons here for 1 year but after a year of over charging, poor organisation and lack of flexibility I moved him elsewhere for swimming. I then stayed as a member until recently, as for the same reason someone else has stated, the joining fee is so high that once I paid it I was reluctant to change gyms. The trainers are great and have no bad words about them but the reception staff are rude and arrogant. I have had them argue with me about being overcharged for swimming lessons when this is their error! After my gym membership was cancelled I was still getting charged and when I called to ask why, they told me that the paperwork wasn't registered in their computer until such date so I need to continue paying until a month after they entered it in their computer, which is a ridiculous answer! It should be cancelled from 30 days after I notify the cancellation! Staff need to be trained better so that they don't continue this way.

Fantastic experience: An absolutely outstanding pool experience! The staff are incredibly friendly, the pool is always the perfect temperature and with plenty of options for the casual or regular swimmer I can’t recommend ACLC enough.

Fantastic experience: First time going back here since I was a kid. Has changed a bit around the entrance but the pools and the slide are still the same old good stuff. My kids have fun going around the whirlpool just like I did. Still very popular with lots of visitors and a quite full car park.

Positive experience: Thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the kids here. A bit of something for everybody. Lap pool, heated pool, the wading area for toddlers and the lagoon with the slide. Easy parking when it’s not as busy. Change rooms are very modern with warm showers - which is a bonus!

Fantastic experience: We had the Team TKD Aspley breakup party at the Albany Creek Leisure Centre. It is great looking facility, and has a gym club attached as well. We were allocated a grassed area with which to hold our event. We had about 300 people. The staff were helpful and the facility was very clean.

Positive experience: The pool has lots of potential. I would have given it 5 stars if the toddlers wading pools were open and there were tables and chairs around the kids pool.

Negative experience: Take this as positive feedback to address and fix the problem. The coffee is terrible. If you charge $4.10 for an 8oz coffee, which is higher than city prices it would want to be at least palatable. You can't serve bad coffee in this day and age...period. Take the time to train your staff how to make coffee.

Negative experience: Staff here are so rude and unprofessional. The trainers are great but the receptionist staff are horrible. They are the face of the gym and they really let the place down. After speaking to other members it seems to be the general opinion that they have rude staff so not just me that has constant bad experiences with them

Negative experience: We were members of the gym and took our daughter for her first swimming lessons here. The swim teacher Blanche is amazing! Unfortunately the poor customer service, the random debits from our account - that weren’t able to be identified and the lack of gym facilities and classes have caused us to cancel everything. When questioning why there were extra debits From my account I was made to feel as if I was being a bother which is unacceptable. I see from other reviews I’m not the first to find the customer service on reception terrible.

Positive experience: The kids had swimming lessons here and the teachers they had were fabulous. They also enjoyed the free swim afterwards but the pool was usually quite crowded. Change rooms were just OK and whenever I tried the showers they were cold. The main thing to know, as others have said, is be very careful you’re not overcharged especially when you need to cancel a direct debit.

Fantastic experience: Been going to the gym here for almost a year now and I can say that it is absolutely fantastic. The staff are friendly, talkative, and are always there to help and assist. There is an enormous amount of space to work out with plenty of equipment, and the restrooms/changing rooms are immaculate. Top notch facility

Negative experience: update 19/92023 - School Holidays time and the rapid river and the slide are CLOSED !!! for maintenance, website shows rapid river open, we didnt realise until we got in its all roped off which was disapointing, with school holidays its unfortunate that no scheduled maintenance could have been done prior to the holidays to sort any issues. Didnt see anyone working on anything while we were there. Two years ago... Great spot. Plenty off street parking. Lit up after dark. There is a full gym on site. Coffee shop has decent hot chips otherwise very minimal option does have a nice pergola area with tables and chairs. Plenty of space around the pool to drop your gear under shade. Changerooms are clean and tidy with endless free HOT showers. There is an awesome waterside that costs extra if you want to go on it, lots of fun. Rapid river is great.

Facilities and pool kept very clean. 8-16 lanes to chose from ranging from 25-50m depending on the day. You'll be hard pressed to be swimming in the same lane with another person!

Fantastic experience: Had our scout group breakup here with about 120 children and 100 adults and staff were great on the night and with the booking.

Positive experience: We had a really fun time at Albany Creek Leisure Centre, the staff were really helpful and friendly to us. We liked the different foods from the café, the different equipment at the gym and serving at reception. We hope that the construction is done soon so we can see the new renovations and so it’s less noisy. We highly recommend this place to everyone

The staff are lovely, the swim instructors are excellent, and there are great spaces for kids to run around while siblings are in lessons (or even play in the splash pool during warmer months)

Negative experience: WOW.. just WOW..... HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED . I payed 50 effing dollar to get into this old run down pool with one dodgey slide and an overcrowded pool....Do yourself a favour and keep driving south to SPLASH at Chermside... it's a quarter of the cost and gives wet and wild a run for its money. NEVER WILL I RETIRN TO ALBANY CREEK OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE EVER!

Fantastic experience: This pool has everything you need including heated pools with plenty of free lanes and a cafe. The facilities are clean and well maintained. They have a really cool kids pool too with slide and rapid river.

Fantastic experience: Great for lap swimming, the pool is the perfect temperature and the kids love the kids area with slide and whirl pool. Pretty much go every weekend because of their reasonable prices.

Fantastic experience: So good to be back in the pool! Have recently joined for the pool and gym and this is a great facility. Some of the paint might be a little faded, but that's just aesthetics - the staff are great, the pool is clean and the gym is the best-equipped 24hr gym I've ever seen.
