Fantastic experience: I wasn't even a student of the university but I still attended this gym. It's quite a large gym and offers a range of classes offered all-day every-day that suit a variety of people. Pricing was quite competitive and the location is convenient, with gym parking available free of charge.

Fantastic experience: excellent facility, clean and well maintained. always busy though, especially after hours. unless you come during uni breaks. love the badminton court, and they have both indoor and outdoor swiming pool.

Fantastic experience: Macquarie University gym has been renovated in the past few years with various sport, gym, fitness class facilities, an Olympic sized swimming pool outside, and indoor pool. Anyone can get a membership, but it's cheaper for students. I felt it was a venue which was at a high standard, if one were to be living in the area I'd recommend it ~

Fantastic experience: New equipment in gym is killer sharp, feels like a whole new gym. Staff are all very friendly and always willing to help out with machines and show you techniques. Pool can get busy, best to go at odd hours of the day.

Positive experience: Would be nice if they answered their phones when trying to enquire about lane availability rather than turning up to be told no lane is available. The format on their website for lane availability is also very confusing. Just answer the phones please

Positive experience: I have been going to this gym for the past 6 years. Some staff are nice while some are rude for no reason (well, there probably are some obvious reasons related to the concept of preconceived notions) but the facilities are great so yeah, mixed bag. I suppose some sensitivity training for the staff wouldn’t hurt along with some people skills training as well.

Positive experience: POOL: The 50m outdoor pool is excellent. The water quality and temperature is maintained to the highest standard. CHANGE ROOMS:The change rooms, showers and toilets are clean and appear to be well sanitised. WARNING do not leave clothing or valuables inside the change room I had an expensive pair of shoes stolen and have been made aware of ongoing reports of thieves within the premises. GYMNASIUM: The equipment is tired and has not been upgraded for 10 years maintenance and or replacement of worn out equipment is minimal,. Sub standard in comparison to other facilities in the area. PARKING: Parking is expensive and a major hassle. Beware of the parking marshals in the golf carts do not overstay your allotted time as you will receive a significant fine. MEMBERSHIP: Membership is expensive at an annual cost of $1,200.00. When you compare this with similar State of the Art facilities in the area at an annual membership around $800.00 with free parking within a short walk inclusive. STAFF: The majority of the staff are friendly, helpful and professional in their approach. However at reception / customer service there is a element of bad attitude, as a warning do not disturb them whilst they are doing their online fashion shopping as they will feel put out and escalate's the ongoing bad attitude towards members. The customer service is absolutely atrocious. SUMMARY: Expensive, Out of date equipment, Major Parking hassles, the centre is closed for extended periods, Long weekends, public holidays, Christmas / New Year and also unavailable for the 6 week school carnival season and during these times you are still charged your full membership fee. The 50m outdoor pool is excellent however there are several much cheaper options in the area that are just as good.

Fantastic experience: Wow. One of the best places for physical activities. Whether it be swimming or squash, you will love the place. Plenty of parking as well. There is provision for sports accessories as well. Courteous staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to MQ sport & Aquatic Centre for few years now and I have not once been disappointed. They have some incredible facilities at the gym which includes multiple group fitness classes to cater everyone's need both at the club and online. All the group fitness instructors at the club are great but I personally connected the most with Anna Biddiscombe. Anna is encouraging, committed, hard working and possess some vast knowledge of her profession. A huge thank you for the amazing job! :)

Fantastic experience: Good clean modern gym split into a large room with plenty of ellipticals, treadmills and other cardio machines, a large room with plenty of machines for doing flys, cable work etc, two outdoor areas for free weights and benching etc and various other spaces for yoga and stretching. Oh and there is a small female area so you don’t have to worry about us sweaty guys pumping sets right next to you and smelling like lynx deodorant. They have both an indoor 25m pool and outdoor 50m pool with lots of lanes for swimming separated by speed so if you want to take it slow and easy you don’t have to worry about some competitive swimmer coming up behind you and vice versus. Actually come to think of it they also have a couple courts for squash and are set up for halls to have badminton, table tennis, basketball, Futsal and some kind of martial arts. This place is huge!!! They also have group fitness rooms for all your funky classes. The cafe there is nice, I would recommend the BLAT burger highly. Lots of parking in the area but it does get busy. Staff and patrons are friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Pros : What a beautiful music they play! Loads of equipments. Outdoors & indoors swimming pool. All sections are divided and defined. Outdoor area for gym and fresh air. Staffs are awesome. Training sessions always on.Always there is some gym & swimming clothes on sale. Member ship is good and cheap compared to others if taken annually. There is a snack shop open till late evening for a quick bite. Overall it's a cool place. Timings are 7 days a week and open till late. Cons : Quality of the bottle & bag provided could be and need to be better.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are awesome - helped me when all I needed was a quick use of the shower before a presentation on campus. I then decided to sign up given how good the staff were and I’ve never looked back! The facilities are amazing especially given the gym and all the equipment. It can get a little busy during the 3-6pm dash but if you want to get a quick workout in between classes it’s perfect. Really conveniently located though parking is often a challenge if you don’t think ahead. Totally recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: A great gym and pool. I transferred from Fitness First about six months ago very happy with decision although the new parking arrangements are very disappointing, the free two hours should be restored The new parking app is very ordinary.
