Positive experience: Wonderful place with the kids!! The cafe is amazing food, coffee, and such lovely people working there! My kids have been doing swimming lessons over the last ten years and I have sent letters of compliments quite a few times, as they have excellent instructors but they have helped facilitate the best times for our family many many times, for which I’m so thankful! We spend so many hours there without a care for leaving, it is very easy going!

Fantastic experience: Good gym and pool facilities with an extensive group fitness classes schedule to meet people’s needs. Cafeteria is spot on and the overall experience is very satisfactory.

Fantastic experience: Outdoor heated pool. 2 indoor pool. Indoor and outdoor kids pool. Good cafe with a view. Gets busy on Saturday and Sunday morning due to swim school. There’s a lot of parking which is rare for an Inner West pool.

Positive experience: The place is fine, but trying to contact staff during opening hours by telephone is often impossible and there is no email address. Website note particularly easy to navigate.

Fantastic experience: Best public pool in the inner west Sydney region. If you want to swim in the two indoor pools a quick call is best as learn to swim trainers take at least a few lanes and sometimes all lanes !!

Positive experience: Friendly staff. Pool is never to busy and nice and warm in the morning

Negative experience: Was my first time there, $28 entry fee only to be kicked out 10 minutes later for not having a towel. Why do they not provide towels? More importantly, the lazy woman at reception should be telling people they need towels before subtracting almost $30 out of my bank account! I was actually going to get a membership with them as I am new to the area. But now I will use my corporate discount through work to go to one of the commercial gyms. Bugger off

Fantastic experience: The history I was adding was not from Leichhardt it was from Ian Thorpe aquatic centre. Leichhardt is amazing. Because I lost all my cards from Ian Thorpe I was not able to do my payment and the staff was extremely supportive.my apologies for the confusion.

Fantastic experience: Such a great pool on a hot day, fantastic cafe and staff. Great facilities with shade and just that classic community pool I remember as a kid.

Positive experience: The aquatic centre is a very good place to send kids for lessons and it is also a very good way to cool down on a hot day.

Negative experience: The awful front desk ladies hit a new low today abusing my husband when he was trying to take our sons swimming. I don’t know how they still have jobs. Any public company would performance manage their team for such poor childish behavior.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I came for a quick swim. The facilities are clean and well maintain for such a large public pool. The price was $19 for us both, and had some lovely burgers in the caff afterwards.

Negative experience: Very disappointing two of my favorite classes have completely vanished from the gyms current timetable for no apparent reason very sad as I have enjoyed them immensely no one can explain why?

Positive experience: I go here regularly. It's well priced with a variety of facilities to choose from. Often it could do with being cleaner, both in the pool and in the showers and toilets.

Negative experience: Such an irresponsible swimming school, cancelled our kid’s class after 5 years attending weekly classes - informed us only a few days before start of the term. Where is our child supposed to find a new class with such short notice?

Negative experience: My 5 year and 7 year olds aren't allowed to play in the shallow pool without me being within arms reach ... literally. I am not allowed to sit down and maintain eye contact, instead I need to slowly pace around the pool, constantly getting splashed and being in the way. What kind of dumb rule is that??

Negative experience: Leaving this review exclusively because of the Inner West Fitness Pass program. I have been finding it impossible to cancel my membership. Ended up clicking around on the website forever through a web of useless hyperlinks only to find the 'login' page via clicking the link to buy a new membership. Googling 'Inner west fitness pass login page' comes up with nothing. Once logged in and trying to find the option to cancel 'account' doesn't have the option, 'my profile' doesn't the option. I call up and apparently the only way to cancel is to go in in person or send an email to the enquiries line. None of this is mentioned anywhere. Unbelievably frustrating to cancel this expensive membership. Please update your website ASAP.

Negative experience: First time using the gym facilities today, very nice location and equipment. Was working out without towel but had only been using one set of equipment (which is my bad, it was in my locker room, but I should have had towel with me) and was approached and scolded by Rossetta for not having a towel and was condescendingly told I had been told many times before. When I explained it was my first time here, I was told she doubted it and continued to be rude. Appalling treatment to be approached in this way, scolded like a child, and called a liar - what a first time experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a back injury that causes constant pain, and I’ve been coming here daily to use the hydrotherapy pool. This place is saving my sanity, the only time I am comfortable is in the pool. The staff are friendly and the facilities are great. Highly recommend if you are looking to get back into swimming or fitness. Kid friendly and a great location.

Fantastic experience: Played a lot of fun underwater rugby here over the years. Always good vibes and friendly service. People at the front desk are also quite lovely and the centre has happily supported our lovely and funny little sport over the years. The outdoor pools are especially lovely in the summer. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: The place is quite nice. Unfortunately impossible to get the kids into swim school here for 2 years in a row. Outside of swim school hours the individual pools are randomly closed or occupied for classes that are not advertised. You just have to show up and ask at the counter, noting that they don't always know what's going on because you've got to get in first and ask the supervisor.

Fantastic experience: I recently attended this venue as an out of area visitor. My review is aimed mainly at the service of the staff. I had some misunderstandings on the day regarding facility use and Paula and her team really made efforts not only to put up with my impatience with superb customer service but offer a solution for my problem with clarity and good will. Would be so great of more public centers were staffed with such good calibre customer service, will definitely return if ever in the area

Negative experience: TERRIBLE customer service. the front desk lady was rude and discourteous. we had an appalling experience and will never be returning again, i will be telling my friends who also go here. My daughters have been doing swimming lessons here for years now, never had this happen. You’ve just lost several long term customers. please Do NOT swim here!

Positive experience: Refreshing views outdoor pool.freindly lifeguard .the area envirement found it very dry people they to smile and chill out.the coffe wasn't a great taste .also need to have a freindlier customer service. The pool in the morning most of it is empty find it rediculas that we cant swim till 11 30. Its winter we need indoor .

Fantastic experience: This is a great place for everyone lt has a gym, yoga and pilates classes. There are 2 large pools, one being for diving. lndoors caters for babies and children who can play and/or take swimming lessons

Positive experience: What can I say but I train here. Staff are helpful and friendly. Equipment does the job but not new. I regularly freak out using the tread mill when jogging as realising there’s a dam camera watching my every average move. Lights in the gym are seriously annoying. They’re designed to show case the equipment but fail for users because the lights blind you. And that’s not ideal when your tummy may be a little big.

Fantastic experience: This is one of best aquatic centres. Love the set up of 3 outdoor and 3 indoor pools. Nicely set above the Parramatta river. Always have lovely summer days here.

Negative experience: I come here every week at least once & order fish n chips formy kids everytime. Last week we found a short hair in our food (we all have long) so I took the box back politely to reveal the hair inside. The guy went to kitchen & returned saying that it "couldn't be them as his guy was wearing a hair net". Only thing is that when food was ready to collect, he had no hair net on. I am shocked that he refused to replace the fish and I had to waste my money & throw it away. Appaling customer service, especially for one working in hospitality.

Positive experience: Perfect for a hot day unfortunately due to lack of staff, the 'mushroom' pool is always closed, most the pools were used up for classes other than the baby/toddler pool. For $20 a family there isn't really anywhere to splash and have fun

Fantastic experience: Spent Endless summers here as a child right through to the present, Now Grandparenthood. Was a member of the Diving Squad, completed my Gold Medallion there amongst many of my friends whom also frequently still visit. Guaranteed I'll run into some old friend for a chat, Leichhardt Pool, Now known as Leichhardt Aquatic Centre is not only a fitness and swimming hub. It's also a meeting point for friends and familues, young and old.

Fantastic experience: I have been swimming at this pool for over 35 years. I am happy to say that it's one of my favourite pools in Sydney. Beside the pool, there is a great gym and a good coffee shop that serves good coffee and food - which is needed especially after a long swim. There is also a small shop to buy swimming gear from. After a swim I like to sit on the hill and overlook the lovely vistas of the Iron Cove. Just a shame that going to the pool has become so expensive.

Fantastic experience: A really nice outdoor pool, with a few indoor pools also. It's fairly quiet so you will get lots of space for yourself, especially if you are doing laps. Overall the whole complex is a little dated but it's still nice being outdoors, and the staff were really friendly which is why I still gave it 5 stars. Actually that said the gym equipment is quite new and there is an impressive selection of weight machines, so if you are also going to the gym this one is especially good. There were diving boards but it is closed for repair, probably not anytime soon.

Fantastic experience: A number of facilities are provided by the Inner West Council. The main centre, Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre has a six swimming areas catering to needs of both adults and children as well as a range of fitness classes. There is also a child minding centre and a café. Open 7 days a week. What's not to like

Positive experience: This place is great they have two indoor heated pools and an outdoor pool plus a diving pool. The gym is also really clean and updated major down side is the never ending swim school that uses up all the lanes in the indoor heated pools. They say there's always a land available for laps but from 3.30 to 6.30p.m. no lanes are available just full with kids.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Aquatic Centre, staff are friendly, Gym is always clean, great selection of weights and machines along with classes. Close to lightrail, ample parking is available onsite along with bicycle parking and free lockers. We use the indoor heated pool for our little one and the outdoor heated pool for laps ourselves, there is also good outdoor areas with grass for picnics of which the cafe has a great selection of food to make things easy for a day at the pool!

Positive experience: Swim or learn to swim. Extensive, friendly, competent, empathetic staff. Great lessons for kids of all ages. As a supervising grandparent, the air in the indoor pool is crazy hot and humid. But the kiddos can swim, so I am not complaining

Positive experience: The Strong Seniors classes are very good - Val C & Rosetta are to be commended but wow the IT issues trying to book online are horrendous. I've been hearing complaints about the IT issues from other class attendees which are clearly not being addressed by LPAC & today I experienced it first hand. I rang to report the issue & the staff gave me the run around until I finally asked to speak to the supervisor who apologised for the IT problems & booked my husband & I into the class over the phone. Staff members were telling me they could not book casuals into classes over the phone which was very frustrating & discriminatory. I was asked to email screen shots of all the IT problems which I have and will submit to the supervisor. Then the people who attend the classes...Unwelcoming to the point of being hostile. We were told by a class attendee that basically we should not be at the class because of our lack of technique & that we needed "one on one personal training." I suspicion we received this "friendly advice" because places are limited due to Covid & the friend group were not getting their sessions because they were not booking early enough. My husband & I are not training for the Olympics here...just trying to get a workout without judgement thanks...

Positive experience: It's in a nice place. The big outdoor pool it self needs a make over, you can feel where the crack tiles are underneath the pool water are. Still love going there.

Negative experience: Went for casual swimming on Saturday morning, grumpy middle aged man on reception informed me they didn't have any lanes open and that no pool in NSW would be open on Saturday mornings (in Summer) due to swim squad. Went to Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre where 4 lanes were open.

Positive experience: OK. Nothing special. Facilities average. A bit overpriced. If you are mainly interested in using the gym, there are much better deals around.

Positive experience: Reasonably priced local pool including access to gym. The hydrotherapy pool was closed for construction - so only the outdoor pool, children pool and one indoor pool was available. A lot of kids swimming. Cafe available onsite.
