Fantastic experience: Signed up after a walk through on Saturday after chatting the phone with Kristy earlier in the week who was so helpful - really love the facilities and everything that is on offer! I have 2 kids and so creche has been awesome to have, my 2yo loves it and they were so kind helping with my 3month old! Every visit my husband and I've had since signing up has been amazing. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Strand Fitness NorthShore is the beat gym out! Honestly the ladies behind reception are phenomenal. Not only are they great receptionist but also are amazing to have a chat to. No matter what they are always there. 5 stars just is not enough to justify how great they are.

Negative experience: Doesn't matter how many times you tell the staff who the manager Dean or actually tell Dean the AC in this gym is not set to 18 or any decent temperature for summers in Townsville. Most times on the floor it's 30 degrees. It's ridiculous for the money people spend that you are more interested in saving on AC and getting aggressive in tone when asked. Everyone I know that goes here had experienced this but nothing changes. Could be an awesome gym if you thought about your clients not just $. Is it 2026 ut will be fixed or perhaps 2028?

We have also sent you an email that has been opened but remains unanswered.As we haven't been able to discuss this review with you, we'll take the opportunity to address your main concern in your review on here.The aircon system at North Shore is set to 22 degrees and is to ensure the comfort of the majority of our members. In addition to the aircon systems, we have fans throughout the gym. Although you might not personally think our gym is cold enough, some members think it is too cool and as a result, we get member requests to turn the fans off in areas they are training in.The main aircon systems at North Shore run 24 hours a day, with certain sections like The Haven, sauna, and functional zone on a push-to-start function - as these areas aren't always utilised. Our BMS (building management system) that monitors the aircon system also reflects the 22 degree temperature we have it set on.You have previously spoken to the owner, general manager, and other staff regarding your requests to make the aircon 18 degrees to suit your personal preferences. As explained on these occasions, it is not possible to meet your request and the reasons why.We would love to discuss your concerns with you further and your membership moving forward and encourage you to send an email to [email protected] . We will also require you to either send us an email or stop by reception to update your contact details on file for health, safety, and insurance purposes.Kind regards,Strand Fitness Management
