The improvement to my numbers and especially my technique has blown me away - I am coached by Jase online so it absolutely proves that coaching virtually can work really well with a great coach, open communication & check ins. Really happy with my coaching and will be continuing as a client of Coach Jase leading into another comp in 2024. Highly recommend Jase as a powerlifting coach his knowledge and experience in this area is just amazing.

They have made me feel welcome every time I am in town and couldn’t recommend them enough

I get really bad gym anxiety, and was a bit apprehensive about joining this "big scary gym", but honestly the staff have been so nice and welcoming, they go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. Even the other members of the gym have be so lovely and helpful. Very different to alot of the commercial gyms around town, I'm never having to fight for a piece of equipment. I would hands down recommend Nexus to anyone looking for a new gym with a great atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Training at Valhalla Townsville for more than 1 and a half years has redefined my outlook on strength and fitness. Brad has a no-nonsense and simplistic, but devastatingly effective mindset when it comes to the game of getting strong, whether it is general training advise and personal coaching, or powerlifting periodisation and comp preparation programming, if it is not worth asking, knowing or doing, he does not entertain it. This has shown time and time again with members, past and present, who are shattering records with the best yet to come. Jess is the glue that holds the atmosphere of Valhalla together and it shows with the unrivalled support and a community that has been developed throughout Valhalla's short but thriving service to the Townsville area. Whether you are interested in a competition, workshop, group training or Valhalla communal events, Jess is the go-to for having a goal to work towards or getting out on the odd occasion for a fun social outing. Valhalla is the only training facility in Townsville that provides the highest quality equipment for powerlifting, this includes all regulated bars, calibrated plates and monolift/benches for a legitimate competition training experience. Team Valhalla is unmatched when it comes to community. Encouragement and praise are all good... but it's not going to save you in a squat if things get hairy, hand out your bench when things get heavy, or crank the music when pulling a deadlift, and none of that matters if the members don't have a clue. At Valhalla the members are invested in their own training, along with everyone else's, with the majority either highly proficient in safety spotting, qualified coaches or state level powerlifting judges, there is no doubt that your safety under the bar will match the intensity you need to get stronger. I highly suggest you stop working out with the second best and join the strongest team in Australian powerlifting.

Positive experience: Quite a neat little box/gym. We attend the yearly powerlifting comps held hear by the owners. This year's GPC comp was great and other than some minor issue which could happen to anybody, the overall event was organised and run very well. They have also organised a food truck to be available outside which was a good touch.
