World Gym Townsville

Negative experience: Super unimpressed with how the staff are acknowledging and greeting me when I walk in. Whenever I walk in the staff look me up and down, don’t say hello and act as though I don’t exist. This also happens when I leave the gym. I just dampens my workout session as it makes me feel more self conscious and embarrassed as though I ‘look funny’. What happened to the old team that greeted and asked members how they were going each time with no hesitation.

Negative experience: Very rude staff members, I was tryna purchase a new tag and when I asked three of the staff members if it was possible if I could get one they then gave me attitude and started asking me questions in a tone to make it seem like I was stupid. This ruin my day and my workout at this gym

Negative experience: Spoke to staff 2 weeks ago about joing and paying upfront. They got back to 10,days later and asked me to come into the gym to discuss packages. I turned up on Saturday and the girl I spoke to stated that the cheapest she could do is a renewal price of 770, I said that is still too expensive for me, and she said well that's what it is go else where. If you want it, cheaper and dismissed the conversation and left. This is something that could of been said on the phone or email, but I had to waste my time by driving to the gym for a 5 min conversation with someone in a condescending tone.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym! There's a wide variety of free weights and plate loaded/weight stack machines. The staff is always friendly and cheerful. 24/7 access is always a plus too!

The gym is also very well organised and adheres to hygiene protocols, which is reassuring. The availability of personal training and other fitness services is an added bonus. Overall, World Gym Townsville is an outstanding gym that offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get fit or improve their fitness routine!

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility, huge spaces so you don’t feel crammed in, plenty of equipment and very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend training here.

Negative experience: The gym itself is fine, but if you need to use the crèche and you live in Townsville, it’s not the best option. I highly recommend going with Strand Fitness instead. P.S. The World Gym in Caloundra has supportive staff at the crèche, but unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the one in Townsville.

Fantastic experience: Amazing shakes - highly reccomend the Biscoff to hit those protein macros & satify the sweet tooth Creche facility is one of the best I've been too, both my kids love their time at World Gym Townsville and it's ridiculously affordable

Fantastic experience: Been to a lot of gyms as I travel a lot, World Gym Townsville is very spacious with modern equipment with good upkeep and friendly staff and members. Will be back and recommended.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym with a variety of equipment. It lives up to its reputation, in my opinion.

Negative experience: Signed up to a month membership thinking it was only for a month and would discontinue after that month unless otherwise initiated. Realized 4 months later that was not the case and I have been paying membership this whole time. Called and was told month by month means that it just continues to roll over. This was not explained to me in the initial sign up and the only compromise offered is that instead of the 4 weeks notice needed they would accept 2 weeks. Which if 4 weeks notice is needed to cancel how is that month by month anyway? Also watch out for the hidden $65 sign up fee which wasn’t explained to me until I’d already signed up.

Negative experience: They lie and let a 16 year old think they are signing a 3 month membership, when I and my son said we would only be in Townsville for 4 months, hence why we asked for a 3 month subscription. Turns out it was a 6 month membership and then they want $200 to cancel the membership and if he doesn't pay this or the $20 a week for membership he can't use , they will send debt collectors after him . Their gym stinks and not cleaned properly either . Every time he's gone in ,they are always too busy to show him around or do his free welcome health check thing . Complete waste of money and a hard lesson for our son to learn NOT to trust people on their word . Just total scum at the Fairfield world gym

Fantastic experience: I’ve done a couple of classes at the gym now and I really love it! I mostly like the fact that everything is so spread out, so you’re not feeling crowded on machines / equipment. Also it’s not super busy most of the time. The group fitness classes I’ve done have great instructors. And the fact that I can use the group fitness room with an online instructor eg Body Balance, and do it at my own pace / time? Super helpful. Also the shower area is very clean! And the sauna is great to wind down after a workout.

Fantastic experience: Quality gym with quality equipment, staff are friendly. And amenities are clean and tidy. Would recommend to anyone 100 %

Positive experience: WG Townsville is now one of my stops each week on my run north and have to say they have a great little facility here. Bathrooms setup well & clean. Staff have also been very friendly.

Fantastic experience: Visited Townsville between 16 Nov to 20 Nov and it was awesome to know World Gym was part of fitness passport. The staff were lovely, great hammer strength / life fitness equipment and not as busy even in afternoons in weekdays. Will surely come back here if I come to Townsville again.

Fantastic experience: Lucas at World Gym Townsville is so unbelievably awesome it is not funny. World Gym Townsville is lucky to have him. Lucas is so friendly and engaging. Talk about charisma. Just as importantly, Lucas makes the best Pumped Berry on Almond with "No Whey" Jose chocolate powder smoothies in the world. I rate him 25 out of 10.

Negative experience: Absolute joke of a gym staff are useless permanently unable to go to a gym and staff are nothing but heartless will be sending this to acc Update the gym has not attempted to work with me even tho I’m medically unfit to train and don’t even live in the same state anymore be ware of joining world gym! Hannah is a joke of a manager!

Negative experience: Some of the staff we amazing and some would look down at you. After our member ship ran out we were still getting charged even though we were told when we signed up as soon as the member ship expired the payments would stop. I called them multiple time and each time it would be a different answer then I emailed the management multiple times without a reply then we got told that we would still have to pay 30 days after it expired.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, good range of equipment, friendly helpful staff, good policies in place for safety and peak hour usage. World gym TSV is of high quality and the brand speaks for itself.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym with a huge variety of equipment for beginners to advanced. Have gone early AM and various times through to evening and the vibe is great. Definitely a gym I visit frequently when I'm staying there for work

Negative experience: Good gym however extremely disappointed with that staff member who didn’t want to help. I was only traveling in Townsville for a couple of days and lost my tag during my trip the young lady didn’t want to give me another tag, the next day was a public holiday so couldn’t even access the gym ! She pretty much said I had to go back to the Gold Coast to my home gym to get a new tag.

Fantastic experience: It’s a great gym with great equipment and great staff. The water bubbler does takes a while to fill your bottle, but small grievances aside, it is definitely the best gym in Townsville.

Fantastic experience: Came here for a day pass. And it was amazing. Guys, this place is for workout. Just 2 showers, small changing rooms but very high rated equipment. Every machine you know and a great functional area. This place has a focus on your workout. I will come again when I'm in town. The staff is friendly and the people on the training court are friendly too. No posing, no looking after the workout of others. Amazing place!

Negative experience: I would have give a negative star rating if there was an option. I called and mailed them that I am moving out from Townsville and would like to cancel my membership and told them that I would still pay until my contract expires. I called them so many times and they asked me to mail again with no replies and later I was asked to pay for another 30 days as a notice period. Such a shame for such a big reputed gym. Anyways thank you so much. I hope there won’t be any deductions from my account after this notice period.

Positive experience: I joined over a year ago expecting to just use the free weights and do my own thing etc. then I discovered their group classes! In my first class the instructor clearly knew her regulars and recognised me as a newby so came and introduced herself and checked for any pre-existing injuries. I had a blast and have found all the instructors to be so welcoming, informative and motivating. Now I’m addicted and work my daily schedule around my gym classes! I love that you are greeted by reception every time (it really gives a welcoming feel and I don’t feel like just another number) and I love the passion the instructors have for not just giving you a great workout, but a safe one too. Keep up the great work WGT crew :-)

Fantastic experience: World Gym is conveniently located at Idalia with plenty of parking. Open 24/7, reception opens early and close late. Gym floor is very specious, cardio hub is on the gallery overlooking the floor. Separate class rooms. Gym has their own shop and coffee, staff is very friendly. World Kids (crèche) is very equipped, plenty of fun for the kids. Gym is always nice, clean & tidy.

Positive experience: Awesome gym, great environment. Reception staff have great customer service. Only downfall would be some unused gym equipment that could replace with new things (pendulum squat)

Fantastic experience: World Gym Townsville Group Fitness Classes are great. The instructors are engaging and encouraging. Always look forward to Yoga, Body Balance and Body Pump. Gym staff are friendly a great place to be consistent with personal fitness!

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym couldn’t be any better in my opinion. I’m travelling down the east coast and did a drop in workout. Spoke to a lad called Brayden who was super helpful and extremely polite what a credit to this business. Great gym with very clean facilities and showers. Big thumbs up from me.

Positive experience: Its got most machines you’d ever need for training and has sufficient squat racks and a couple deadlifting platforms. However, it’s a fairly busy gym even late at night at 9pm.

Negative experience: The admin and mangament here is a joke. My parnter and I had a 6 month contract that stopped in early February this year. We were then charged again in March, we called up to see why and were told even though the contract had finished we didn't contact them to say we wanted to cancel, so we did my partner and I both sent emails to the address we were given saying we wanted to cancel to which case we were told okay, done. However, we have now been charged AGAIN in April and when we emailed asking why we received 'Because we said we would'... followed by absolutely no other explanation! We have not even attended that gym since February as we no longer live in Townsville. What an absolute joke! Honestly 0/5 stars.

Positive experience: Lots of equipment and shops open early 4 that needy breakfast smoothie

Positive experience: I love world Gym, I also like a cold drink, preferably sugar free and COLD. No sugar free Gatorade. All other drinks were hot like they had just been put in. Told young guy at counter. He shrugged. Sorry guys not good enough there. Great everywhere else.

Positive experience: Go there quite often and the staff are quite nice. Never had a bad experience so far that wasn't an accident or me being stupid. Only issue I have is the vending machine. Please, don't forget a bottle, or you'll be leaving whether you can keep hydrated or not entirely up to chance.

Fantastic experience: Very good equipment, all maintained really well. Not to mention, tons of equipment, pec decs, leg presses, racks, benches, and almost everything inbetween. Unfortunately they don't have a hip thrust machine, which sucks because every gym should have one, but if you don't really care about that then it's otherwise really good. Edit: Well Sh*t

Fantastic experience: Great gym, loads of equipment, friendly service and staff, has a cafe and protein powders if your into that kind of thing, includes classes in membership, 24/7 access, has a bike spin room. Ardi the manager is wicked helpful. Has personal trainers. Even has a mini sauna in the bathroom (selling point for me ) although it can only got one person at a time . But super impressed. Best gym I've ever been to.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a weekly pass as my gym is closed most days over the Xmas break and was able to get a 24 hour a day pass for 7 days at a really good price. Had a great range of equipment and heaps of space. If they weren't so far away from my house I would definitely sign up there for sure
