Fantastic experience: Well equipped. I highly recommend this gym.

Negative experience: I'd give this place a zero if I could. Terminated my membership and couldn't prove in the terms and conditions that I had 'breached'. Would rather block you and terminate your membership than deal with harassment by other gym members.

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms in town always love training there, great equipment and great layout. I live a long way from this gym but when ever I'm in town I make sure to stop in for a session

Fantastic experience: Great vibe, everyone is really friendly, the equipment is well maintained and there's heaps of it, so you rarely need to wait for a piece of equipment to free up.

Negative experience: The 2 star is for my trainer not the gym, if I could rate her separately i would!No classes, expensive! run by a pack of teenage girls who can't stop twirling thier hair playing very loud music that gives ya a epileptic fit wired bash trance rav music on high can't hear the trainer I pay for m! nothing with rhythm, beat, or base it puts ya off trying to do a set. Oh but go ask them to change it and they'll give you a mouth full worst gym I've ever been to.. there is bigger better and cheaper I would rather go to world gym ️‍♀️

Negative experience: Georgia the manager of muscle and fitness is absolutely disgraceful to the company. She's rude, unsettling and nasty. You ask her for help and she just directs you to an email of the owner because she can't do her job.

Fantastic experience: The gym has lots of new equipment and there's more new equipment to come . They have also put in new air-conditioning . Everyone is very friendly at this gym, unlike other gyms I've been too .

Negative experience: Wish I’d read the recent reviews. No AC in the middle of summer in Nth QLD is a joke. Absolute sweat pit. Thankfully only bought a casual session. Travel to Townsville regularly and will never return.

Negative experience: Airconditioning and ventilation issues, amenities have the same problem. The equipment and staff are great, but it’s impossible to workout without working airconditioning…

Negative experience: The place is insanely hot due to them being to cheap to turn the aircon up. And if you go after hours its revolting as theirs no aircons, and the fand are on low or switched off completely. This is the tropics. Equiptment is old and they have no curved treadmills, just cheap mechacal ones. Its not cgeap to sign up but the will treat you like your on a budget membership.

Fantastic experience: This gym is as well equipped as any gym in Brisbane. Has a weekly rate for much cheaper than any of their competitors around. Cough cough Snap fitness $15 a session even if your only working in the area a week.

Negative experience: The owners seem nice enough. They don't offer a first free try out session. I was asked to pay if I wanted to work out which was a bit of joke. So I opted for a little walk and look around. The equipment seemed like early 2000s equipment, teared seats and just not in good maintained condition. Wouldn't pay what they are asking for and locking in when I can go train at 1million strong with good, new and well maintained equipment. Each to their own though. I know there are a lot of loyal M&F gym goers. Literally walked in looked at the state of the equipment and ran out.

Fantastic experience: This gym feels like a second home, the staff all greet you and the creche carers are exceptional. I trust everyone there and always feel like I'm cared for! Shoutout to James for being the light of the room when greeting everyone and Kristy and Sue in the creche for always taking care of my little girl while I get some training done. They also offer a range of classes with different styles to suit every individual and a range of personal trainers to accommodate your goals. 10/10 and always my second home xo

Fantastic experience: I have been working-out reguallary for many years. A car accident paralysed the left hand side of my body. The staff and other gym members have never made comment or feel uneasy to workout comfortably and enjoy my workout. So if you are unsure to join, I recommend you join muscle and fitness, then consider purpurchasing a yearly membership. Also pay off your membership if finances are a bit tight and speak to your health to see if you can claim a rebate on your health membership?

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff and plenty of variety of equipment. I love the fact that there are so many different varieties of people working out so you don't feel like a lost sole in a muscle haven. The bathroom is clean and neat and welcoming with a lounge and sauna on top of regular facilities. Music is not to loud and there are a few TV's in front of the treadmills so you have something to watch or distract you if like me and you need it.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with extensive equipment , has a sauna too for detox . Can be a little crowded during peak times but it's such a large gym that you will always get something to work out on , you will always get a treadmill or stepper or cardio machine as they have heaps , the staff are always very welcoming . I think it's the longest established gym in Townsville . Direct debit weekly is the cheapest in Townsville for membership , I know as I've been to all the others , 13 something dollars per week , no lock in contract just a 100 dollar termination fee , which is fair if you want to cancel . Membership lets you use their Kirwan gym too which isn't as big but has a huge range of equipment , and also both gyms you can use 24 hours a day after they induct you for safety which takes a couple of minutes . You can't beat muscle and fitness for value , consistency , range , friendly helpful staff and access . Very deserving of a five star rating .

Negative experience: Overcrowded..full of young steroid filled guys..not women friendly and very poor service

Negative experience: Bloody rude. I politely called and was offered a free workout to try the facilities. After driving all the way accross town I was told I could only train if I paid $15. The culture in the gym seems horrible anyway. Everyone was clearly using steroids. definitely avoid if you want a nice place to train.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate all the different equipment and facilities available at Muscle and Fitness. They have got an extremely wide variety of different types of equipment which is very much appreciated for everyone who has different abilities. All the staff are constantly very friendly and cooperative, making a persons visit all the more pleasant. There is also a wide and diverse range of personal trainers available. Which obviously suits persons of differing capabilities. I have found that I have not had to deal with any egomaniacs at this premise. Which no one should have to anyway. All the fellow gym attendees constantly maintain a civil attitude and level of respect for their fellow gym patrons. Which is certainly appreciated. This facility is a credit to the owners and I am happy to attend on a regular basis.

Positive experience: Now that I don't go to the gym I can be brutally honest. The equipment is very good and there is lots of it! Lots of different kinds of people go, from granny to steroid muncher. Very reasonable prices. Some of the staff are good and have never had any issues - however with some of the staff I feel like they could do with a customer service course - if you are staffed 24/7 and you are not currently dealing with customers a small 'hello' when entering the gym does not hurt (especially when they are next to the entrance) - instead I have seen staff sitting down reading the newspaper (more times than I can count). I have also had to remind them that dust has been collecting in areas for them to clean it up. Overall a great gym but a few basic principles let down.

Positive experience: Love to smash the gym here everytime I visit The 'Ville. Now manned 24hours which means as a casual visitor I can workout after hours. HUGE gym, heaps of machines and free weights. Sup shop out front
