Fantastic experience: First time visiting Melbourne Muscle, immediately greeted by a lovely staff member elle, she showed me around the gym, making me feel welcomed and well informed on everythings location. Loved the vibe, got that old grudge vibe with a community aspect. Will 100% be returning, especially for the recovery room which looks absolutely fantastic Definitely worth the visit.

Fantastic experience: Blown away by the culture of the gym, staff are very friendly equipment is fantastic and the recovery area is second to none!!

Negative experience: Gym is dirty. Much of the building is in disrepair. And If you cancel your membership they will just keep charging you until they deem otherwise. Seriously go to any other gym.

Fantastic experience: I was in the area for work and had heard about this gym ... So paid for a casual visit. Excellent equipment... The place is massive and has literally everything! Friendly people and lots of serious bodybuilders... Which I find really helps for motivation. Def recommend.

Fantastic experience: I frequent this Gym since a mate asked me to join. It is quite a friendly culture here with no egos. The ice bath sauna and spa are a great way to recover. There is plenty of equipment to murder yourself on. Enjoy.

Positive experience: It's a good gym with enough machines to use, and enough weights for everyone. The reason it's 3 stars is because the sauna use to be 24 hrs which now isn't and the spa and sauna are only open during office hours and only til 2.30pm on Saturdays which means you can't go on Sundays, the day which most 9-5ppl are free. Extending the sauna and spa opening hours would be amazing.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend Melbourne muscle. The environment of the gym is amazing from when you walk in through the front door. All the staff are so very welcoming and friendly and will always answer any questions you may have. Lots of variety for machines and free weights plus not to mention the immaculate recovery rooms and ice baths.

Fantastic experience: This gym is nuts, 10 bucks a week for a massive selection of equipment, insanely friendly atmosphere. And a brand newly refurbished cold dip, sauna and hot spa included as well as lockable lockers all free with 10 bucks a week. I don’t know why people go to any other gym. 5/5

Fantastic experience: Melbourne Muscle is the best gym I have been to and I wouldn't look for another one! Open 24hr/7 days a week, $20 a fortnight, massive selection of equipment and a sauna? It is an absolute bargain! Especially if you work shift-work. All the times I've been there. The staff are always so professional, friendly and helpful. I've never had one bad experience there and I've always felt so comfortable. I always recommend Melbourne Muscle whenever someone is looking for a new gym.

Fantastic experience: BEST GYM AROUND I’ve been a member to many gym over my adulthood but Melbourne Muscle in Bayswater is by far the best of them all. The Gym itself is huge and there are multiples of each machine so you’re never waiting on anyone. It’s also super spacious so even when it’s peek hour you always have a comfortable amount of space to yourself. The staff are also super friendly and on-top of maintenance so a piece of equipment is never out of commission for too long. 100% recommend this Gym to both pros and newcomers

I contacted them to politely request a refund for the remaining balance of my fully paid two-year gym membership. Regrettably, their response was far from satisfactory. Melbourne Muscle firmly adheres to a no refund policy for their paid upfront memberships, as stated during the sign-up process. They justified their stance by citing the ongoing lockdowns as circumstances that do not violate their original agreement. While I acknowledge their attempt to seek guidance from the ACCC to address their liability, it appears that they have failed to grasp the importance of treating consumers fairly in these exceptional circumstances. What adds to my disappointment is the apparent inflexibility of Melbourne Muscle's "strict policies." Despite the unprecedented times we are living in, their policies seem impervious to reevaluation. Consistency is crucial when pursuing health, fitness, strength, and personal goals. Unfortunately, the constant disruptions caused by lockdowns, combined with the absence of training guarantees, undermine progress and render the situation counterproductive and unsustainable. While I empathize with the business's lack of control over the lockdowns, it is abundantly clear that Melbourne Muscle does not prioritise being a valued member of the community. Their actions speak louder than words, as they prioritise profitability over the well-being of their members. As a result, I have made the firm decision to never again become a paid member of Melbourne Muscle. It is vital for me to align myself with a fitness establishment that equally values member satisfaction, well-being, and long-term success. To those reading this review, I encourage you to recognize the significance of consistency in achieving your health, fitness, and personal goals. Melbourne Muscle falls short in this regard, and I recommend exploring alternative options that genuinely prioritise their members' interests. In conclusion, my experience with Melbourne Muscle has been nothing short of a disappointment. Their focus on profitability at the expense of their members' well-being is disheartening and does not reflect a reputable establishment.

Fantastic experience: Changed my 2 star review to 5. The gym has done a lot of work over the last year or two improving facilities, getting in new equipment, and overall making the place absolutely worth your money. One of the cheapest gyms in the area, too.

Fantastic experience: This gym has everything that I need when I walk in for my workouts. Most of the time, I'm looking at machines and wondering what they work on hahaha before giving it a sneaky try and getting distracted. Love that it's 24 hour access. It can be a bit daunting walking into the massive space that this gym is, but once you find your space, you'll be right. I recommend this place to everyone, even if they don't live in the area haha. This is my third gym I've been a member of and I don't plan on going anywhere else. You see all kinds of people on their fitness journey there and you can feel the community when you go. Floor's can do with some vacuuming but it is what it is. Still a fantastic gym.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible customer service. Throughout lockdown I moved to the other side of vic and would be a 3 hour round trip (not to mention I couldn’t legally drive there) They wouldn’t allow me to cancel without giving them a large sum of money and even when LOOSING MY JOB they did not care.

Negative experience: This Gym was a great gym with a great atmosphere and great people, then during the lockdowns it went through a change, The layout of the gym was not as good as it use to be, the New staff would all stand in the corner bunched together like high schoolers starring laughing Wich made a lot of new people feel uncomfortable, the whole vibe of the place changed and it almost become like a fashion show with every 2nd person thinking they are a influencer and you have to wear brands/designer to the gym to train in, I once encounter this I was training by myself with my music in doing my own thing and I got up to re rack my weights there was a bunch of dudes there whom I had never seen before and they were wearing LouieV, Gucci and more and when I went up to re rack one of them just death stared me acting all alpha, it put a bad taste it my mouth after that, then when I went back after that you couldn’t workout without being filmed in the background of some influencer type person Instagram videos, I don’t think this is the ideal place for people who want to get in do there workout and leave, it’s feels more like for you to go here you have to dress to impress and act a certain way.

This gym is conveniently located on the Bayswater Road with plenty of car park lots in the backside.. it’s a huge facility… very well organised… Excellent staff.. Great deals available all the times.. if I hadn’t got my own home gym, I would have continued here for sure…

The membership was also advertised as a time-based contract, not a $ amount. I would understand If I pause the membership. However, I didn't they did. I feel sorry for anyone that cant fall back on a medical letter & are forced to pay

Fantastic experience: This is easily one of the best gyms I have ever been to. It has a huge range of equipment to suit anyone from beginners to competitive body builders and has 24 hour access. The gym only gets better during each covid lockdown too as they use the downtime to upgrade the equipment and facilities. The only real hang-up I have on the gym is the sauna could be nicer. That being said though I view the sauna as a free extra considering gym fees are low. The staff are very friendly and helpful as are the trainers. They also have an in house basketball hoop which is a nice touch!

Fantastic experience: Pretty good gym spent 6 months here and enjoyed it, they do free classes as a member and cheap pt, some pts are better than others. The gym needs to cut down on some of the machines considering it's a mess of random machines that people only use 40%, a better use of space would be for more classes.

Positive experience: 24 hour gym. Good local gym with some classes. It has a spa, and ordinary sauna. The infra red sauna comes at extra cost.
