Negative experience: Not my real name. For most of this year I have been treated for stage IV cancer. Obviously with 5 to 6 metastases in my spine it is impossible for me to use the Gym. I submitted a Doctor's letter to the direct debit company but it was deemed not acceptable. Also I was informed that there was a cancellation fee of $100. Through no fault of my own it looks like I have to keep paying for the Gym that I cannot use.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, been travelling all over south east Asia visiting lots of different gyms, this gym is by far one of the best. Active health caters for any type of training with Adam constantly adding new pieces of equipment. 10/10 would recommend

Negative experience: As a pro fighter an athlete bad management they only want direct debit set up no professional staff behind the counter now waiting on a call from them to see if I can train. Don't seem right if I already paid cash now I got wait on a phone call to find out if I can train would love to talk to there manager maybe wrap my shin around there head

Negative experience: Signed up 3 weeks ago because of their membership cost of $12.50 a week. The lady was lovely, helped me out and informed me they have a 48hour change of mind policy. Went in an trained once. Gym was dirty and equipment old. I want very happy about the admin, key, and set up fees so decided to check out another gym. I came back the next day (24 hours) and informed them I was changing my mind and was told it was all good and I’d be refunded. I checked my account 3 days later and didn’t see a refund but had been charged the membership fortnightly fee. so i went in and was told I’d be refunded within the next cycle of billing. I received $25 back of the $97 I spent. So I paid $72 for a one off session which wasn’t very nice. I have tried calling 3 times, only got through once to which they were “too busy” to help me sort it. Tried going in 3 times during their posted open times and each time they weren’t there. I’ve tried to be understanding, patient, and understand I should pay for my casual visit but honestly feel their customer service needs work and their fees should be transparent. I’ve had no dramas at the other gym and at the same real cost without hidden fees. Wish I could of resolved this without leaving a review.

Positive experience: As I’m only new to this club, I’ve given four stars as there will be always room for improvement, in saying that, I loved how welcoming the staff were and how Georgia made my daughter feel comfortable. The Best Part is Active Health Club ‘s price made it affordable for my daughter and I to train together. We are looking forward to getting to know the club and building our fitness with great support.

A family owned and run gym makes it much more personable, Adam is fantastic. I've made special friends and we keep each other motivated. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: New machines have been added yo the gym floor. Currently there is a $9.95/ week direct debit, this service incurs a $3 processing fee every f/Night and a one of establishing fee of $19.90. 24/7 access via a swipe tag.

Negative experience: Old gym, old equipment, currently not open 24 hours, good exercise classes, reviews on facebook are disabled. Not the best gym if your'e an aspiring athlete. probably more suited as a casual gym for people that enjoy group fitness.

Negative experience: I called to cancel my membership after covid restrictions lifted and never gave them permission to start debiting my account again. Finally got back and walked in to cancel 3 months later and they shrugged their shoulders enjoying telling me they will debit my account for another month and they have a business to run. No thought that some of us might be struggling and can't afford this. Go sign up to a gym with that actually cares about people. Give this one a wide berth.

Negative experience: Paying money for a 24 hour gym that's not open for 24 hours is a complete rip off! Please save your money and go elsewhere. It's not worth it with the current limitations! And the standard of equipment which is well below par compared to other gyms in the surrounding area

With child minding available, fantastic group classes, dedicated personal trainers and a down to earth friendly and caring atmosphere. Plenty of great equipment to suit your fitness goals including battle ropes, tyres and "monkey bars"......Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Always be wary when a business has disabled their review section on Facebook. There is usually a reason, it's usually a case of repeated bad reviews.

Negative experience: Be careful, you must sign everything in front of them, never just make phone call special when you need go oversea for a while, you must make sure, when i need go oversea, I said to them, may I stop I membership from May to First of August, on the phone they said okay, them when I find I got charge continue, they told me I can only stop for 1 month, it’s not big money but really feel upset with their service.

Negative experience: Save yourself time and money. Definitely one of the worse gyms in Cairns. The gyms reviews are disabled on Facebook and is seriously over rated for what it is. 4.2 star rating in comparison to other facilities that offer better equipment, better services, and better locations. The fitness equipment is out dated and hasn’t changed for years. The majority of the equipment has rust and looks as though it’s seen better days. The air conditioning is terrible and doesn’t circulate around the facility properly. The gym has a seriously bad sweat odour which they try to counter with vanilla senses. The music they play in the facility is the radio. And the service by staff is terrible. Not to mention the unreasonable contracts and joining fees. This is definitely not worth the money for what’s offered. But good pointers. Not very busy.

Negative experience: If I could have found a 24he gym as close to home I would have gone there instead Afternoon sun is a pain in the free weight section, machines haven't changed in years, poor air con. Goods points, not very busy

Positive experience: Not to busy so always plenty of room and machines to use. Might not be the most modern but does the job, 24 hour access is great. Good value as well.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting this gym for a few years now & I have to say Adam and Sally always make me and whoever walks in the door feel welcome . They offer a variety of fitness workouts, but I particularly like the many Les Mills classes on offer. Adam more than often heads these classes ( with help from other great instructors) and he makes them fun, interesting , enjoyable and hard work. The room is well air-conditioned with extra fans, a great range of weights, dumbells etc., mirrored walls so you can keep yourself in check with your moves.. (no you don’t have to look), and awesome disco lights for some fast paced pumping aerobics at the end of a great Monday night workout. If you’re looking for something a bit different the fat burning Metafit classes taken by Sally is really worth checking out. Phew! There is definitely something for everyone . I really haven’t found a friendlier or better gym to go to , so I keep coming back for the best classes in town. Thanks guys 

Fantastic experience: Wonderful! Everyone is friendly, and caring. Very local atmosphere, there is even a lady that does Bowen therapy there so it's great if I do a hardcore workout I can then get a nice relaxing Bowen.
