Fantastic experience: I’ve never felt comfortable in a gym, but Ryderwear is something else! Staff and members are always happy to help. Training with Connor / Empower Health has been a total game changer. I used to hate working out, but now I actually look forward to our sessions. Connor takes the time to know his clients and is super motivating, and somehow manage to push me without making it feel overwhelming. Even with physical limitations I've seen progress and feel stronger and more confident in the gym. If you are looking for a coach who genuinely cares about your physical and mental health, Connor’s your guy and Ryderwear is your gym!

Positive experience: This gym at munno para is incredible in terms of cleanliness. It is extremely well maintained and there is so much equipment for all types of training. Members are really friendly and support each other with encouragement regardless of body shape and size. The only disappointment is the music. Too many songs with swear words and disparaging statements about women. They should try put some uplifting fun music from 80s and 90s that match the empowering words they have on their walls.

The equipment is well-maintained, there’s a great variety of machines and free weights, and it never feels too overcrowded—even during peak times. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help or offer advice. The atmosphere is welcoming, and there’s a solid mix of people at different fitness levels, which makes it feel really inclusive. The gym is also kept clean and tidy, which I really appreciate. The bathrooms and showers are always spotless, and there’s plenty of sanitiser and wipes available. Fantastic experience: One of the cleanest, well-maintained gyms I’ve been to. There’s enough space for stretching and plenty of machines, even during peak hour I’m in and out within an hour. Only thing is, I wish there were some self-propelled treadmills, like assault treadmills.
Fantastic experience: Best gym I've trained at. The equipment is state of the art, and there is a lot of it. Never have to wait for equipment. The cleaners are always there, cleanest gym in SA... The staff are friendly and inviting and always present during staffed hours. The other gym users are thoughtful and return weights to the racks, not like other gyms where they are either left on the machines or just dumped on the floor. 5 stars for the Ryderwear community.

Fantastic experience: First time ever going to the gym and am glad me and my girlfriend chose this one, i’m not a gym expert but im sure the range of equipment and recovery resources are exceptional especially compared with other gyms in the area. The only thing that kind of annoyed me would be the music, whilst it is of course cool to have the music on, it would be a bit better if it was turned down a bit, as at some points i was struggling to talk to my girlfriend during the workout. However that is just nitpicky

Positive experience: Excellent & affordable gym for meeting any goal with exceptional gym equipment. I had moved to this gym from another for four months as of now, this gym has great variety of equipment for either strength and cardio training, with a large array of benches and machines both with plates or pin loaded. I have enjoyed learning to use these machines and have been following a workout plan using them. This gym is always kept clean and the staff I've spoken to are approachable, the PT Markas goes above and beyond to make your experience pleasurable. I have not found myself waiting too long for equipment during peak hour. I found the gym to be at its busiest at the start of the week and more quiet towards Friday, between the times of five to eight pm. This gym would greatly appreciate the use of the CrowdDJ system that can be used on mobile phones and in person. I highly recommend this system to be implemented as I would love to play my own music on the speakers, even if there is a cool-down period before another song of my choosing. I have found it difficult to locate 2.5kg plates as they are somewhat scarce around the gym, however the addition of the CrowdDJ would be a higher priority. Overall I would recommend this gym for the affordability and big variety of machines available. I would rate higher stars if the features mentioned were to be implemented.

Positive experience: Great equipment and the place looks new and clean. I’m giving three stars purely because of the weird setting of the sauna/changing rooms. You have to turn on the saunas yourself, so if you forget to do it before the end of your workout, you’ll end up waiting 15 minutes for it to heat up. Also, there are only three small saunas that only fit one person each. I wonder what happens when it gets really busy. Changing rooms could also benefit from having lockers. None of the above is a big deal, but I do believe it would provide that extra value to the membership.

Negative experience: I am giving 2 starts for the gym, it was amazing and soo big, I was very excited to join and was waiting for its opening. I went there with my partner to have a look, The staff (tall male) at reception was very arrogant and rude. His behaviour changed my mind and then I bought other gym membership.

Fantastic experience: The gym is very new, love it. However the music is super loud. I feel headaches especially when I am doing the Pilates, the strong and super loud music makes me very uncomfortable. Hope the volume can be lower to normal level.

Fantastic experience: I switched from Derrimut gym to Ryderwear and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Staff are way friendlier, a more welcoming atmosphere and great equipment. Also plenty of floor space!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Love the new gym! There is such a large range of equipment, I go at peak time and have never waited for a machine. It's also spacious so you don't trip over other members. The sauna is amazing, change rooms are large and have great facilities. The staff have been ver helpful also. 5⭐️s

Fantastic experience: absolutely love it here! super nice staff and greeted as u walk thru the door, many machines that are put in specific areas for you to pick from. people in the gym are always super nice and good to be around. there are respectful boundaries such as saunas, ice baths and toilets that are separated from the boys and girls. always super clean and everything is spotless such as the mirrors, floor and machines. everything is super spacious and place is massive with lots of machines to give a shot. only $4 more on your weekly membership and honestly worth it to go up to platinum, you get the ice baths, pilates, posing room and the sauna, and that’s just 4 dollars more my mind is blown. but more overall the staff are just super friendly and definately don’t think i’ll be leaving, keep up the good work guys

Negative experience: Equipment and Safety Concerns at the New Ryderwear Gym Munno Para. As a regular at other Ryderwear Gym locations, I was eager to check out the new Munno Para Gym. As a dedicated fan of Ryderwear gyms, it pains me to write this, but my experience at the new Munno Para Gym was unfortunately disappointing due to the differences in equipment quality and safety compared to other Ryderwear gyms. Facilities: The gym is new and has a clean, modern look, but the equipment selection and safety issues are lacking. While there are plenty of strength training machines available, they differ significantly from those at other Ryderwear gyms. These alternative versions are not as intuitive or user friendly, making the workout unnecessarily complicated and less efficient. Additionally, some machines are placed on uneven ground, causing them to rock during use, which is both disruptive and unsafe. The machines haven't been properly secured or placed on level flooring. Furthermore, the different version of the dumbbell workout benches have metal or hard plastic edges, which scrape your legs when getting on and off or moving up and down. Unlike benches at other Ryderwear locations, these lack full padding around the edges, making them uncomfortable and causing minor injuries. Atmosphere: While the atmosphere at Munno Para is fresh and inviting, the excitement fades when you realize that the equipment does not meet the high expectations set by other Ryderwear locations. The unstable machines and uncomfortable dumbbell workout benches significantly detract from the overall workout experience. Staff: The staff at Munno Para were friendly and welcoming, maintaining the positive customer service standard of Ryderwear gyms. Overall: Despite the new facility and welcoming staff, Ryderwear Gym Munno Para falls short due to subpar equipment and safety issues. The strength training machines, while plentiful, differ from those at other locations and are less user friendly. Some machines don't offer the same range of weights as those at other locations, further limiting their functionality. The instability of some machines and the uncomfortable dumbbell workout benches with hard edges further detract from the workout experience. As someone who trains six days a week, these issues matter. I’ve been encouraging my friends who live in the area to join Ryderwear Gyms for months, but after this visit, they decided to stay at their current gym. I can't blame them, if this were my local Ryderwear Gym, I would probably cancel my membership. I hope they address these issues promptly to meet the high standards of their other gyms.

Positive experience: New gym is awesome!!! So many machines and plenty of each type so you shouldn't have to wait for a machine! I love the nice big open activity space! Plenty of room for stretching, walking lunges etc! The facilities are great too! 3 showers, so you shouldn't have to wait for one. The main improvement I would like to see is electrical outlets in the bathrooms so that we can dry/straighten out hair after a shower and before heading off to work. Otherwise, a really great gym with great equipment! **** Thank you so much for putting an electrical outlet in the bathroom! Top tier gym!!! **************** There seems to be an issue with the air conditioner being on! It's Summer and yet the air doesn't appear to be left on a decent enough level to keep the gym comfortable. I also train at the Alberton location and it is ALWAYS comfortable there! Please, please leave the air conditioner on and at a decent enough level to keep the gym comfortable!
