Positive experience: The gym itself is fine albeit small and expensive, but don't expect to escape standard predatory gym membership practices here. Despite being a member for about two years and having no lock in contract I was advised that the cancellation notice required is TWENTY EIGHT days. I didn't receive any explanation as to why this is the standard other than that "it's in the contract". It doesn't take 28 days of admin work to cancel a direct debit and suggesting that it's reasonable just because it's 'in the contract' is a joke. Even though I signed it - I was never provided with a copy of the contract. If the terms were 7 or 14 days I wouldn't have blinked twice. Based on their response there is still no explanation for why a 28 day policy exists. Just because something is 'standard' (a month is the LONGEST cancellation period allowable, so you're still accepting the worst as standard) doesn't mean it isn't predatory. Despite their allegations I have not communications containing the terms of the agreement.

Fantastic experience: The gym itself is great. Very high cleaning standards, excellent range of equipment. Has everything you need. Fantastic friendly staff and environment. Have never felt more comfortable at the gym than I do at Pulse Fitness. Great community environment.
