Gymnastics Victoria: State Gymnastics Centre

Negative experience: I train at the State Gymnastics Centre with my school and school hired coaches but just have to say that the floors look like they have never see a vacuum before. The area around the bars have chalk everywhere and if you drop a piece of equipment onto the ground, there is so much chalk in the air that you literally can't see. The floor underneath the tramp is covered on so much dust it looks like the floor is gray. The floor area is cover in dust and dead skin cells. There are random dirty socks EVERYWHERE and the cubby holes are full of rubbish. The equipment is mostly good with a few ripped mats.

Fantastic experience: Great to have a facility that can be hired easily. There's a mix of old and new equipment, but all in reasonable condition.

Fantastic experience: Ballarat Gymmast using these facilities is great for their training. Especially the foam pit. It's a wonderful facility

Negative experience: So disappointing - the place is falling apart. We came for a gym comp which ran nearly 2 hours behind. Not enough seating to watch gymnasts for three hours - no accessibility for mobility impaired! Hardly a “state” gymnastics centre.

Negative experience: Gymnasium, dirty, poorly maintained, disorganised, inadequate seating and well behind schedule. Very disappointing
