Fantastic experience: Unisex communal sauna/steam with entry from both male & female changerooms. Sauna fits maybe 5 people—any more and you’re practically sweating on strangers. Caution: don’t lean near the heater unless you want a scorched booty (speaking from painful experience). Gym itself is tidy and functional. Three floors: open gym on the ground, changerooms & sauna on level two, and group classes up top. Solid setup, just mind the burn

Negative experience: I left when my personal trainer left as there was no decent trainers left, the sales staff are sharks, they have broken equipment that never seemed to get repaired and the male facilites were horrible. This gym really felt like it was on life support waiting for someone to put it out of its pain, exactly how another gym I went to was like before it closed.

Negative experience: Apparently me paying $25 for a casual day visit this morning does not actually mean you get access to the gym for the day and if I wanted to come back in the afternoon I have to pay another $25. Absolute rip off. It’s called a casual day visit. Would not recommend!!!!!

Fantastic experience: One of the best clubs I’ve been in Adelaide. It’s big enough to have machines available for you, plenty and quite new equipment, comfortable space, clean and the amenities are great. I love the group classes as well. Really recommend it!

Fantastic experience: The gym has an extensive range of equipment, also a sauna and steam room. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and, in my case, especially Jesse who showed me around and worked up a personal program. Overall a very good gym.

Negative experience: Probably one of the worst gyms I've visited and would highly recommend going elsewhere. I got duped by a sales rep 'M' and found the information she gave was so misleading. I do want to give props to a young girl (she is young, very tall and tan) for being friendly and professional (Molly). Adelaida has also always been a vibrant and happy staff person every time I have set foot into the gym. A few things to be aware of if you do decide to sign up to Goodlife: - it is extremely expensive for what you get - equipment is very old and not maintained well (or at all). You can feel that it is a bit clunky to use and you don't get a smooth pulling/pushing motion. - you can only suspend for $5 per week for a maximum of four weeks. Good luck if you plan a couple of interstate/overseas trips where where there is no GL gym is nearby - it is extremely difficult to find a mat for stretching - some front desk staff are too pre-occupied with talking to each other rather than interacting with customers I've been told half of GL customers have already switched to Revo and I can see why. It is so much cheaper and the equipment is new.

In regard to pausing your membership, if you do this via the online membership portal you can freeze your account for up to 8 weeks per year. We believe this to be a reasonable time frame and find that most members don't holiday for more than 8 weeks per calendar year.

Negative experience: I have been a member, foundation member, from before this gym even opened their doors. Had signed up with great lifetime perks which are slowly being diminished, such as no fee increase which they have, no PT session. Hindmarsh club was such a busy and vibrant gym, had excellent classes but now they have removed morning classes during the week, equipment out of date, understaffed, no crèche and it’s practically dying. They use to have a fabulous Zumba class Monday nights, that was full and they removed, I have suggested many times if they would reintroduce it and staff just keep saying to add it to the suggestion box, what for they don’t do anything about it. Hindmarsh you need to do some serious work to get this gym back up to where it was!

Positive experience: Good facilities over 3 floors, clean and ample restrooms on 2flr with lockable storage. Only thing I ask is a drinking fountain on the ground floor

Negative experience: If you want a gym who cares about customer service and communication. This isn’t it. All they want is your money and for you to sign a contract. Dont do it.

Negative experience: No yoga mats or mats anywhere in the whole gym. They got rid of them so they could instead sell them and make profit. That’s really inconvenient for those of us who cycle to the gym. The purpose of joining the gym is to use equipment. May as well do it at home

Negative experience: Goodlife Hindmarsh is a great gym with friendly staff and a good atmosphere, I just find when it comes to late fees and cancelation of you account their practices are a little unethical. I would like to post this review somewhere else because it's more about upper management rather than this particular Goodlife gym but there doesn't seem to be an appropriate public forum to do so, which again is disappointing

Negative experience: Today i was in my van, getting ready to go to the gymm and the manager came, knock quite strongly to the door and told me that I need to move the van. I said to him "I am getting ready to go to the gymm" he said I have seen your van here quite often and you can not use this as a caravan park. I answered that of course he has seen my van often because I am going to the gymm. He insisted that i couldn't use the car park as a caravan park. I came last night to body pump class and I am going now again, i repplied. Then he asked me if I was a member, which i said yes, I am. And he left. I believe there r ways to approach this problem if you think i am using your car park as a caravan park, which i am not because I have my own place... He should be more polite when he speaks to a human. I felt he was just judging me for my car and because i am obviously not australian. I canceled my membership, which is a shame because I was enjoying going there and i even refered a friend of mine. 0 points for the poorly educated and presumtuous manager, he needs to learn manners!
Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Goodlife for almost 15 years and have gone to many different Goodlife gyms across Melbourne and Adelaide. Hindmarsh is by far my favourite. It's spacious and has plenty of equipment. The addition of the squat rack downstairs several years ago was a game changer, especially for the peak hours. I always find the staff friendly and welcoming upon arrival. The other members are respectful of the equipment and other people at the gym. Can't see myself moving to another gym!
Positive experience: I really enjoyed visiting the Hindmarsh Goodlife. The facilities were of a really high standard with a great range and a good sense of space. With a lot of the Goodlife gyms the music selection is atrocious and have to listen to other music so I don't have to put up with the commercial pop that is borderline intrusive. Other than that the staff were polite and could recommend people to join Goodlife as the network of gyms in Australia is excellent and convenient when on holidays or business trips.
Negative experience: Can you please help the homeless man living in your car park move on. He’s been there at least 4 months and I don’t feel safe attending at night. His girlfriend is now parking there too. I have reported to police but they say it’s your car park and private land.
Fantastic experience: Good gym with great personal trainers, they are very helpful and welcoming . Sam was amazing during my training induction. I would highly recommend this gym if anyone wants to join a gym.
Positive experience: Good location and relatively easy parking. The gym also has a good layout and relatively spacious. However, the gym really needs a make over and new equipment. There's new competitors like Derrimutts, Revo and Ryderwear nearby but it seems like Goodlife are just cruising along and increasing their prices. The gym isn't too busy which is a positive for some people but probably reflects that this gym is less popular these days.

Negative experience: Went there to join as I was lead to believe the had full Pilates equipment but they don't not impressed
Negative experience: They harassed me to sign up by calling me every week, I made it clear I didn't need their services by ignoring their calls on purpose, but that didnt stop them. The paper work was not clearly explained and once I signed up, I was paying way more than what was written on the contract without clear explaination. Fraudulent business practice that preys on the working class.
Negative experience: Showers are terrible, hardly any water comes out and you need to basically hump the wall to get wet. Cannot adjust where the water aims, showers also look like they have not had a deep clean for a year or two. If you like to have showers after your workout, AVOID this place.
Positive experience: Good facilities, welcoming staff, free crèche is there for anyone with the kids. Lack of group training compare to some other clubs. With the COVID it’s usually a line to get to sauna or steam room which is annoying.

Positive experience: Most of the equipment is great, some of it not, like most gyms. All the cardio equipment seems to be new, and lots of cleaning materials are located all over the gym. Definitely a hygienic environment to work out in. Showers could do with a refresh though.
Fantastic experience: Been attending this gym for five years, good standards throughout from equipment, change facilities and group fitness, core and rpm with Sarah are excellent with routines changed every three weeks. Helpful and friendly staff and no meatheads so good for all regardless of fitness levels, plenty of parking so well worth a trial to see if it suits you.

Fantastic experience: Go there 5 days a week the people that go there are easy to talk to ,the staff are really good sauna /steam room is excellent people who are thinking about joining a gym should consider goodlife at hindmarsh give it a go
Fantastic experience: I've actually sign up my in Goodlife Adelaide branch, but then got some problems with the app so since my work is located in Hindmarsh, I went there for help. The staffs at Hindmarsh are very friendly and helped me by giving me the access pass card and the 24/7 access card. The lady at the reception even gave me a tour of the gym and happily assisted me with all my other queries. The place has a good vibe. Can't wait to start my work out there.
Fantastic experience: Great club with well qualified and friendly staff. Plenty of parking available. The classes are excellent in particular the ones led by Sarah Gore in Hindmarsh. Another benefit of Goodlife Gyms is the ability to attend the gyms across Australia.

Positive experience: Recently joined, 30 years since being in a gym. Had my first one on one session with Jack, nice lad. Bigger on the inside than it looks. Looking forward to the next session. I have a goal in mind and set to achieve it.
Positive experience: Playing mcdonalds ads on the screens mid workout is NOT what I want from any gym. The sign in process for visitors is overly complicated and the vibe is a bit on the sleepy side. Otherwise clean, spacious and easy to find my way around the equipment. Happy with my experience but could be more satisfied with the music/ad choices (why are there even ads anyway, it's a paid for service!)
Positive experience: It's a decent gym. Parking out the back makes it easy. As far as weights go, it's got a good range. Does get quite busy in the evening, so train morning or day time, if you can.
Positive experience: Really friendly and helpful staff. Generally a very well equipped fitnesscenter! Lots of space for free weights. Only thing I am missing are mats somewhere, when there's no space on the artificial turf its hard to find a good spot on the floor for a workout on the ground. The carpet upstairs is not ideal. Showers and sauna are really well kept. There are blow dryers and even an iron to use! One of the best fitnesscenters I've been to in my life...
Fantastic experience: Well, after 12 months using this place I can safely say it was worth every penny. Dropped nearly 20kg and started to really enjoy my life again, and discovered so much about myself and what I can do if I set my mind to it. If you're thinking of joining this place, go for it. It's well worth it in the long run. I'm living proof of that.

Positive experience: It has the basics to train, plus a 25m pool, but facilities look old. Not my preferred option.
Negative experience: The staff are very unwelcome rode and trying to be over smart especially the ladie who give you information about sign in I think she is manager but not sure she for first time there's also some nice staff too
Positive experience: Hate the fact that the signing up fees are $149 but try to ask them for a couple of months off your 12 month contract..try to be difficult while signing up make it seem like it's too expansive so they'd give you a discount
Negative experience: I’ve had nothing but stress with Goodlife since signup, I’ve had random charges to my account no one can explain, staff try to change the subject to get more money from you and are less than willing to listen to any concerns of patrons. The staff are either really nice yet unhelpful or really unpleasant and arrogant. do not use the day free trial unless you have 500 dollars to burn. One star is generous
Positive experience: Look, there is plenty of room and the equipment is better maintained and newer than most of other Goodlife gyms in Adelaide. But it is infested by too many weird cross-fit bogan types (particularly women). The kind of place if you don't have a tattoo (including women) you will feel weird. That aside, can't complain
Negative experience: I am regular here because that's the only gym on my way to work but you will find broken equipment everyday which takes weeks to get fixed & replaced. Recent example is Steam, more than 4 weeks still you can see OUT OF ORDER sign. Many people moved to another gyms because of that
