Fantastic experience: Amazing oldschool gym with a real community and culture. So proud of owner Stephanie to have the true values and beliefs in what a fitness gym should be! A must visit for anybody passing by Adelaide, otherwise would be my local if we resided in Adelaide. Do not change - you are the best!!!

Fantastic experience: Powerhouse is the best gym I’ve been to. After trying out a few franchise gyms I joined Powerhouse and can confidently say I don't want to leave anytime soon. They have an awesome atmosphere with friendly staff and gymgoers, great lighting, music and every piece of equipment you can ever need. They even have a protein shake bar for your mid/post workout protein hit!

Negative experience: 4.8 stars?! How is this even possible?! Let me tell you that the staff was kind and friendly (the only reason I gave it one star). The equipment was a mess, with a lot of retrofits and broken lighting and air conditioning. I went there three times, which cost me around $150. They wouldn't let me cancel, and they kept my 100$ joining fee.

Fantastic experience: When looking for a gym in my area I came accross PoweHouse Gym online and on first glance it wasn't somewhere I would 'fit in'. After weeks of hestitating, I finally popped down and I was welcomed an awesome staff member. I signed up then and there. I have now been a member for a few months and it is the best gym I have been to. It is not your typical gym, everyone is welcome and it shows. Steph (owner) has done a tremendous job creating such an inclusive environment.

Fantastic experience: Serious body building gym. Lots of interesting older equipment I'd never seen before. Multiple machines so not much waiting. All machines are in top notch working order. Music was much better than mainstream gyms and has a pretty cool vibe with all the old body building posters on the walls.

Fantastic experience: Great place to take in inspiration. They have pictures all around of pro body builders and an excellent vibe. Way better than any other gym I've been to, far more cool. They've also got everything I need to get the job done, especially a $5 casual entry fee which is a real lifesaver as I don't get the usual membership guilt. Staff are also very nice.

Positive experience: Great vibe. I felt very motivated to keep working out. They have great equipment and some OK equipment. Nice range of weight. There are areas for free hand or weight exercises with mirrors.

Negative experience: First and last experience, finally decided to get back to the gym, their sign said $5 casual visits. So I walked in said hello put my money on the counter and the woman said hello and said I needed a towel, I said why would I need one of them (thinking Im not fit enough to sweat yet) and she comes around the counter and looks at what I was wearing and said ‘we aren’t accepting causal visits atm and hands my money back’…She clearly didn't like the look of me for some reason, I don't have a swashtica on my forehead or holes in my clothes so no idea what her problem with me was......Some kind of Gym snobbery? I have no idea, I wasn't offered a real reason, only shown the door....Not one bit welcoming!

Stephanie & Randall have given it a World Class facelift while still retaining an honest “sand & grit” feel! Whether you’re looking to achieve general fitness, weight loss, weight gain, body-building, body-sculpting, powerlifting, your power is housed here! Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff will help you achieve your goals. OR if you just want to train & do your own thing, you can do that to! I travel for my work so the 10 visit cards for $40 are just perfect… and have I mentioned the BEST value for money anywhere? Well I just have …and you can quote me on that! :)

Positive experience: Nice old school gym but the music is always cranked up to deafening levels so much so that you can't even listen to your own music through headphones. The staff don't seem to understand that not everybody listens to gangster /ghetto rap music. When you go to a gym it's as much about atmosphere and music as it is about the without itself. The owners are really good people but the gym needs a overhaul

Fantastic experience: This gym gets all five star reviews for a reason; massive array of quality weight machines for every possible muscle, even ones you didn't realise you had and it never feels crowded at anytime of the day. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they are all passionate about keeping fit and happy to help, it feels safe in there, you could happily leave your valuables in the open lockers, the other gym goers are a friendly bunch and many seem to know one another but it's never intimidating if you're new. I use the $5 a go casual visit which is exceptional value and must surely be the cheapest in Adelaide. The cardio section is really good and don't just think it's a gym for weight lifters as there are plenty of good cardio machines too to give you an all round workout. Highly recommend Powerhouse.

Powerhouse is very welcoming with a friendly atmosphere when you first enter. The overall vibe of the gym is great, the music makes you want to train hard and do the best you can do. I love training at Powerhouse! If anyone visits Adelaide I always recommend a trip to The House.

Fantastic experience: By far the BEST gym in Adelaide! PowerHouse is a family owned and run business just a short 5-10mins out of Adelaide's CBD. There is no doubt that the fitness industry is booming at the moment, and with so many choices it can be daunting to find a gym to join however, look no futher than PowerHouse Fitness Gym! If you don't consider yourself the 'Hardcore' type (just like me), look past the front signage beacuse I assure you that the environment inside is the most warm and inviting you will have ever experienced - not to mention the welcoming nature of the staff and the motivation of fellow members. I am proud to say that PowerHouse and I have been together for over 4 years now *encourgaing claps* and I have never looked back!
