La Dimora Retirement Resort at Hidden Valley

Negative experience: Doesn't even have a public transport option close by. Unless you want to walk 36mins from the bus stop

Fantastic experience: We’ve had a wonderful experience with little to no pressure to buy our unit at La Dimora which was a pleasant surprise so I’m more than happy to give a thumbs up for the staff and management here at La Dimora.

Fantastic experience: Treated like Royalty with a friendly welcome, from the moment you step into the Resort. Cheryl guided us through the Retirement Village in a warm professional manner and gave us plenty of time to aquaint ourselves with all the facilities available. The Villas are extremely spacious and offer many luxuries. They have been built with lots of consideration given to the layout for a happy contented lifestyle and every Villa has a unique view, which also attracted us. We love the atmosphere of the Village. Not to be forgotten are all the sporting facilities available. Who wouldn't want to spend their twilight years here.

Fantastic experience: I have lived here for approx. 5 months now and never looked back. The facilities on your doorstep (golf, bowls, pickle ball, heated pool, water aerobics, full gym, and various classes) are just amazing. The Villas are very generous in size and you never feel closed in - each with a large alfresco area that can be an entertainers delight or just sitting and relaxing enjoying the breathtaking views. The serenity of living here is something I marvel at. I also have never felt so much of a happy friendly community - the people are just the best - they make the place. My husband and I pondered over the move for a long time, but now that we are here we wish we had done it sooner. Life is so much simpler with no stress. I can highly recommend La Dimora Retirement Resort - it's a lifestyle change you will never regret.

Positive experience: We are in our 6th week as residents of the Retirement Resort. Have been made welcome by staff, members of the Resort and other residents. What a great friendly group. The vista and make up of the accommodation is unique and takes advantage of the facilities and the unbelievably wonderful landscape. Some teething issues with the new villa and they are being attended to and rectified. After reviewing other resorts over 12 months, my wife and I are extremely happy to spend our remaining life here.

Fantastic experience: We love it here… Transitioning from farm life to semi rural lifestyle has been an adjustment but made all the easier by the fact we have a beautiful light airy roomy unit, wonderful neighbours, great outlook over the driving range where we enjoy kangaroos, rabbits ,foxes and a multitude of wildlife and open spaces. The people of the village are friendly ,informative and helpful, there are many organized activities and social events you can join in with if you choose along with outside activities. We have the Hidden Valley Country Club on our doorstep and the Grove Resturant a hop skip and jump away where you can meet friends and family for meals or just go over and enjoy a cuppa or beverage. While being in a semi rural enviroment we are close to Melbourne and surrounded many of the smaller towns that offer all the mod cons and convenience of the suburbs. The Valley is different to anywhere else we know of and we are very happy with our decision to make La Dimora our home. John and Deb Stage 1

Fantastic experience: We were one of the first to move in to La Dimora, a huge decision for us to make. 2 years plus onward and we have no regrets….fantastic setting, great spacious villas and some wonderful people who all seem to get along well. With 2 years of covid to endure, I’m not sure we would have survived, without being in Hidden Valley. Fantastic facilities, golf course, gym, pool, pickleball courts, bowling green…. It really is difficult to find time to do nothing. The major plus is the Grove restaurant & bar, the scene of many wonderful organised and spontaneous celebrations and plenty of laughter. Hidden Valley is a hidden gem.

Fantastic experience: We were very lucky to arrive in the first stages of the development. The layout of the floor plan and the surrounding layout, plus, the extra facilities available drew us to this location. Having looked at other retirement facilities it was a hands down decision given the golf course, sporting facilities and the clubhouse, incorporating the Grove bar and bistro, this was the place for us. We’ve been here 2 years and have made many new friends, whom we get on very well with. It’s only half an hour from major shopping centres and an hour from the city, however, it feels like your in a rural retreat. It’s an ideal lifestyle that you won’t regret.
