Fantastic experience: Finding a gym and a fitness trainer can be time consuming and a hassle Even more so when, like me, having spent over a decade working in the fitness and conditioning industry. After I retired, I had a couple of years not doing much about my personal fitness, but when a few health issues relating to my lifestyle emerged, I decided it was time to look for a trainer for myself. I visited some shop-front-franchised gyms and trawled the larger fitness providers in my area looking for a trainer who did not have the ego, but had the experience and knowledge to challenge me physically and mentally I was surprised to find a studio not far from my home and after a few introductory emails I decided to give NRG Boost Fitness a go and took up the offer from Scott Aurisch to attend one of his boot camps. I was warmly welcomed by the other clients, and some have become firm friends. That was 3 years ago and I am still training with Scott. Scott is a mature fitness coach with more than a passion for fitness. His group sessions are always different. Although the groups of attendees are of different ages, fitness levels and shapes/sizes, all are catered for and challenged at their own level. The dynamic within the group is welcoming and supportive throughout each session and to Scotts credit most clients (like me) have been working out with him for years. There are no gimmicks at NRG Boost Fitness, no promises of instant results, no trainer yelling or shouting, no shortcuts or easy paths to goals. Whether its one-on-one personal training or one or more of the group training sessions, the way forward is spelled out and a reminder that your personal goals are always in sight. Each session with Scott is different. Yes some of the common exercises like push-ups and sit-ups appear in the sessions but most of the elements are different, so you never know what you will encounter after the warm up. Any equipment to be used in the session is available in different weight/sizes to suit individual strengths and fitness levels. Sessions are conducted either in the air-conditioned studio or on the adjacent basketball court surrounded by trees and nature. There is no time to be bored during the training sessions, Scott writes the prescription for the class routine with a view to keeping the momentum brisk and the heart rate up. The session flies by and elation kicks in and before long you are high-fiving colleagues and congratulating each other whilst warming down with a good stretch. So, if you are looking for a gym with a trainer who caters for all age groups and fitness levels, and who encourages you to be the best you can be, then NRG Boost Fitness is waiting for your call.
