Fantastic experience: Was on holiday and wanting to get a workout done. Had a look around the area, saw the photos on Google and decided straight away this looked like the best gym in the area. I'm a pretty harsh gym critic but I can't fault this gym. There's ample power racks with mirrors in front so you can check your form. There's a good variety of pin and plate-loaded machines. Bravo for the 2 cable crossover stations. What made it even better is that they (currently) give a free 1 day trial every 6 months so this workout was free.

Positive experience: Still a great gym, but a few things to note I've been coming here for a while, and it’s still a great gym. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the equipment is well-kept and clean, which makes for a solid training environment. That said, there are a few things worth mentioning. Weights aren’t always returned to their proper place, so a rack might have a mix of 5s, 10s, and 20s, which can be frustrating when you're trying to grab what you need. It’s clearly a successful gym, which is great to see, but the peak hours (6–9 PM) can get quite busy, especially around the weights area. Groups of 4–5 sometimes work out together, chatting between sets, which might not be ideal if you're looking for a more focused workout, but the people who are there are lovely and respectful There are plenty of signs reminding members to clean up, avoid sitting on their phones while using equipment, and be mindful of thefts—important messages, but they do affect the gym’s overall vibe. Still, it remains a well-maintained gym with a lot to offer, especially if you can train outside peak hours.

Fantastic experience: I have attended a number of gyms over the years but none as good as the Lilydale Genesis. The best part, the trainers … sensational all of them, and the staff … really friendly and efficient. The programmes are comprehensive covering all aspects of training and suitable for people of all abilities and ages. The equipment is modern and top quality, the facilities are clean and the atmosphere is welcoming. There are several levels of membership, basic, great value for money up to the premium, more expensive but not more than elsewhere. For me, every group session is a challenge. You can work at your own level and I am probably older than most but … I love it and wouldn’t be anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: OMG! I love this gym! I moved recently from a gym where it felt like the only person who knew my name was my PT, and now I walk in the door at Genesis and I feel like I've walked into the bar on Cheers (that will age me)... it is so nice to be greeted with not only a smile, but a bright "Hello, how are you?" - I am a chatter, so it feels so good being in a place where that is encouraged. The gym set-up itself is AMAZING, so much bigger than the place that I was at, and everyone's got their space to do their thing. I'm yet to find the courage to join a group class, but I'm sure I'm going to love that too! Since joining 3 weeks ago, I've gone from going to the gym 2-3 times a week to 5 times... it is my new favourite place to be!

Fantastic experience: Has everything you need plus more to train and get healthier for all ages. Great new equipment, huge variety of equipment that I havent seen at other gyms, infrared sauna for healing sore muscles, high calibre very knowledgeable caring and friendly staff, huge assortment of fun classes catering to different ages. And icing on the cake you never get bored. So much to experiment with. Best gym I have ever joined! :)

Fantastic experience: Good gym staff are friendly, people going are most of the time good at cleaning up after themselves. Clean, peaceful and gets busy in your late mornings and evenings. Clean, maintained and best of all saunas!

Fantastic experience: Experienced and friendly staff and members are like family. This place is buzzing with a healthy atmosphere since the $3M upgrade and was well needed in Lilydale.

Fantastic experience: BEAUTIFUL new facilities! Super supportive staff ❤️ I don't use the gym floor, but the reformer pilates and coaching studios are first class with fantastic trainers who get to know you and help you really well.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful new facility, lots of great classes available! Cheaper than other gym options and they accommodated my maternity leave request. Highly recommend!
