Negative experience: Saw rats running around the gym. Nasty staff and nasty environment.
Fantastic experience: An absolutely beautiful gym filled with amazing staff. Gorgeous and convenient location and worth every penny. The equipment is fresh and everything always looks sleek. The atmosphere is always so vibey. Snap Fitness Golden Bay will always be a gym I will recommend to everyone who asks.

Negative experience: Quite expensive, not much machines and very small gym with nothing around it, not worth the price in my opinion
Hi Jason, Thank you for your review, we are unable to identify you as you have used clearly used alias on your profile. The gym is conveniently located in Golden Bay - Right next 7-11, Detox Zen and Dominoes Pizza. Another shopping centre is currently being built directly across the road. So I clearly dispute your comment "nothing around it". We have a full range of Matrix cardio, pin and plate loaded equipment which is one the worlds largest providers of commercial fitness equipment. We also have reformer Pilates machine a 4 station cross fit rig. All of the equipment is state of the art. Its not clear that you have ever been a member with us or ever visited the club, that said I would be more than happy to meet with you at the club at a convenient time to yourself to understand your concerns further. Negative experience: My under 18 year old joined the gym & I had to sign for him as he’s under 18 therefore a minor. I had no problem with doing that. My son had to leave the gym as he wasn’t getting any hours in his job. He had an outstanding balance of $57. This was not known to myself. Instead of this gym reaching out to a parent for a $57 bill they went straight to a debt collector. The owner of this gym doesn’t think they should reach out to parents for such a small amount. You cannot say under 18 years old need a parent signature to sign but then treat them as an adult when it comes to payments. I do not recommend using the gym. The lack of communication is beyond poor.
Hi Lisa, As discussed with you: 1. When you signed the parental consent for you son to join the club you did not request all communications come to you. 2. Between the 17th of March 2025 and 7th of April my team and I called Charlie several times and left voice mail messages, we also emailed him 9 times and texted him 9 times. 3. We communicated as per your instruction when you signed parental consent. While I appreciate your frustration with what has occurred, the debt remains outstanding will continue to do so with our debt collection agency. We can only attempt to collect membership fees owed for a certain amount of time, we are always willing to work with members to clear any arrears via payment plans etc., but if they stop communicating with us like your son did on this occasion we have left with no other option but to use a debt collector. Every time you have requested to speak with us we have - the issue is now with e-collect and out of our hands. Fantastic experience: Great quality equipment, really friendly staff, very clean gym and facilities, great atmosphere and environment, great size for location, DetoxZen just across the carpark, in club creche for your kids, classes at various times of the day, bathroom lighting is perfect for your selfies, water machine is crispy cold, club temperature is always perfect. This gym feels like home. The team there are friendly and approachable. 10/10

Fantastic experience: The team at Snap Fitness in Golden Bay are the best team you could ask for! Everyone is so friendly, approachable, and just lovely to deal with. I’m a morning gym goer, and Eileena is always happy and friendly and greets everyone, she’s always making people smile, my kids love Kinga and get so excited to go see her (I don’t blame them, she is lovely!) and Dave is so encouraging and pushes you to be your best self! He is the best PT I’ve ever had. I don’t feel judged or like I don’t belong here. This team work so well together, and make the gym such a good experience.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Snap for a few months and love it! As a woman who’s struggled with weight, I was nervous, but the staff, especially manager Eileena, made me feel welcome and supported. If you're looking for a gym where you'll feel comfortable, supported, and motivated, I highly recommend Snap Fitness Golden Bay. Fantastic experience: I’ve never been a gym person but since signing up to Snap in G bay I’ve never been more comfortable and confident, the staff are brilliant always friendly and willing to help, very clean and good equipment, it’s like a family atmosphere every time you walk in. Fantastic experience: Such a lovely gym! Staff are extremely helpful, the gym itself is very well kept and offers a good range of equipment for its size! The club manager makes my experience at this gym a 12/10 she is a great motivator and definitely the reason I keep coming back each day and don’t avoid the gym anymore!

Fantastic experience: Love the gym. Love the creche. Love the staff. It is such a warm welcoming atmosphere, the classes are the best I’ve been to and the gym has everything you need. The fact that everything is brand new and clean is an added bonus as well.

Fantastic experience: Amazing sense of community and friendly atmosphere. The only thing I would change is I wish the floors were level. Always find myself stumbling (not falling) over the uneven surface.
