Fantastic experience: Fabulous hotel to relax in or workout in great gym pool and spa. Great restaurant great coffee not over priced!! Couldn't get a warmer spot for lunch on a cold wet day with a fabulous warm fire

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and facilities. Onsite outdoor and underground parking. The view from the room over the golf course and out to the ocean was spectacular.

Negative experience: I had heard mixed things about this gym, but after my friend’s experience, I’m incredibly disappointed. The manager’s attitude is absolutely appalling. My friend, who is recovering from an ACL injury and has to wear specific footwear for his recovery, was kicked out of the gym for not having “adequate shoes.” Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, the manager was rude, dismissive, and seemed completely uninterested in hearing his explanation. It’s baffling how a place that’s supposed to promote health and fitness could treat someone recovering from an injury so poorly. Aren’t gyms meant to support people on their fitness journeys, not humiliate and exclude them? There are far better gyms out there with staff who actually care about their members’ well-being. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience.

Fantastic experience: We've been going for litle over a year. The gym is very welcoming and not full of people with egos that you find in other gyms. they also have a pool, spa and sauna. The equipment may not be new like in those 24 hour gyms, but it's not old and it all works well. They don't have some machines you find in huge gyms, but for the size of the place, you can still make it work.

Fantastic experience: Since we live up the road this isn't a place we would stay overnight in. So I can't comment on the rooms. Facilities and spa here are lovely though. For the most part the staff are very warm, efficient and professional. I personally felt there can be somewhat of a snobbish vibe here at times however the resort is frequented by local members who use the gym and pool facilities as well as the lovely golf course, which gives it a nice overall balance. All food I have had here has been excellent and at about the right value. It is not cheap however if I go out to eat I want to eat something a little special that I wouldn't make at home and therefore I'm willing to pay for it. The only small thing I would say is that the gym/pool changing and shower area needs a good clean in the showers, especially under the partitions where grime appears to collect. However as far as pools go this one is pretty clean. I swim a lot in many pools and this one is high on the list for being the cleanest. Highly recommended.
