Fantastic experience: Really helpful & friendly
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! This is a spacious gym with all necessary equipment. I see Phil for weekly PT session and use the gym freely on the other days. The personal trainers will work with you on what your goals are and what you would like out of each session, they can plan it for you or you can manage what you are after. Phil also helps me with my nutrition and he is always m go-to with questions. A PT is fantastic option for anyone with health related goals as they can keep you accountable and they want to see you succeed!

Negative experience: Vision Personal Training Taringa, is great for totally inexperienced people. However for people familiar with gyms, you are will find that you will plateau quickly with your results. If you want somewhere to learn how to run in marathons/triathalons in a social atmosphere, this is the place for you. If you're happy with hitting a plateau with results, this place is for you. After a bit over 20 weeks and my initial results, I found that the challenge quickly disappeared. This place is NOT aimed at people trying to gain muscle. This was my biggest disappointment about the club. You can tell this is the case from the first few weeks of training there. Big emphasis on cardio - running groups, circuit training, fitness boxing. All these classes are ok to start with, but quickly become boring and repetitive, particularly boxing. Form for people lifting weights is average and light which seemed to convince me further that the majority of people's goals were not aimed at getting lean or adding muscle. For someone paying a personal trainer you would think that they would be able to assist you with this. Not the case. Vision's structured programming limits what PT's can take you through - whole movements are deemed unnecessary and are never seen in the gym i.e. dead lifts, chest/reverse flyes, isolation movements etc). Thus I quickly hit a plateau. There is so much mediocrity in this place it's ridiculous. The worst part is the majority of long term members that also saw initial results haven't really progressed further than when they first started. I noticed zero changes in the way they trained or the way they looked and I was there regurlarly each morning or night. Weight loss challenges are employed in order to retain clients. Go here if you have no idea about gyms and are intimidated by other clubs. Don't go here if you want to be challenged or want to build muscle. Go here if you want to run a lot or do boring boxing sessions. Don't go here if you want proper PT. Go here if you are ok with being mediocre. Don't go here if you want get stronger. Barely average.
