Ambitionz Fitness Rockhampton

Negative experience: I arrived at Ambition Gym this morning as an out-of-town visitor, intending to use my Fitness Passport. I specifically came during staffed hours, expecting the standard procedure of walking in, scanning my Fitness Passport account, and being charged accordingly. Unfortunately, the experience was far from smooth. The young staff member, who had his hand wrapped in a bandage, was extremely unhelpful and impolite. He insisted that I had to pay to use the gym floor, which contradicts the usual Fitness Passport process. While the facility itself looks fantastic—modern, clean, and well-maintained—the lack of professionalism and customer service from the staff severely detracts from the overall experience. It’s disappointing to see such a great facility let down by poor team leadership.

Fantastic experience: After shopping around the gyms in Rocky I can definitely say that this is easily the best gym in Rockhampton. Very nice staff, a kids program for parents, brand new equipment (I’m looking at you goodlife) and great atmosphere. It can get busy at peak hour but all gyms suffer from this. 5/5 review

Negative experience: Firstly, I would like to commend the gym for its facilities and the efforts made to maintain a clean, welcoming atmosphere. However, I believe there is an opportunity to enhance consistency in how gym policies are applied among members. It would be beneficial if the gym could foster a more accepting and respectful environment for all training styles, particularly those that differ from the gym’s conventional methods. I have noticed that the gym staff may inadvertently disadvantage members who follow personalised training programs, such as circuit training or superset programmes. The apparent "time restrictions on equipment" seem to stem from a limited understanding of these training styles, which typically require minimal rest time between sets. Consequently, this can create challenges for members who are trying to maximise their workout efficiency, and reach their personal fitness goals. Encouraging a culture that embraces diverse training approaches will not only improve the experience for all members but also promote a greater sense of community within the gym. I believe that with a bit more education on various training methods, staff and members can better appreciate the value of different styles, leading to a more inclusive and supportive environment. Thank you for considering this feedback. I am confident that with these adjustments, the gym can better accommodate the needs of all its members and enhance their overall experience.

Fantastic experience: At Ambitionz it is comfortable and all staff are friendly and helpful I felt so welcome ever since joining up. It is not only the best price gym but also the most to offer in bonuses in going to this gym, the classes are so amazing and so many people who motivate you. I have always struggled loosing weight and toning but I personally have had the most amazing experience here after loosing a massive 38kg it hasn’t been easy but it was all so worth it ❤️

Fantastic experience: Awesome Gym, Owner trains in the gym and is approachable unlike the corporate structure of other gyms in town.. Staff are very helpful and have great advice. My young teenage daughter joined and feels very welcomed.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in rocky hands down! The staff are friendly and welcoming. Place is the cleanest gym around by far. All the gym goers are super friendly as well. Cheap as chips membership deals with lots to offer. Will always recommend Ambitionz to anyone looking to start up

Negative experience: Never reached out to check why we stopped going (like the previous owners used to). Only communication received was an email after membership was cancelled.

Fantastic experience: Great place to train. The owner and staff are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The equipment is very well maintained and clean. The atmosphere here is welcoming. My partner has now joined here too.
