Fantastic experience: More than a gym, great community of all ages who are in fitness from competitive bodybuilders to older members keeping fit. Good Selection of equipment. Love that you have many services available in the one space. Clean with professional staff on the floor to assist with your needs. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: In my opinion, recently renovated one of the largest gyms in Canberra, new equipment, huge open area ,friendly atmosphere no aggression , best Gym I’ve been to. Must have something to do with Greg !.

Fantastic experience: I use the AF gym and am very pleased with the space ,range of equipment. As a very longtime member I like the ambiance , friendly and helpful staff. Great place.

Positive experience: Amazing gym.

Negative experience: Member for 4 years, this club not worth joining. Services started disintegrating in 2024, so left. Beware of disinterested front-of-house, poor hygiene, reduction in classes, equipment breakdowns, and more. Final straw when wife abused by Crossbody instructor.

Negative experience: Would have given Stellar Canberra 5 stars out of 5 until this week when they suddenly axed 24 of their group fitness classes without any member consultation. If you like cycle, circuits, HIIT then it's probably still OK, but if you're motivated by group classes such as Body Balance, Body Dynamics, Aqua Zumba or Zumba then they've been recently slashed, along with some top notch instructors. Such a shame. (Oh and if you post anything negative about them on their Facebook page, their social media moderator blocks you... wonder how long this review will stay up for Stellar Canberra... )

Negative experience: Signed up as a member just over a month ago. Signed up for the aerobics and Anytime gym access. 4 weeks in a row their debiting system failed due to a technical glitch. Tried charging me admin fees for their system failure. People on the front desk couldn't help, phone goes unanswered, emails to manager go unanswered, told to call debiting company direct (on hold for 2 hours), emailed no response. Decided to cancel membership and get really rude email from debiting company. I really loved the aerobics trainers so am sad to not continue at this gym. But the admin staff and systems do not enable for a smooth experience. Fyi... I had plenty of cash in debit account and card used wasn't due to expire for 2 months. Avoid this place if you want to be charged for their lack of care, lack of service and willingness to charge extra for the system failures. I even emailed the gym manager - no response. Just avoid at all costs. I'd give it 0 stars if it wasn't for the instructors.

Negative experience: Not sure how you join this gym. We have been in person three times, reception not manned as per trading hours. Today the staff member on duty refused to serve us as he was going on break. Have called several times and emailed too no one answers or responds.

Positive experience: The women’s gym is clean and the lounge space is nice with free cuppa. The pool is super small.

Positive experience: The ladies only gym is wonderful, great machines lots of light ,music that is not deafening and a great little lounge area to have a cup of tea.The pool is so warm,I could stay in there forever. However I wasn’t offered a trainer to get me sorted with a program.When I did the 5 week trial no one showed me how to safely use the machines. .What I didn’t like when joining was having to pay a non refundable $65 for a plastic disk-to scan myself into the gym each visit.That’s ridiculous.I am paying the gym so they know I am visiting.?.? Just another money grabbing measure

Positive experience: I use the pool on a daily basis to assist with my ongoing health issues. Over the past few weeks myself and other users of the pool have noticed the temperature of the pool has been allowed to decrease by up to 3 to 4 degrees. The pool is now consistently at a temperature between 29 and 31 degrees. This makes exercising in the pool extremely uncomfortable and the benefits of exercising are reduced substantially due to this reduction in temperature. This is not just my complaint but the majority of the pool user's are of the same opinion. Can this issue please be addressed as soon as possible.

Positive experience: The gym is ok but the parking lot is too narrow and people drive down the middle and don't move aside.

Positive experience: Gym is good and follow up when you haven't been for a few weeks is nice. Admin when cancelling membership is not great. I followed the bouncing ball and the admin was not done so I continued to be charged for membership :(. Still not confident that my membership has been cancelled and therefore not confident that I won't be charged again.

Negative experience: When you cancel your contract they make everything difficult and the try to take as much money they can from you. Read the contract well when you sign and when you cancel. Other than that they are alright.

Fantastic experience: This is the best women’s gym I have ever been to! The staff are so friendly and nice. The gym has a large range of equipment. They also give you complementary lessons with a personal trainer to make a plan tailored for your goals. I had been to another women’s gym previously and had a terrible experience there. I then came to stellar and am glad that I did. If I ever need anything they always help me out. You also have access to classes. Truly the best women’s gym out there!!!

Fantastic experience: Love coming here for Anytime Fitness. Reception is always friendly and helpful. Gym is generally crowded. Wipes are provided. PT's are friendly.

Fantastic experience: I never thought I could go gaga over a gym but I love Stellar! The general staff are so friendly and helpful, the instructors are ALL amazing! There’s Anytime Fitness mixed gym, Women only gym (complete with ALL facilities), indoor pool, outdoor area, cafe, and so many classes to choose from, all held in bright well-equipped studios. THANK YOU!

Fantastic experience: Great classes and swimming program

Negative experience: I want to join and start a Gold Membership. However, I've emailed and no one replied. I called three and was transferred too memberships and both times I didn't get through, left a message and no one called me back. I'm literally trying to give you money and your refusing to take it. The first time I called they couldn't even hear me. I understand they recently opened however it is incredibly unprofessional to not return a eager clients calls or emails. Very annoying considering I guess I have no option but to sign up for another gym.
