Fantastic experience: I drive an hour and a half to train at Underground because it is easily one of the best gyms in the nsw area. The equipment is all really good quality, with everything needed for those competing in powerlifting and those wanting to train within the strength industry. But it is the environment and atmosphere of the facility that stands out. The family at underground are extremely welcoming, they made me feel like part of the family from day 1. The owner has created an environment that is both encouraging and supportive to all members. Couldn’t recommend this gym enough! The family here have been so accommodating and supportive.

Darrell and Emily have totally nailed it, stocking the place with the best equipment. The vibe? Super friendly and motivating – it's got this great community feel that you just don’t get at commercial gyms. It’s clear that there has been so much passion and knowledge put into every square inch of the place. I can't wait to head back there soon!

Fantastic experience: Exceptional visit to Underground Barbell. Darrell and Emily have successfully assembled the most comprehensive list of specialist high quality strength and powerlifting equipment in the Southern Highlands. The gyms atmosphere has been carefully curated to foster a friendly and encouraging community, a large banner covers the wall at the back of the gym reading “welcome home” and that is exactly how the gym feels… forget the globo-gym chains, if you’re serious about strength, and getting strong, good chats and well-being, Underground Barbell is the place to be. Cannot wait to return again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Darrell is a champion of motivation and dedication. Ive only been training at Underground Barbell for a few months but my strength levels have already increased massively. More importantly, the community aspect of the gym is unlike anything else in the area. Darrell has done an exemplary job of creating a supportive and encouraging crew of members who range from absolute beginner's to accomplished competitive lifters.
