Negative experience: Had a 5 day gym pass which was great. However, when it came to pay for a years membership the price went up for seniors rate of &750,00 last week when I enquired, to $895 dollars this week. I like the place but with that sort of change I can go elsewhere and get air conditioning too! Pity!

Negative experience: was happy with staff service for the most part. Employees were always really nice and well meaning cheers for all the help. Got told some information from them which conflicted with what actually happens which is fair cuz they’re just normal people and i probs got confused with wording. but i found the manager dragged out the problem much longer than needed. I was also sold the yearly membership after saying im going travelling soon under the preface i can suspend for as long as i want with no mention of a fee. When i go to suspend the membership they say i have to pay per week. I ended up cancelling, kinda bummed too cuz it’s a nice gym set up ah well

Negative experience: Spoke to a bloke at the front counter about canceling my membership prior to my 12months lock in contract and I asked him about the 30 day notification period I remember being told about when signing up. His response was "you can cancel at anytime". My new gym was being renovated at the time and closed so I didn't cancel then. I now go in to cancel my membership and pay the $150 cancelation (fair enough) but then get told there is a 30 day cooling off period. So for the last 3 weeks I could have been on a cooling off period instead of paying weekly. I understand its in my contract but when I go to confirm with staff and they have no idea which costs me almost $60 extra than expected.. that is disgusting. My parents will be leaving now I will notify a few of my friends as well. The over all experience for the last 9 months was average at best, no air conditioning and the parking is absolutely garbage. Equipment is 5/10 and needs some maintenance. The newly renovated Golds gym (formally challenge fitness) is where is where I am going which has amazing parking, air conditioning, sauna and the owner is almost always there, friendly and willing to help. It is also similar price

Fantastic experience: Great happy and positive environment. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. If you want to feel comfortable and looked after then this is the place to be

Negative experience: I went to do a yoga class with my mum. She’s a member of Genesis as they took over her previous locally owned gym. I have a Fitness Passport and last year was able to access a Genesis using the Fitness Passport tablet at the front during opening hours, at no extra cost, just the membership of Fitness Passport. Now, I am told the tablet has been removed from all Genesis gyms and to enter one MUST pay $40 for a 24 hour access fob. Absolute money grabbing at its worst. I want to do I one yoga class with my mum, during opening hours, but I have to pay $40 on top of the membership I pay for FP. What is the point in being part of Fitness Passport if you’re going to stick a massive cost to someone accessing randomly once? I made it clear I have a regular gym I go to and mum had great things to say about the new yoga teacher, I had a day off and thought we could do it together. Completely disgusted at the obvious money grab when Genesis has agreed to be part of the FP community. If I were to make it my main gym and access it often, I could see the purpose in getting a fob. $40 for a one time random access. No thank you. Highly and extremely rude and a fine capitalism at its worst. And from what used to be a lovely, local and family owned gym.

Fantastic experience: So glad I have found and joined this gym. Staff are super friendly and classes amazing. Love the reformer Pilate and Yoga classes are the best! Very impressed.

Negative experience: Not enough classes

Fantastic experience: Great club offering various classes, equipment & memberships to suit the individual! The staff are amazing & very friendly! Highly recommended checking Genesis out! ❤️

Negative experience: bad staff, super unfriendly and judgey, dumbells and locker keys constantly go missing, have had multiple friends gotten headphones, phones, etc stolen

Fantastic experience: This is my go to gym and has been for 15 years. There are bigger newer gyms, but this one is in the best location for me and it just feels like home.

Negative experience: Says its open 7 to 7, 7 days a week. Went in and it was shut.

Positive experience: The new franchise has done its homework , the facilities have been updated with a Reformer Pilates studio & new equipment. In my opinion the thing that matters most of all is the staff , its truly impressive how friendly they are every-time I visit. The in house PT Nathan is super approachable and caring. Keep up the good work your commitment shows.

Negative experience: I’ve been attending the gym for almost a year now, when I approached a staff member about reasons why they didn’t get any new equipment more user friendly for short people i was told “Not my gym, go train somewhere else”. Really poor customer service and now feel quite uncomfortable being a member of Genesis. Wouldn’t recommend if you like training lower body or like having friendly approachable staff to ask questions.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing place! Awesome facilities that just keep getting better and better with each lot of renovations! Classes are amazing with fantastic, motivating, qualified coaches

Negative experience: Didn’t get to use the gym, website said stay hours are open all day on a Friday, rock up today in the rain and there is a sign saying not open until 3:45pm, update your website please to avoid stuffing people around.

Fantastic experience: 5 star service at Five-star Fitness! Seamless access to the gym with my fitness passport - no need for paperwork or wasted workout time. Plus, when I left my headphones behind in the change room they held onto them for me until I realised and picked them up the next day. Awesome, professional service with a smile. I wish it was like this in Sydney!

Fantastic experience: Five Star is always clean The staff are great And the classes are tailored to suit the working person. I love the design of the place and how every section is functional and easy to use. Oh and come to yoga here ...its by far the best thing about the place!!!!❤

Negative experience: there is No air conditioning in that gym especially in the workout area the staff are unfriendly and abusive and always aggressive behaviour towards customers and clients it is not ok it's criminal activities

Negative experience: OK weights, no air/con. unfriendly and aggressive staff who pick fights with their own clients! Staff appear to be released from a local mental hospital. Also refuse to cancel memberships, dragging out problems for as long as they can while abusing you and threatening you. If there is a review here about staff being friendly it has to be a staff member posting
